I usually hang up on cold calls but not today. I received a call from a lovely gentleman, I believe his name was Matthew. He was very friendly and professional. He arranged for someone to visit tomorrow to give a quote. I really hope all Dunraven staff are like Matthew and I look forward to having a new conservatory thanks to him. Well done Dunraven Windows. Brilliant service Matthew.
Had new windows doors and an orangery fitted. The quality of the product was absolutely outstanding. The boys working on my home were very highly trained and the quality of their work was excellent. Jason the plasterer Mike the plumber and Simon who fitted my orangery were extremely good at what they do. The project manager Gareth was always on the job and at the other end of the phone at all times. No job was too big for him. A true Gentleman I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.
Excellent service. Done a very good job replacing conservatory roof .would recommend to anyone
Thank you Dean for sorting out our doors today, it is great having the doors shutting and locking as they should. Job well done 👍.
A guy came to my house saying he was doing another house in the street and would I like a quote. If I did then he’d take my details and the office would contact me for a ‘no obligation quote’ that would be valid for a year. Took the call earlier today where the lady on the phone reiterated the ‘no-obligation’ 12 month validity quote - So far so good. Then she tried to arrange a time for the rep to visit and quote so I provided details and she then asked if my partner would be in at that time to which I replied ‘It’s my house and my mortgage so the decision making is my responsibility’. She said ‘it doesn’t matter, your partner has to be there’ to which I replied ‘thanks but no thanks.’ Obviously a scam to try the hard sale but the fact is that as the homeowner I don’t need anyone to tell me what to do. I’m almost tempted to re-engage and play their game so I can tell them to do one to their face. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Total shambles of a company if that’s their MO. Avoid….
The people at this company have been extremely helpful and courtesy. They turn up at time booked and complete the job without any trouble. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
This company would not leave you alone once they’ve got hold of your number! I’ve told them many times that we have changed our mind and not going to replace our front door, they still use different mobile number and have different sales people to phone me nonstop. Surely this is against the law and considered harassment!
Booked a quotation and the salesmen turned up on time. However, my wife had to leave for something way more fun than a window quote at the point the salesmen turned up. Seeing this, he made it very clear that he couldn't possibly quote with just me and in a surprising twist, very openly stated it was because he was going to pressure us to buy on the day. He then iterated that if we were to reorganise he would need 2 hours for the appointment and doubled down on the statement that he would be pushing for us to buy on the day.. Why on earth it is appropriate for a company to push people into spending £20,000+ after two hours with no room for thought is disgusting. Ironically we have now booked a quote with their main competitor who didn't mind at all that the wife won't be around. Update 06/02/24 In response Dunraven's comment - as they should know I had already raised the issue with them when the (lovely) young lady phoned me up to rebook me in. At that point I made it very clear why we wouldn't be rebooking and the lady sounded genuinely mortified, she then stated she was making notes and needed to speak to her manager and profusely apologised and let me know she would speak to her manager and get them to call me back. I can only assume that they knew this was their tactic and therefore ignored the ladies worries and/or shock! Of note, we went to their competitor Everest who gladly quoted us for superior windows (with only one of us being present), saved us well over £6000 for every window and door to be done, getting well over £16,000 in work. They were very amused that Dunraven considered them a competitor (the feeling was very much not mutual!)
From my Dad Dunraven have replaced my conservatory (leaky) glass roof. Four fitters removed the old roof, guttering and sofit boards in a morning and in the afternoon put the new roof on. The following day they fitted plaster boards internally and composite tiles externally. In the afternoon the interior was plastered. The following day the electrician fitted all the lights. The team of workers were excellent and perfectly cleared the site. They worked exceptionally hard and were a delight to deal with along with their Project Manager. The quality of the roof and the supports were very impressive. I am delighted with the product and the service I was given. As a result I have no hesitation in recommending Dunraven
We have been customers of Dunraven for the past 15years, we have never had any problems, always very polite and professional and willing to go that extra bit to ensure the work is done to a high standard. We have had conservatories built and windows installed, and more recently we've had another set of windows replaced and some touch-up work in the conservatory. On this occasion the work was done by David and Jason, who both worked extremely hard for the time they were at our home, on completion of the work, everything was cleaned up to a high standard. From a customer perspective, it was a job well done, to a high standard. We would definitely use Dunraven again.
I moved into a house with a single storey orangery which was built by Dunraven a little over a year ago. The roof is leaking. We contacted Dunraven and despite the fact that the build is less than 2 years old, (which is realistically reasonable to expect a builder to be still be liable for their work) we were simply told that the guarantee isn't transferable and basically tough luck. Extremely poor customer service.
If I could go back in time I would ensure I never let the sales person in my house, but as I can't, I'm writing this as cautionary tale to anyone else who is considering hiring Dunraven for work. The process here went wrong at all stages and is still an on-going saga. For context, we hired Dunraven to replace the back French doors of our property and also replace the front entry door. First, the salesman. Made 4 major claims during his sales pitch: 1. Dunraven manufacture every door and window they install -- Reality: they make the PVC doors only (maybe also the windows, but we only purchased doors) 2. Every combination of door and style is available for selection -- Reality: the full selection we made for our front door (and paid a deposit for) wasn't possible or even sold anymore 3. No payment is taken until the job is fully complete to our satisfaction -- Reality: the servicing department hounded my partner for the full payment after their second visit, with her caving on the third, despite all the issues that were still ongoing 4. They claimed the full job would be completed in a single visit. -- Reality: we're on visit 7 (and counting.) Next, let's move on to how the 1 visit became 7. Visit 1: Arrived as scheduled, however was informed the back doors were smashed and unsafe to install. Despite this, the installer said their boss has ordered them to still install it. They would only not do that if we expressly said no - which of course we did. Front door therefore installed, however fitted wonky causing operational issues. The door was also missing the indoor handle attachment and the outdoor handle was broken and required replacement. Visit 2: They returned to sort the back French doors. These were installed mostly without a hitch, however the indoor handle was completely scuffed and required replacement. At this time they also refitted the front door and attached the indoor handle. Visit 3: Came to replace the outdoor handle on front door and replace the indoor handle on the back door. Since the first visit, the indoor front handle became loose and needed replacement. It was at this time my partner was pressured by the servicing head (Nigel) to pay the outstanding balance. The fitter recommended we hold back a token amount, which Nigel confirmed would be written off once the job was complete due to all the hassle we'd been through. Visit 4: Attempted to replace indoor handle again. However as a different handle was used, there were deep marks in the door all around it that were clearly visible, it was installed upside down and wasn't flush with the door. At this point I took over from my partner due to the distress and upset they were causing her. So I called Dunraven again to get this resolved, they then suddenly claimed there were no records of any problems, claiming only the first visit occurred (even though they literally sent someone out that day to replace the handle, hence our call). Nigel claimed ignorance to agreeing the write off of the token amount and said it would have to go through his supervisors but they'd be unlikely to permit it. Huge change in attitude since they received the majority of the fee. I made it clear they were to contact me regarding all matter going forward to which they acknowledged. Visit 5: Still no word from Nigel regarding the final fee write off. However they missed the original date they arranged for attempting to sort the indoor handle for a third time and only called to apologise a few days later. When the installer eventually came on a rearranged date, they successfully replaced the indoor handle. It now works and looks correct. Visit 6: Installer came, identified that a key support bar was not installed, causing the frame to warp rather than the door. Needed to order the part so not resolved. Visit 7: Came and installed the support bar. Claimed it was "normal" to need to push the door to release the locks before it'll open. Since this visit, we have had visits from two other companies for non-related work and both have spoken, unprompted, about the shoddy quality of the door installation. We expected this to be the end of needing to deal with Dunraven, but we were not that lucky. Within a month the door now refuses to open, the lock appears to get stuck. After much struggling it will eventually open and operate for the remainder of the day (mostly), but it is an ongoing issue. We caved and called Dunraven to resolve and have another appointment for 17/06/2024. They do not care about the customer and did not resolve the problems as they claimed they would do in the reply to this review. They are a cowboy trader who will gaslight you and treat you like an idiot. Save yourself the mental anguish and financial impact and stay away from Dunraven.
We're coming up to 10 years since we had our conservatory from Dunraven. We carefully considered the options at the time with several companies, and were waiting for the hard sell but to be fair the guy we had from Dunraven was excellent. Quoted a price, gave us a time schedule and they stuck to it and we had it done in time for Christmas as promised. Absolutely love the conservatory, we sometimes have the bi-fold doors wide open and use it like a porch in the summer, or close both sets of doors in the winter to keep things nice and cosy. They came out a few times in the 1st year or 2 as things settled and needed a few adjustments here and there, and since then it's been fairly maintenance free. We did need another call recently, almost as our 10 year guarantee was up, as the handle was becoming a bit stiff and fair play they came out and sorted that out straight away. Very pleased, thank you. Paul & Sarah, Cardiff.
Thankyou to the two workmen from Bridgend who fitted my new window and door. Excellent job and so clean and tidy. Such good service from the whole team.
Honestly if I could leave zero stars, I would. We had Dunraven knock on our door several times in 2022 and we decided to get a quote for our windows and doors in the summer of 2022. A gentleman came, took measurements, talked us through the process and said he would call back with a quote in the next few days. No one called, we even called them and said they would give him a nudge, never heard from them. This year I’ve received phone calls asking if we’re still interested, which resulted in me explaining the situation and agreeing to a second quote - which was never arranged. November 2023 we were approached by a sales rep whilst doing some shopping, we explained the situation again and the rep was appalled, he actually managed to convince us to try a third time so we can see roughly what costings we were working with. We booked for someone to come and measure up for the following week. I went out whilst my other half stayed at home, but the man that came to measure up (a family relation of the owner) insisted that we both needed to be present even though everything was discussed beforehand between us (and nothing was indicated over the phone that we would both need to be at home). The man returned, gave us the prices, which weren’t what we were necessarily expecting, tried to pressure us into signing a contract with a slight reduction there and then, on a 10 or 12 year finance agreement. He then gave us 30 minutes to decide if this was something we were going ahead with. A financial contractual agreement for 10 to 12 years isn’t something we could have agreed to within less than an hour, not having an understanding of where it fit into our finances! Upon returning my other half politely explained our perspective and that we would not be taking the offer. The man pushed for another slight price reduction, still not something we were comfortable with, and then huffed at my other half and said ‘don’t know why we bothered coming out here in the first place’. May I add that seeing as this man is the sales director and a family relation of the owner, which in my opinion reflects on the business and their model as a whole, they should really reconsider their sales tactics and their attitude. I’m sure that as a 10 year old you’re taught to have more decorum. So unprofessional, rude and given the amount of negative reviews that I’ve seen, we dodged a bullet!
Don’t deserve any stars, appalling service. Only one thing Dunraven did was to rip us off. Professional Con Artists
Greg Bennett visited us tonight on behalf of Dunraven Windows to quote us for every window and 2 doors to be replaced in our house. What an absolute gentleman, zero pressure but had an absolute passion for the product he was selling with unbelievable compassion and reassurance. Discussing our needs and requirments with this guy over a cup of coffee genuinely felt like having a friend in the house, he wasn't a salesman he felt like a guest, I'd trust him with my Grandmother. Although we havent got round to installation yet I would recommend this company and would definitley request this man to come and soend an hour or so with you to discuss your needs. Thanks Greg was an absolute pleasure to meet you.
Absolutely outstanding service from Dunraven for my new windows and door. The fitters, David and Alex were world-class with their attention to detail and to say I am happy with the finish is a massive understatement! Highly recommend. Massive Thank you to the Dunraven team and Alex & David xx
