I have a tripod that is around 4 years old and generally am very happy with it - it is well made, lightweight and easy to use. Recently a small part in the central stem broke, leaving me unable to lock the stem in place. I contacted Vanguard help desk who very quickly offered to supply a repair part, which arrived a couple of days later and fixed the problem perfectly, all free of charge. Excellent customer service - it’s so nice to find a company that is so helpful!
The Best quality equipment on the market , from the moment it arrived I was able to make this assessment , as a career Mission Critical Technical Engineer by profession I know quality when I see it .

The customer support is beyond expectations- I have mailed in with questions about extra quick release plates and even how to fit larger spiked feet on to my tripod - all questions answered with detail and links to go. Loving this tripod - product great -but customer service is above and beyond.
I needed a replacement part ( which was no longer available) and had lost my receipt. The binoculars were replaced by Vanguard within a day . Truly Exceptional customer service . Easy to contact, very courteous and extremely helpful . I would recommend them without hesitation.
Shipping was fast, good value for money and my QS PICATINNY RAIL FOR EQUALIZER 1QS Picatinny adapter for my BSA R10 works great.
The item arrived quickly and was of very good quality. Unfortunately it didn't fit me scope but Vanguard's customer service were brilliant in helping me out. When I finally had to return the item there were no quibbles and the refund was quickly paid.
Had a wee problem with the camera mount on a tripod I bought just under a year ago. Emailed Vanguard for guidance and the very helpful Emma organised a replacement for me that arrived the following day! No hoops to jump through - just good old fashioned customer care. Other companies should take note. This is how it’s done. Oh, and the tripod is pretty darned good too! 😉
I recently had a problem with one of my tripod legs,which was totally my fault,not cleaning properly after a day on the beach.The help I received from Vanguard from first phone call was absolutely first class .This is a company big enough to make superb sturdy and affordable tripods that rival and exceed many of the more expensive brands but also small enough to offer genuine friendly customer service that is second to none.
Great price and really useful bag. Perfect for street photography as the bag opens out from body , thus being more secure.
3 day turn around, December the 19th amazing I purchased a tripod from a third party sales oitlett and realised it was the wrong model, I came direct to vanguard and explained the situation, they helped me out by explaining and allowing me to purchase the correct model. Here's my kicker, it was the 17th of December and the pod was for a present on the 25th. Ian said he will do his best to help. Well it turned up on the 19th. What an amazing company. Full on communication, these guys are faultless. Thank you

Well thought out design, but not the best for tall people Vanguard VEO Active 46 25 Litre Trekking Backpack, I have used it on several hikes and I am fairly content with it. I am 6'3" tall, I find the backpack rides high, so the harness does not allow the waist belt to sit on my hips, so all the weight is carried on my shoulders. After 7 or 8 miles and carrying only 30lbs, it does become less comfortable. Lengthening/loosening the shoulder straps enables the pack to sit on the hips to share the load, but then the pouches on the shoulder straps are not accessible. This is a small price to pay for comfort on long arduous walks. It is a shame that Vanguard do not offer height adjustments like Osprey and Lowe Alpine do on some of their ranges. There is no feature to secure walking poles, or an ice axe. For the walking poles I have sewn on some double loops for the pegs and Velcro type wrap to secure the poles. I have probably invalidated the warranty when I sewed them on. But the pack is very well made and feels very robust. Being able to access the pack from the harness panel, does mean there is a lack of ventilation to reduce a wet back, but you can't have it both ways. No pack completely negates this problem. This inconvenience is a small price to pay for the ease of access to the backpack. The bladder pouch is not large enough to hold my full 2 litre Osprey bladder, but it will comfortably hold a 1 litre Nalgene bottle. If necessary I can put my bladder in the notebook sleeve. Not ideal but it works. The detachable stuff pouch is a good size, and gives the option to hold a lens for quick access or can be used as a general goodies sack. It is a shame that these are not sold separately. Accessing the main compartment from the outside provides excellent and easy access to the main compartment for kit that is not in the camera box. The side belt pouch is a great design, and a good size to hold my compass, snacks, lens cleaning kit and cloth. The top pouch is deep and very roomy, the securing strap is great for attaching a jacket or quickly stashing away a rain jacket when not needed. I like the USB cable, the pouch holds my Venture 30 with a little room for other knick-knacks, and I can attach my solar panel to the daisy loops on the back of the pack. Overall this is a very good backpack, solidly constructed and fairly well thought out in the design and would be worthy of 4 stars. However, I have given it 3 stars due to not being ideal for someone who is tall.
We bought a replacement eyepiece ring for my wife’s Vangaurd binoculars. We were a bit disappointed that the eyepiece ring came away as we hadn’t used it much and we had treated it respectfully. We felt that the cost of the replacement part was expensive as was the post and packing charge for what was a compact and light item.
