For personal reasons two year ago I needed to stop my membership of Find my Past. Recently I emailed Find my Past (twice) to explain and asking if it was possible to renew membership and get the normal 15% discount. Very upset that the company could not find time to reply. I have however rejoined paying the full price, maybe I should have used “Top Cash Back” and obtain the equivalent discount.

I wish companies will learn - by all means ask once to put a review even one reminder would be ok but when your constantly being nagged - I don’t work for you therefore I don’t have to leave a review!

I wish the prices were a lot lower then more people might use the membership more often. It would also be good if the price was based on a per access or per days usage instead of a set time period, then it would be better value overall, otherwise it's a bit of a rip off if you can't always get online to access the site as much as you could.

I really struggle to try to add family members that I know, I'm not finding it easy at all 😔

Bit difficult filling in details . Takes time working out places of Births and Deaths because of changes to places of registration .Also only using one Main name of relative .

There is loads of information, but sometimes that fact and the endless emails can be overwhelming - just had one saying the are 5000+ newspaper articles about one name. I’d prefer pointers and prompts on the site so I feel less engulfed by it! I would also feel less submerged in repetitive information if I could simply download sources once and have one click access to them, I can build up the information in notes. The fun is slightly marred by the system.

Sadly underwhelming experience-haven’t paid thus far - glad I haven’t as it’d be a waste of money…

The free trial showed me that I need to devote considerable time to being able to maximise my connection to Find My Past. It also showed that it is helpful to have enough information about one's family to be able to gain most from the research. A good knowledge of England's geography is helpful and a practical understanding of how people far travelled in past centuries. And it indicated how much it costs to take part in the research. Thank you for the trial.

Poor experience with this company paid my 24.99 then less than 48 hours later got a 24 hour ban for unfair usage . My opinion is they dish out this ban to keep you from searching your family tree so fast so they can keep charging you

Took the 7 day trial. After a couple of days, I tried to get back online. It asked for a password which I did not have. I used the forgotten password option to set up a password. Didn't get back to the original free trial and was offered another free trial. They ask for payment details which you can cancel if you don't want to join the site. Now trying to cancel my payment.

I bought a 1939 census search, got the email confirming payment, but nothing was sent to me (nor appeared anywhere in my account). It feels like a scam. The attempt to get support was an unhelpful AI, or an indeterminate wait for a human who may or may not respond.

I tried to enter to sign up through my gmail, and correct password, and it refused, telling me to change my password. Like no... Here I am hot to trot and nothing. Very disappointed!

I’ve found 3 generations of my family and discovered my great grandparents were polish immigrants who came to England in the late 1800s

Very poor website. Subscription package is far too expensive for what is provided, and the experience of using the site is poor and not intuitive. They need to do some major development work on the website to improve the many issues.

I found the site very easy to use and the information was extremely interesting. I would have continued with it but I did find it rather expensive.

Unimpressed with website - accepted hints wont load to tree repeatedly. Also had poor response to problem uploading GEDCOM from their customer service. Have upgraded from the free trial but website keeps telling me I can’t access certain records. So far this site does not compare well with Ancestry

Extremely helpful customer service, for an amazing site. We have discovered so much about our family, even photos and newspaper articles of distant ancestors. I recommend anyone even remotely interested in their family history to sign up, I subscribed to the full lot and it's worth every penny.
