Do not trust this company, they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up and then not follow through on their promises. Their salesman knocked on my front door and was happy to send someone to provide a quote so I could decide if/how I could afford bi-fold doors. I was up front from the start about how, if this did happen, it wouldn't happen at all for at least a year or two and they were happy to proceed on that basis. The estimator came and was all sweetness and light until I'd signed on the dotted line and then couldn't get out of the house fast enough. In hindsight that should have been the point at which I cancelled. However, I didn't, and signed a contract with Dunraven and one with Novuna to finance the doors. Fast forward a couple of months and my circumstances have changed such that I don't wan't something like this arranged so far in advance. The estimator had assured me that cancellation, even outside of the 14 day cooling off period, would not be a problem and I would be refunded my deposit and the contract cancelled. I'm so glad I took out the finance as this meant I haven't paid a deposit so have lost no money. On the other hand, Dunraven will not cancel, despite the estimator's promises, and are insisting on holding me to the contract. Novuna will not take my instructions and insist they can only take instructions from Dunraven (separate review). I thought I was doing them a favour by letting them know I wanted to cancel, so they would not send the surveyor to measure etc and not waste his time or any more of their time etc etc. So now I shall write this review, never instruct them to come and fit my bi-fold doors, and ignore all their attempts at communication.
In breach of data protection laws (I get a call every few months asking for me by name many years after declining their services). Lots of fake trustpilot reviews and salesman was of the high pressure variety. I have asked to be deleted from their systems dozens of times. Scum.
Replacement roof fitted on my conservatory had some issues with water coming in Contacted Dunraven the sent two engineers to assess the problem but they have failed to update us on there findings Have contacted them by phone which they promised call back and email to give us a update still no replies
One appointment cancelled by Dunraven due to staff family emergency. Salesman came next day. Quickly measured & off he went without explaining anything especially the fact that he wouldn't be able to discuss anything without my partner being there. As I explained when I booked. I am the home owner & I will be paying. Your loss Dunraven. Reading the reviews of some of the quality of workmanship. Lucky Escape. No wonder they have sales guys canvassing in shop doorways.
Lucky escape for me … had the you’ll need your wife to be present because we’ve read the 1984 flattery hand book … Needless to say if you’ve done your homework and checked out the market you stand a good chance of the reps never contacting you again … which happened in our case .. on the plus side it was like being back in the 80’s all over again…. I even got the classic “I’ll need to confirm with my manager because the percentage reduction I’m offering is so much “ Classic !!!
Had new windows fitted in October 2 days install I was told took 7 resulting in me having to take time off work which I didn't get pay for . Problems with the windows already and now they are telling me I need to take more time off to get them put right as I live on my own and have nobody to let them in. Would not recommend this company to anyone
Don’t use this company. Surveyor forgot to write the measurements down and had to rebook another appointment. First fitter brought his unemployed brother to help fit the door. (Not vetted by Dunraven)They tried to leave with day light showing through the door and frame. This fitter blamed it on the manufacturering process. A second fitter came to try and fit the door and frame. He stated he spent most of his time visiting houses of the first fitter trying to fix the poor workmanship of the first fitter. The second fitter said the first fitter was sacked by Dunraven. The damage both fitters caused to my house was unbelievable and the door still did not shut properly. Either the frame was not square or the door was not square. Ask Dunraven for the photos. I have sent them to them. They do not look like their sales brochure. Eventually Dunraven fitted another door new door. Telling me they had lost money on the job as if it was my fault. Never once did Dunraven express concern about leaving me with a poorly fitted door that would not lock properly. I lost 6 days of work due to the repeated visits by Dunraven. They never once offered compensation for there inadequacies not to mention the stress they caused. Here’s Dunraven’s reply Reply from Dunraven Windows 3 hours ago Thank you for your review. This is very concerning to hear, and we would like to escalate this for you. So we can ensure that the matter is dealt with effectively by management, could you please furnish your full name, address & postcode to info@dunravenwindows Regards Dunraven. My reply to this is ask Tony Mort I understand he is a director of your company. He’s was not concerned. Or ask Nigel Yaw(installation manager). I’m sure they cant forget the case. Both have numerous emails from me along with all the photographs of the damage they caused to my house and the inadequate door they fitted.
Doesn't even deserve 1 star, told them to stop ringing a week ago and since then ive had 12 blocked calls, basically harrasing me at this point. Shouldn't be allowed.
We had a door with surrounding windows fitted at the start of May and it has just been a great experience. Anthony, the gentleman who came out and spoke with us and got the door sorted & organized for the fitting, has been fantastic. He talked us through what we were having and how it would benefit us. He came out today again to have a little chat with us in regards to having the windows replaced, which we will in the next few years and we will stick with Anthony & Dunraven due to how great this experience has been.
We have had our conservatory renovated, a new orangery done and currently they are helping us built a cycle stand. Over the years we have used there services, they have been brilliant from offering options to discounts and the great quality of work. They incorporate our requests as well during the process if they can. Their highlight is the aftercare. We highly recommend their services to everyone. Dr. Khatib, Cardiff-Wales
We have been renovating our home over the last year and so far we have had a beautiful porch, stunning bifolds and a house full of windows and each time the fitters and workman have been fantastic. The quality of the products are so fab and really well-insulated. Today, we have just had our side door and window fitted in our newly renovated kitchen. Ron and Dylan arrived and were super polite and informative the whole time. They even gave my dog lots of head scratches. The friendliest fitters and they have done an outstanding job. They were extremely neat and tidy and we are so pleased with our door and window. Thank you so much for helping us create our perfect home Dunraven :)
We were pleased with our new garden room and would recommend Dunraven to other customers. Their workers were diligent, thorough and took care not to damage our own or our neighbour's property while carrying out the work.
I have had most of my windows fitted by Dunraven as well as a splendour roof (insulated with some glass panel) on my conservatory and a new porch (just completed May 22). There work is always to the highest standards and after care is also great. I have found prices to be good as well. I would agree that they do ring for new sales but they seem to be addressing this recently.
Despite numerous phone calls where I have asked them to stop contacting me, they continue to call me to try and sell me a conservatory.
Wish there was a 0 star option. This company has called me continuously everyday despite me telling them via email, phone, text to the rep , that i am not interested and do not want anything. They have called me everyday for a month. Would never use them even if i wanted something now as its harassment.
Highly satisfied with the service from start to finish. The sales pitch was so informative and very helpful, the quality of the products first class and the fitters were so professional, friendly and very tidy. Thank you all.
Just had a Orangery fitted amazing job from start to finish the fitters done a fantastic job can’t fault them they arrived on time everyday and were so clean tidy and friendly The finish and product is amazing would definitely recommend Dunraven and use them again without a doubt thank you Dunraven first class job
Don't waste your money. Firstly it took them a year before they actually came out and fitted our large window and when they did come it was a sub-contractor clearly takes zero pride in his work. They have no inspector who comes out to approve the work afterwards. You are forced to pay once the window is installed even if you are not happy with the work and once you've paid then that's it! Our window was installed with damaged handles and no keys. My husband had to call them to chase what was happening because they won't call you. The "work" was completed on the 17 April yet we are still waiting on keys and have been told that the new handles will only be done on the 10 May. Its just excuse after excuse which is commonly that the person is sick. I've called to ask if an inspector should be coming but keep getting told someone will call me back which of course has not happened. Our window was left dirty with smudges all over it as well as little pieces of dry cement which we also found along the sides of the wall and our floors because they don't put anything down on your floors to protect them. They don't sweep or hoover any of the mess and they also don't care for your belongings or property as they uncovered a section of our 4k custom leather couch to put things on. The lining for the windows is shody and clearly done in a rush. The metal bar is clearly visible, their "final" cement work is uneven and done lazily. All the finishings are shocking as you will see by the pictures. Don't waste your time and money with a company that doesn't care about their clients. We even told the sales guy, Jeff Howell, that we want all of our windows replaced so you'd think that was incentive enough for them to do a good job but clearly not. The installer also did not provide a satisfaction note for us to fill out nor have we received a certificate from FENSA.
Had a couple of windows fitted and a Front and Back Door the Salesperson was Brilliant and helpful followed by the office staff who went above and beyond . The fitters were absolutely amazing . Clean and Tidy and done an excellent Job . I have already recommended Dunraven Windows to my Neighbours .
Wouldn’t book me an appointment without my husband present due to ‘new rules’ post covid- even though we BOTH made it clear it would be my decision to make and he neither needed or wanted to be present. Well done you missed an opportunity for sales as you wanted my husband present to sit passively on the sofa… Can’t help but feel it’s a tad sexist… would it have been an issue the other way round?
