though the person who knocked the door was polite, when the office called they would not book a quote in without my husband needing to present- even when explaining i could not say when he would be home ( i dont feel the need to explain our life circumstances to a stranger),i work from home and am more than flexible as always here. it would also be my money and my decisions as the conservatory is used for my work. With it being 2023 i find it very sad that a company can not allow an independent woman make her own choices and be trusted to discuss if needed.
Dunraven have been amazing from start to finish. Every trade that came to the house worked so hard, and despite a couple of hiccups with sizings they rectified it straight away. I was so impressed with how clean everything was at the end of every day. Having two small children with no kitchen or back of the house could have been so stressful, but Dunraven ensured that the kitchen was left in as long as possible and we were never left without electric or heating. We are really chuffed with the work and excited for the summer to start using our new bi fold doors. The only room for improvement is the lady at the office who is quite rude if you don’t have your reference number on your there and then despite others using a postcode - but this review was for the trades people! Thank you!
My new conservatory has just been completed and I am delighted with it. From start to finish the service has been excellent. The team on site work incredibly hard, are helpful, tidy and all the rubbish was taken away promptly. I was slightly apprehensive about the project but I am impressed with everything.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY Since the beginning of our experience the communication between the mobile staff, us and the main office has been so poor. Staff not turning up for appointments scheduled by the office, or turning up when they have been cancelled. There is one lady on the office phone line who is rude and aggressive. Their tactics of calling you several times and leaving answerphone messages, emails and letters all at once are also aggressive. Last week I had several missed calls, an answerphone message and an email all arrive within a 2 hour window when I was at a funeral. I read the email and it just confirmed the details of installation (no request for me to call them back). I called the office back after the funeral before the reception and explained that I needed the frequent calls to stop right now as I was at a funeral and was essentially told off and told I MUST communicate with the company. No apologies and no empathy. I was so upset. I called today as I was told installation would be at 8:30 (it is now 9:30) and no one has arrived. The same woman took my call and reminded me that I was rude on Friday and that if I didn't take my reference number off her immediately she would no longer take my calls. I just received a call from the builders and they are late because they were given the wrong postcode. They eventually arrived 2 hours late. Later on I had a call from the plumber who was sent to another postcode (not same as the builders) who needed directions to my house. The men actually installing the doors are very helpful and it’s a shame that the organisation is letting them down. The work was sloppy. My doormat was ripped and not replaced. My skirting was damaged and replaced with another colour. The inside step is a dark brown which doesn’t match anything. The outside doesn’t even have a cover on the step.
On completion of the work, Dunraven Windows proved to be an excellent company with an excellent product, and we would highly recommend them to anyone. We have recently had their representative Jeff Howell call again to quote us for further installation work, he was most helpful and informative yet again.
We are very happy with the way everyone in the company handle their work. From the girl that introduced Dunraven to us, to the window fitters everything went really smooth and left good impression from everyone involved. Thank you very much. Good job.
8 weeks after their own engineer told us the brand new doors need to be replaced as they are the wrong size Dunraven still cannot tell us when they will be out to replace them. Numerous phone calls and emails don't get returned TBH I wished we had not bothered with them. They do not care now they have our money. So it's been another month and they still can't sort out our doors. Phone calls are not returned when promised and it's like organising the chuckle brothers. So it's 8 months later now and we have given up on Dunraven. they finally fitted a door that can keep out the draft but catches on the frame as soon as the sun hits it and the damage they caused while sorting it out has gone unanswered despite promises from David at their build department. Obviously it's up to you who you trust to do work on your home but I wouldn't allow Dunraven near my home again if it was on fire and they had the last bucket of water on the planet. So fast forward to the 16th October 2024 and guess what we still don't have working doors. There have been visits, phone calls and emails and yet they still cannot fix these dodgy doors. when they do answer their phone they give you a "oh we'll call you right back" lie and then you'll have to chase them to even set up a visit (not that they will turn up and even if they do there is always a reason why they can't do anything). To top it all they will not send the building regs information off to sign off the work they have done so we cannot sell our house. 29/11/2024 Dunraven are now not returning calls and despite threats of legal action will not provide the paperwork to their building control agents. So I cannot sell my house as planned because TWO YEARS after the build was completed they will not submit the building regs paperwork. DO NOT USE.
Booking for the quote was easy and the sales team kept to the time we agreed. The reason for my low score is mostly down to the tactics used. Yes, you sign a waiver to agree that high pressure tactics were used and that the salesperson was polite, all this is mostly true but the quote we were talking about was only valid for there and then, or so we were told. That put us under pressure to sign and pay a deposit there and then. In hindsight we should have said no. The quote was very high to begin with and the salesperson was able to bring it down by a couple of thousand pounds in seconds. Start lower then? As a competitor has said to me since if you start off high you are taking your customers as mugs as they might pay over and above. Even after cancelling I had two calls from Dunraven trying to regain my business. Even throwing in a window for free, that's even after I was told they'd lose money on that window at the price we'd first agreed. The refund was processed within the 10 days promised, only just. I had to chase it once. Sales tactics are disguised very well... UPDATE; No I will not get in touch to provide further feedback. The sales rep that came to us claimed to be a Director. They shouldn't need training...
The guys came did the job properly and cleared up after them before they left. Job done -sorted.
very professional service from salesman right through to office staff and fitters would highly recommend
From beginning to end the process with Dunraven was a pleasure . From discussing our original vision right through to completion of our stunning conservatory/ orangery we were very pleased . Booked in April and a date given in October as a start it was worth the wait. The brickie Steve Lambert was there every morning bang on the dot and worked in atrocious weather conditions, but with no compromise on the quality of the build. The various teams that followed astounded us with the speed and accuracy of their workmanship. We have an absolutely stunning addition to our home which is much admired by our neighbours . We even had a complete stranger who happened to drive past the house knock on the door and ask about the conservatory, he will be asking Dunraven for a quote. We have a few minor snagging issues ( doesn’t every project) but these are in the process of being resolved . We can only speak from personal experience which has been totally positive. Highly recommend Dunraven .
We had a few quotes for a Conservatory which, due to building regulations turned into an extension. Dunraven salesman, Dean, was so easy to deal with and we loved the way he described every detail of the process. Once work started the building team went out of their way to get things just right with the minimum amount of disruption to us, it was a big job having to go down to the level of the house footings. Superb work done on the footings, and base, brickwork etc. Then there were the erection team, electrician, plumber, plasterer, floor tiler, it was all perfectly project managed. I take my hat off to Dunraven for an excellent job, we love it. Problems, a largish project and I was surprised we only had a small leak in the roof which was resolved with a remedial man coming out to investigate and fix. Would I use Dunraven again, most certainly, very impressed.
We have been pleased with our Dunraven doors but, after 15 years service, the locking mechanisms on two of them need replacing. I contacted the company and they tell me that they do not have the manpower to provide after-warranty service. I find this very disappointing.
Had Dunraven replace all our windows and doors and replace old tilt and slide patio doors with new french doors ,absolutely fantastic, Paul and Gareth were great, and nothing was too much trouble ,would highly recommend
Absolutely first class ! Any slight snagging was dealt with quickly and efficiently, in fact we have just asked for more work to be done next year!, thank you 👍
Terrible experience from start to finish, which included objects in my house being broken, parts missing off the windows and intimidating tactics used to try and get us to sign for payment when the job wasn’t finished! Tried to make a complaint and they only resolved one part of it and gaff ignored correspondence since. Stay away from Dunraven Windows!
I had Dunraven put in a new conservatory. The workmen turned up everyday and everyone was focused on completing their part of the job so the next team could move in and start. They kept the disruption to a minimum and made sure everything was as clean as possibly could be. The only bit of constructive criticism I have is if the attention to detail was better I would have given a 5 star review instead. There were a few things I needed to have sorted as they were completing the work which I had to speak to the project manager about, which in all fairness they rectified whilst the job was being completed and I am extremely happy with my new conservatory. I'd highly recommend Dunraven in the future to anyone considering to have work completed by them.
Fully happy with the front door fitted. Gareth the fitter was brilliant. Came on Saturday to fit job. Very helpful.
