One part of my tripod Vanguard Espod CX203AGH (the leveler to unlock the quick release plate) was broken. I had no purchase proof anymore. However, the company sent me the spare part by post without charge (although it took some time to get to the right person for this question - it took some patience and some forth and back mailing). But eventually the problem was solved and now I can continue to use the tripod! I fully support this ecological philosophy to repair things instead of just throwing things away. I had a Vanguard T-060220A Tripod which I bought c. 15 years ago, and my daughter has unfortunately lost the fast release shoe. I spoke to Ian at Vanguard who informed me that this range had long been discontinued but still tried to find the appropriate shoe in their stores. When he couldn't locate it, I discussed my requirements for a suitable replacement, and was given, without asking a 30% discount on his suggested recommendation. Great customer service.
I contacted Vanguard almost a year after buying a Alta Pro 2 tripod and seven months after the locking ratchet on one of the tripod legs stopped working properly. The “no quibble” response was quick and most welcome as I received a new set of VEO 3+ legs in the same week. Full marks for customer service and fingers crossed the VEO 3+ is more reliable. Looks to be very good so far!
Excellent customer service! I contacted Vanguard about replacing the eye-cups on my 8 year old binoculars - which I would have been happy to pay for - and they offered me a replacement pair under warranty as the part was no longer available. Quick response and personal touch. Very impressed. Their binoculars are great, too.
I have been using the Vanguard VEO Select 48BF Backpack for over a month now and must say I am really impressed. I had it on my back for a five day shoot and it is super comfortable, much better than my previous backpack from Kata. It has lots of room, I can have two bodies with lenses attached, 2 extra lenses and a large battery strobe and there is still room for cables and filters. There is a sleeve for a laptop although I haven't used this yet. Under the top flap there are two compartment for used and unused cards which is super helpfull and one of my favourite features. The bags base is sturdy enough to stand up on its own and seems to be water proofed so no worries standing it on wet ground. I really love this backpack and would recommend it to anyone. 5 Stars.
I bought a Vanguard Up-Rise II 33 camera bag over 3 years ago and recently had an issue with the strap. I emailed them, and they kindly sent me a replacement strap FOC. The bag has proved to be excellent, better than the more expensive Billingham and Tamrac bags I had previously. It is very well designed and extremely hard wearing. Despite the relatively small size, it is more than capable of taking my photographic kit as well as several extras. It keeps everything well protected, whilst enabling easy access to all the numerous compartments and pockets.
I had a problem with a leg on my Alta Pro tripod. I asked if I could get a replacement, and to my astonishment, they told me I would recieve a brand new tripod! Not only that, but the replacement was far superior to the one I already had. The best customer service I had ever had. Many many thanks! I'm extremely happy with the new tripod, very very sturdy, and very well made.
I bought a Vanguard ALTA Pro 2 in June 2020 via Amazon. After infrequent use, a leg twist-lock broke, and the leg fell off. I contacted Vanguard World UK to seek a spare part or some other form of help. In brief, I received a brand new replacement, the latest VEO 3+ 263CT, with possibly the best build quality. It looks like I am joining the chorus of praise on customer service, but it is justified. Neil Allen, the customer service contact, was extremely polite and helpful. This is aftersales support at its best.
We have owned a Endeavor HD 82A scope for 6 years. Recently, in a flurry to see a Bittern, it fell over in a bird hide and the tripod mount cracked and broke. We contacted Vanguard who said they had never seen that mount break before and that it was not repairable. They quickly offered us a new replacement at a huge discount. We received a brand new scope within 10 days of breaking our old one. Excellent customer service. Fully recommend.
I have owned a Vanguard tripod (VT-432) for many years. It has performed well throughout. Recently, I needed to purchase a new quick release plate and despite the actual part (number) being unavailable, a representative of Customer Services was able to advise of a suitable alternative.
I have owned a Alta264AO for a few years which developed a problem with one of the legs not locking properly. I got in touch with Vanguard to ask if there was a tool to tighten the leg and was sent a complete replacement. I received advise on how to change the new for old, was sent an email to advise how delivery was progressing and even better not asked for any money. There was no suggestion that this might be my fault or that i might have been misusing the tripod just simple, quality product support. I have no hesitation in recommended that anyone uses this companies products as the service is first rate
Recently bought a "Divider Bag 46" via Amazon having had good experience with smaller hard cases in the past. Really great to be able to buy a so configurable lightweight bag by itself not just in a hard shell. Good range of 4 difference length dividers with "hook and loop" fastening. Would've liked the interior "fabric" a little more fixed to the body of the wall, but really a minor niggle on a great product. Would be nice to see a "divider kit" product but to be honest once I had configured mine for the equipment I wanted to store in it I had a stack of unused dividers. It is a little flimsy outside of a hard case but if you always zip it up before picking it up by the very well stitched handle it's perfectly fine. Great experiences in the past with two other Vanguard products.
I ordered a replacement shoe adapter for my tripod after misplacing my old one and after 2 or 3 days I got a little concerned it hadn't arrived. On checking the DPD tracker it was showing as being handed to me and a picture of it in my recycle box but it wasn't there. I contacted Vanguard and they sorted a replacement out without any problems. I'm now in possession of a new tripod shoe thanks to the excellent service of Vanguard. After expecting a barrage of questions I couldn't have been more impressed with the very personalised customer service I received. Its so refreshing to deal with a company who care about their customers. 10 out of 10 from me.
I bought a pair of Vanguard Spirit ED 1042 binoculars from Amazon in 2013 after reading very positive reviews of them. They've been great for years but recently I've not been able to focus them correctly across both lenses, so I called Vanguard direct to arrange a repair. They were quick to reply, and almost immediately indicated they may be willing to cover the repair under warranty if I had the receipt. Fortunately I did, and after sending this to Vanguard they offered a full replacement without cost. All arranged within a couple of days of me emailing them, and for an 8-year old pair of binoculars. I didn't imagine they would offer such an excellent customer service, so I was delighted to find that they are such an outstanding, honourable and customer-focused company!
I have several Vanguard items and about 18 months ago was lucky enough to win a Vanguard carbon fibre tripod. Recently one of the leg joints became detached and I could not reattach a section. I contacted Vanguard to see if I could buy a replacement part. I spoke to Neil their Senior Account manager who could not have been more helpful 'we'll sort it out ' being the attitude. This morning brand new sections arrived- with a spare - in the post. No cost to me at all. Needless to say I will be buying more Vanguard gear. Excellent customer service. I had a problem with a tripod head - the communication was quick, clear and polite and a replacement was sent out and recieved within a couple of days.
I recently had a query about an item purchased, which appeared faulty ( it wasn’t). Their response was fast,efficient,helpful and resolved the issue. I do not live in the UK and had problems contacting the supplier where I live. Vanguard responding far quicker and in a more satisfactory manner. The tripod purchased is an excellent product, well made, good price and perfect for what I want . I highly recommend this company for the quality of its product and customer service.
When I contacted Vanguard about getting a repair to the eye cup on my fairly old binoculars, they immediately replied offering to replace them with a new comparable pair, worth almost £200, for the cost of £50. I had thought I would have had to pay that much for the repair and a basic clean up so was delighted to accept. The new pair arrived within the week and I'm very satisfied as they are also nearly 200g lighter. Many thanks Neil and Emma.
I had a spotting scope which developed a fault (Moisture in the optics). The scope was several years old and I no longer had the original receipt. On contacting Vanguard they sent out a brand new replacement scope the same day. The scope is excellent and the level of service truly outstanding. Thanks Vanguard. I would recommend their equipment to anyone.
I am a professional photographer who shoots weddings, events, and I also run photography workshops and give talks and presentations. Several years ago, I discovered Vanguard while I was researching a new tripod. I needed a robust tripod that wasn't as heavy as a small car and did not have a ridiculous price tag. There seems to be an assumption that high price means high quality. I wanted high quality at a realistic price, and that is what I found with Vanguard. I bought the Alta Pro 2+ 263CT along with the ALTA BH-250 ball head. This combination is a very sturdy platform and has met my needs for years. The tripod id used several times a week in some of Scotland's worst weather and has been flawless. Well, flawless up until December. In December, one of the twist-lock mechanisms on one of the tripod legs became sticky and occasionally wouldn't hold the leg open. So, I contacted Vanguard directly and described the problem. I received a reply from Emma, who asked for further details. We communicated by email over the next few days. Emma was prompt and concise in her responses, and after a few emails, Vanguard decided to send me an entirely new set of tripod legs. A couple of days later, the replacement legs arrived in the post. Vanguard volunteered this level of service, and I could not be more impressed. I have many Vanguard products, and this is the first time I have had an issue. But, this level of after-sales service has convinced me that my loyalty is not misplaced. I have no qualms about recommending Vanguard products to anyone.
