Awesome customer service.

I ordered Doheny's Inground Pool Pump, 115/230V, 1 HP (0.9 THP). I had to modify the pipework on the suction side of the pump as it was about 1/2 inch higher. No big deal to do. I connected the two leads on power in, connected the ground wire, then connected the grounding wire from the grounding rod to the lug on the motor case. When I turned on the power and pushed the pump button on the control panel I only got a hum and the GFCI tripped. I cut off power, double checked the wiring and turned on the power from the main breaker at the house. When I called for the pump again, same issue. I called customer service and explained the above. The lady immediately said she would send out a new unit as I told her I was not attempting a start again. The new one arrived the next day just like the original order. Got it all hooked up and this one started with no issue. It is like I told the lady that day. This is made by man. It can and will mess up. May have been a bad capacitor causing the issue. My issue was solved with one call to Doheny's. I am sorry I do not remember the Customer Service person I spoke with. She was very helpful and is to be commended for her help. The pump and motor is running just fine and the cost was half of replacing with the original brand.

Fast service and good prices, but very poor customer service. The agents are not knowledgeable in the products they sell. I gave up trying to get advice on the phone and just took my chances purchasing online. When the sand filter arrived, there were parts included that were not described in the instructions or illustrations. I called twice for help with assembly, but both reps were clueless and told me I would have to consult a local installer. I believe Doheney's outsources all customer service to India.

everything that was ordered fitment was spot on and wait time for delivery was timely prices are very reasonable. could not have asked for anything better.

I buy a lot of products online and this is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I ordered Bromine and they shipped chlorine and refused to exchange it for me. So I had to pay to ship a 50 lb container back to them . Their customer service was pitiful and at one point told my husband they didn’t sell bromine so they couldn’t have mailed me that and then came back and said oh maybe we do sell it. When i emailed them they responded with a generic response that didn’t really answer anything. Save yourself some aggravation and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a Doheny wide mouth skimmer sku# 7860, unaware that they (or no one else) sells a compatible winter plug. Their so called pool experts can provide no more information about their products than what is available on the website. So now I have to drain my pool water level to find another skimmer plate with cover or change the whole thing, which would be a major hassle. Find another company with actual knowledgeable sales people.

I purchased a Swimline liner for my above ground pool that leaks at the seam which should be covered by the warranty but the process to execute it ensures that it will be difficult to impossible to claim. To claim you must submit a piece of the failed liner. Meaning the pool must remain empty for an extended period of time putting the entire structure of the pool as risk because the water is an integral part of the structural integrity of the pool. For their part Doheny's was unwilling to allow me to purchase another new liner and return the unused/unopened liner if my warranty claim was successful. All the risk is mine but no help from Doheny's.

Recently had a pool heater heat exchanger go down. I call to verify the part is in stock lady told me it was and asked if I wanted to order it. I told her no I was still looking at other places. I ask about their price match policy via chat function and provide the item number they tell me they ONLY price match after the purchase has been made. I actually asked twice about this because I found that strange. But ok they have been good in the past so I ordered it waited for the order to process and called for the price match. I’m then told that they don’t price match drop ship items after I had called and provided them with the item number and was told it was “in stock”. But I’m told they will have their supervisor review it and reach back out to me. She calls said she reviewed the call but not the chat and will review it and get back to me. I never received a call back so I called again today asked to talk to the lady that called me I’m transferred to someone else who I have to leave a message for. Quickly received a call back stating that we’re sorry you were given the wrong information but basically you’re out of luck we’re not doing anything to correct the situation. Very poor customer service and terrible policies with little information on the website about their policies.

Bought the Superflow XE pump after installing it 2 days later the pump leaks and constantly tripping the switch in the panel, speaking to them is like trying to pull you own teeth, They refused to switch you to a supervisor and will hang up on you, i would NEVER ever buy from them and would advise potential customers to stay away !! they honestly don't care about their customer and their customer service is very bad

Quickly mailed and products have been working great.

The last Solar cover I ordered only lasted just over a season (even though it says it has a 7 year warranty) so I ordered the even “better” one this time in the SAME size. When it came it is about 18in short! It is not long enough to cover my pool. I had to cut scraps to fit my pool. I was very disappointed about spending more money and getting less cover!

Horrible company. Twice I've written reviews, twice they comment to get ahold of them regarding it. But YOU CANT. on hold endlessly and then noone speaks English or knows anything. I see this has happened to other people in their reviews. I will NEVER order from this company again. I will tell everyone to never order from then

Tried to order a solar heating system last year late in the season and they were out of stock so I ordered them early this year (5/20/23). Qty 1 - Sku#6947 Collector Kit 5ft x 20ft Qty 1 - Sku#6862 Above Ground Roof/Rack Mounting kit Qty 1 - Sku#6767 2-Way Diverter Valve I had to build a rack so it took me until 6/26 to get everything built/plumed up and hooked up. Turned it on and the valve leaks. Called up on 6/26 to explain and these a$$holes had the balls to tell me that the valve has a 30 day warranty and I would need to buy a new one. They can't do anything for me. I'm done with Doheny and will never buy anything from them again. In my opinion, customer service sucks.

We bought the Olympic Zeron pool paint to redo the finish on our pool. The order shipped fast!! Let me tell you, this product works great, as long as you follow the instructions. Take your time and do the preparations, then get to painting. The label says it is only "one-coat" and it does roll on thick. We gave an extra coat on the bottom after waiting 24 hours, but the one coat on the sides was more than enough. The paint dries smooth and glossy, and is rock hard. The pool looks brand new!! The product comes with an 8 year warranty, so hopefully it stands up better than other products used before. We ordered 6 gallons originally, but only needed 4. Doheny's allows returns of unused product for up to 30 days, and promptly refunded us for the unused portion, once they received it. We are very happy, and recommend Doheny's. Prices are very fair, and their customer service to us was great!!

DONT BUY Doheny's On/Off Pool Pump, 1.5 HP it is a crappy product. Opened pool and pump continuously overheats. Customer Service stinks, product is 2 wks after the yr warranty. What happened to customer satisfaction.

In response to your response!!!!!!!I tried that and they knew less than the people answering the phone orders. Your company lies to me everytime I call. Your company does not stand behind your lowest cost promise!!!!!!! Everytime I order something from this company I have a problem. I call the company to speak to a knowledgeable person. They do not have anyone that can answer a question until they put me on hold to ask a supervisor. They know nothing about the products or the company. Starting from the promo code to the low cost promise. I know more than any order personal at that company. Don't believe the LOWEST PRICE PROMISE. Yesterday after TWO hrs on the phone, I decided to hang up and purchase Alkalinity up for half the price at another pool supply company near my home. Daniel Jones is the worse Customer Service rep. He needs, as all other employees need to get educated with your companies polices and products. A terrible company to work with, don't waste your time!

I purchased the Supreme Blue 2400 Series solar cover for my 18’ round above ground pool in 2022. It’s supposed to be good (under warranty) for seven years. It has completely fallen apart! I will see if I can get any satisfaction from the warranty but I don’t hold out too much hope. I don’t know if I saved any records/receipts from the purchase. If I do get satisfaction I will certainly write another review. Doheny’s came recommended by a professional pool and spa installer and servicer. I’m very disappointed.

This would be my first time ordering from this company and I can say I’m 100% satisfied with everything! Yes, I will come back and order more. Thank you so much.

Pool Solar Blanket I ordered the solar blanket on May 31, 2023, and it arrived on June 11. I'm very happy with the solar blanket and the experience of shopping and ordering from Doheny's. Carolyn Cox
