You are locating loads of Leeds which are very helpful but I having problems working out the explanations re 4, 5, cousins etc I'm sure I'll sort it out it's getting it straight in my mind
finding new info about family.
The hints for added ancestors popped up almost immediately after adding them to my tree. There were a few instances where wrong information was shown, but I believe that these errors were from incorrect entries from other people.
Made some unexpected discoveries from the newspaper archives!
Was not helpful with finding my past
I took advantage of the free offer of military récords. I was surprised to be told that there were no results for the récords of Joseph Thomas Pavitt even though I had correct birth & death dates. Is this just an anomoly?
I have been a member of Findmypast for quite a number of years now and find they have a very good range of records and newspapers thatare easy to search and understand and their customer service is first class. During all the years I have been a member I experienced a problem today for the first time, I contacted customer support and received a reply and a resolution within 10 minutes! I cannot recommend them enough
Lots of records, but unfortunately they are not always easy to access. I had to use a little bit of detective work to get at the correct result. I even asked test questions that I already knew the answer to 2-3 times, but I was sometimes given different answers to the same search. I had a feeling that it was happening by design, for some reason. Not 100% user-friendly, but not too bad. The free days are a really good idea indeed, and I really appreciated it.

Its a good starting ground but I found it difficult to get much information on northern Ireland records and for having a interest in finding out about my ancestry its disheartening that unless you can afford to pay out a lot of money you cant have access to what you actually need so for as is typical the well off its truly great but for the less well off its just another thing to rub in rhat you only get what you can pay for

I want to be able to search the history of a house but there is no option when using iPhone/ipad.
Searching old Newspapers is brilliant also the 1939 register. It used to be easier seaching the really old Parish Records before 1750, I used to be able to find them but now not so easy, must be there somewhere?
Is a truly a brilliant website, I appreciate all the work to digitalise old documents of great historic value of the life of normal people.
Very interesting finding details about my dads and mums family who some I have known of but not the dates etc, thank you team.
I do find Findmypast more user friendly than the other genealogy websites. I don't find them American biased like some and it's easy to navigate and search for people
