It's a wonderful site so easy to use.

To be honest it’s early days but we have got off to a good start
The information displayed per person is minimal. It is not possible to color code by family line which would be useful. My heritage has this function. Importing and exporting info loses info. It’s ok. Could be better.
The app doesn’t display properly on my iPhone, when trying to deal with an opened record, the accept /reject button is hidden. The on-line version also has glitches. No back button once you are looking at a record forcing you to push the home button and go through again the various stages. Clunky or what! I bought 3 monthly subscription and did not get value for money during the first month as trying to work around these problems. On trying to catch up with my research, the fair offer policy, has now blocked me for the rest of the month. Not a great experience. Impressed with the search programme but let down by clunky interface. Also there is a slow down each afternoon. Can only think this is due to the US coming on line. Go on surprise me and unblock my account or give me something for all the inconveniences. Very sad 😊
I'm loving Find my Past. Its so easy to navigate, search for people and documents. I've tried several other family tree services, this one is up there as one of the best in my opinion
So pleased to trace my late Fathers family back in time, it was ideal. I also managed to find his military records through a link.

Very little that is not pay for play. Subsciptions very expensive. Not the greatest help. Findmypast is not recommended. Money seems to be at the heart of all they offer. Almost every link Findmy past has sent to me requires payment at the end of it so I still have little or no information about the records they have found as I always hit PayWall. The records belong to the UK Government who have given Findmypast and others the right charge for every little thing they can think of (and they do) meaning it is very difficult and very costly to trace your ancestors. This means for most people on modest incomes the task will never be done. Never forget Findmypast is a business there to make money, not to help you.
Have not answered my queries regarding problems with using the find my past site stopping my access to all areas even though paid my full subscription 😑 very frustrating indeed and a waste of my time and money

I didn't get any photos of my ancestors and every time I got a hint I was told I couldn't explore it
Useless newspaper-pay as you go! 😒 I've contacted Customer support who tried to help & ended up sending me the incorrect record! I've tried using my tablet & my mobile, so I know it's not just me! Thankfully I opened up a PayPal dispute instead to get a refund this time! Let me know when your " ops there seems to be an issue" is sorted bye for now! *UPDATE!• The PayPal dispute got refused by Findmypast as they said they had delivered the item !?! & PayPal asked whether I’d like to return it? & now I can contact customer support if I have issues? I did before! They refunded me but did not resolve the solution? So I’ll stick with other more reliable Websites thank you
Found the site confusing especially when trying to add people to tree. The app didn’t respond well sometimes crashing.

My main question, of two, was not answered.
I used this when there was a free weekend around remembrance 2023. It was easy to use and quite interesting to do. I haven't subscribed as I'm not sure I would use it enough to make it worthwhile at the moment, but I would consider it in the future and I occasionally pop on and tweak it.
Lots of very good information available but not very easy to negotiate the website due to so much of it! Not a criticism by any means - just that as a newby I find locating specific info difficult Fingers crossed that once I’m more familiar with, I shall be able to work my way through much easier. A great website to find your heritage!!
