Seems like a ton of updates but I understand it is consumer driven. Most of the time the tech support guys are friendly and very helpful. Love that I have my favorites even if you moved my all time favorite, Connor, to a new position. Need more like him!

We get at least monthly, sometimes as much as weekly SPAM from this company. When you try to unsubscribe, it just opens up a new browser window with no direction to an unsubscribe page. The only other way is to sit on hold after calling them for who knows how long. We did not sign up for any spam from this company and have already told Intuit that we are angry at them for sharing our info. August 31 2023 - still sending unwanted spam. Has not responded to any attempts to contact them and we are now receiving weekly or bi-weekly spam.

Unfortunately, we decided to use AccuPOS when we started our new business. We spoke to Customer Service who provided us with a number of features we were looking to integrate for our store. AccuPOS initially  acknowledged that the features are accessible and will work in our area, but  we were later informed that geo-location problems are ultimately to blame for our problems. From the outset, we notified AccuPOS that the system was not performing as promised following installation. Up until this point, our system has not been entirely functioning. We were advised that a system upgrade needed to be finished by one of the technicians. While communicating with the technician On-call, the call dropped leaving our POS system in Demo mode and rendering it inoperable for the rest of the day. AccuPOS could not be reached despite our best efforts that day. We were encouraged by AccuPOS to purchase an Android device to help us with one of the features we requested however, we were subsequently informed after purchasing that they the software is not quite ready. Our problems were never fixed, and Customer Service was always difficult to reach. To make matters worse, after explaining our problems from the very beginning to end, we requested a refund and were informed that the deadline had passed. AVOID MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!

1st up, AccuPOS started billing my monthly fees before I received the computer I purchased from them to use the software on. That should have been a sign. I received my beautiful Wintec unit with a built in customer screen and very attractive white modern housing. I was quite impressed. That was January of 2021. We started to try to get the system up and running. I spent hours on the phone with patient and friendly support staff who accessed my computer remotely to set things up. But we never got it working. Turns out that my Sage50 system is not a match for the AccuPOS system, and I was not willing to pay the large sum (annual fee) to upgrade my Sage50 to enable the software to integrate with AccuPOS. That was April of 2021. I returned my unit to AccuPOS, and it was delivered by Canada Post on April 23rd. I wrote to them again several times, most lately today, September 3rd, 2021, asking to please send the refund. They owe me a total of $2161 US. They told me a cheque would be mailed on June 16th. I guess my next step is to contact a lawyer.

What I need: 1. A technical manual, so I can setup maximum amounts, configure tables and orders, sales tax, etc. 2. I found 6 year old YouTube user training videos, unfit for training our staff because the screens look very different. We need updated videos. 3. A chat channel with the AccuPOS help desk.

I am writing this because I can’t get a response from anyone but the unfortunate Support techs that obviously don’t get any support themselves! I am currently trying to open a restaurant, we have had so many problems from getting the hardware delivered without all the software needed to run the required credit card processor. They represented that it was a wireless system so we set up a wireless network, then when we were trying to work out the many bugs the support tech told us we needed to have a LAN Ethernet network, so I had to install 1500 ft of cable, ( removing have the ceiling tile we had just replaced) only to find that that didn’t solve the problems! We have been dealing with AccuPOS as well as Wold Pay, their required CC processor, in almost 2 weeks time they could even complete the simple, basic task of adding a TIP line on the receipt! Last night was our opening night, the system crashed and credit cards would not process at all and the server hand held terminals weren’t working. We actually had to close early on our first night, with a full house of people, because of the total chaos! They were aware of the problems but management did nothing to correct it. I was on hold the day before yesterday for 1 hr 2min 17 seconds and never spoke to a person. As we speak I have been on hold for 58 minutes and they know our system is down and we open at 4:00. I have asked 3 time to be contacted by management and they won’t even give me a name or number.

Great system making our lives easier. We've used the system for over 10 years now in multiple locations because of its ease to use and reliability. AccuPOS' integration with Sage50 has made managing our house accounts and overall books significantly easier. Sage50 was great but did have some new recent changes and limitations so we moved over to QuickBooks this last year and the integration is even easier and more useful. We've searched around for other replacements but others either have inventory limitations or dont allow for integration with accounting, and when they do, they do not send the same level of information AccuPOS is able to send. Overall great product that is worth the investment.

Program NEVER ran properly. They had to use an outdated server to get the program to install on my computer (brand new pc) but refused to give the updated one I actually purchased, although I have the updated program. Constantly asking for tech support, never receiving any. I have had to chase them to actually perform the support, and after waiting another 2 weeks for them to call and set up service time, they have DELETED my support calls!! THEY HAD NO INTENTION OF FIXING THEIR CRAPPY PROGRAM! I have paid for the tech support I have NOT received. They will NOT reimburse this money. DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM!!! IT DOES NOT DO WHAT THEY CLAIM IT DOES!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!

Terrible system, constantly freezes and goes down, will not process credit card tips. ACU POS has been working on this for over a month with no solution. 1-2 hour wait for customer support to answer the phone. Save your money and buy another system

Poor integration with Sage 50 We switched to AccuPOS mainly because it would integrate with our Sage 50 accounting. Also because of a couple features such as specifying a random UPC format with 5 digit PLU number. However, after 2 years we have switched away from it. Here are the main issues we faced: Daily usage in making sales: 1. AccuPOS is slow in almost every step. The time from scanning one or many items, until the total is calculated, is over a second, maybe 2, but long enough the clerks needed to habitually pause before announcing the total sale. Very counter-intuitive for a Point of SALE. 2. Another problem that this slowness caused was immediately after entering an item, if you tapped on the quantity or price to customize it, AccuPOS would look like it's ready for you to key in, but then would blink away to the normal screen again. Only when you either waited long enough, or tapped it again, could you change the price or quantity. Again, not useless, but very very counter-intuitive for a place where you are regularly making SALES, in as fast a time as possible. 3. Printing barcode labels takes 3rd party software, and a complicated procedure to use. Using Accounting Integration 1. AccuPOS can import the items/inventory from Sage 50. But it barely works. And it didn't save us any time in price updates, etc. 2. AccuPOS can import the customers from Sage 50. But it does not import the customer's discount info, etc. 3. AccuPOS can export to Sage 50 any customer account payments. But this still does not eliminate a Receipt transaction in Sage 50 to apply the payment. Not really any fault of AccuPOS, but we thought we would be saving time, and not so. 4. AccuPOS messed up a bunch of our account payments, by a bug in the integration software that didn't specify a date with the account payment. 5. AccuPOS can export the sales to Sage 50. But this doesn't always work. The integration software will fail randomly, and when you catch on you have to tediously re-export all the sales that got missed. Then when it does work, we caught on after about a year with AP that it is wrecking our Sage 50 database. The Credits and Debits on the database are no longer equal, and they get further apart with every single sales import. No amount of coaching could persuade AccuPOS to fix it, and I still feel frustrated, because we paid AccuPOS something like $120/month, and will likely have to pay Sage 50 to fix our books now. In short, my overall review of the company and its software development team and methods, is both outdated, and lazy. Often was hard to talk to a tech member. And when you did, you were lucky to get one that understood the software enough to help with it. Various designs in the software are counter-intuitive, even if they might be easy to learn, they require some inefficient steps to use. They totally revamped the software last year, and most of the changes made it a little harder to use. Incredible, but honestly true. I hope someone considering AccuPOS, especially to integrate with Sage 50, takes a warning, and pays attention to details that will become important later. Thank you for allowing me to express my honest story.

We ran into a tough never seen issue due to a recent release pushed by QuickBooks which effected our ability to import sales from our POS system into QB - Mike and the gang were steadfast and diligent in their quest to find a solution as this problem as it had stopped all our internal accounting in its tracks. Thank you to all the professionals at AccuPOS. I’m grateful your our POS provider.

Best customer service I have EVER experienced. No matter the issue the tech didn't give up, even after I did to resolve my issues. She exhausted all efforts and then some to get my point of sale up and running. In the end she jumped every hurdle to make sure my POS was running smoothly.
