We purchased a solar pool cover from Doheny's and experienced an issue covered by the warranty. Doheny's absolutely honored the warranty and made the replacement process smooth and easy! A "shout out" to Danielle in the Customer Service Department (Amazon division), who was very responsive, competent, and friendly--so rare to find such excellent customer service these days! Great job Doheny's and Danielle!!!
I ordered a Doheny pool pump and had to be sure that it would be able to be attached to my Hayward filter and the assistant took the time to check all the specifications for both and it was a fit! It was delivered the next day....! Very happy with the service that was provided. Inge PREZIOSI
Tried to cancel my order. Their website says that I cannot do that by email I must call so I did. CSR was foreign and I could not understand anything that she was saying then she finally does tell me I think that I can’t cancel my order and she will put in a request or something and that it is gonna costs me $18 to do that but probably still won’t cancel the order…WTH? Doheny’s please get CSR’s that speak fluent English. I will pay extra not to order from this company again. Pitiful!
Very disappointed with my first (and last) experience placing an order through Dohoney's! I was looking to order a pool pump for immediate delivery, and since all the Hayward pumps I wanted on this site showed up as "out of stock" and the reviews for Dohoney's house brand were less than glowing, I purchased the only size-appropriate Harris pump the site showed was available as of the date I needed it-- only to get an email AFTER my order was placed that Dohoney's cannot get that pump in for more than ten days at the soonest?! (Yet even today, Doheny's website STILL shows that pump as being in stock?) When I called to cancel my order (since you can purchase online but not cancel online, for some reason?) the rep's response made it seem that Doheny's is likely dropshipping and doesn't even keep adequate stock supplies to fill all its orders. I would never have wasted the time to order from Doheny's, had I known they were advertising inventory they don't even have!?! Doheny's is a mistake I WON'T make again.
I purchased a in ground pool liner in May 2023 and had it installed in early June 2023. It had a leak in it from day one. It took me about three weeks to find the leak. It had a hole in it. I call Dohenny customer service and they said I would have to call Swimline the company that made it. I purchased it from Dohenny and they should be the one to call Swimline. They would not handle it.
They sent the wrong item and when I tried to return it they said it was under $39 so no return or refund. So they can send the wrong item and say tough luck buddy. I will not buy from here again.
Do not order from this Company. I spent two hours trying to get information about a pool pump and the connectors. The rep told me that don't have connectors . When I found the assembly I was requesting, she told me she couldn't give me the measurements or dimensions because they are unknown. So when I received the order confirmation they refused to remove it from my order stating it was already. Funny thing is that it is drop shipping from a different vendor. The instructions are on the confirmation that tell you to call with changes or cancellations and then they refuse to do it.
Would give zero if I could. Do not buy pool equipment from this company. I bought a hayward superpump for $1100. Three days later they are selling for $200 less and would not give me the discount. It's installed 1 1/2 months later (7/19/2023). The pump doesn't work and stalls out continuously. I open the cover and the power button crumbled. Clearly sent me a defective pump. Oh and 30 day guarantee. now dealing with Hayward.
very rarely do i ever post anything on a company.. but the customer service i recently received on a defective product has been absolutely horrendous. it took 4 weeks for their warranty department to get to this decision that the defective product was under warranty. * they are prorating it back to the date that this was purchased (july), but we didn't receive until August. * we only have the pool open june/july/august/part of september as we live in michigan. so we only utilized it for 1 month in 2021 (since we received the cover in august). 4 months in 2022 and have been trying to get this repaced since june of this year. in total we have utilized this cover for less than 6 months. * The total purchase cost for this was $194, and in order to replace this you are asking for $179. Beware of this company.
Poor service- we ordered a pump and filter system and not only did not get it within a business day, but they sent the wrong product several days later. I called to let them know to get the correct system, emphasizing that we needed it ASAP because of an upcoming graduation party for our daughter, but they did not care and we did not get the pump in time for the party. We ended up missing an entire month and a half of usage of our pool. They only offered a minuscule 10% discount for a future purchase! When I called back and indicated that I was not satisfied with such a paltry offer, I noticed a full refund in my credit account, but then it disappeared the next day. When I called back, they had no record of the refund and would not do anything about the significant inconvenience.

Bait and switch! Beware. Do not order! Guarantees shipping next day and they don’t! Saying item is back ordered now. But sent sand that goes with that filter that I don’t want because it’s on back order! Now they want to charge to send the sand back when all should have been sent together in the first place. It was recommended sand for that filter that I’m no longer receiving. I was never sent tracking number for sand cause they didn’t send the sand in 10 hours! Making crap up to keep some of my money. Not good business.! Customer service rude and hardly speak English! Daniel jones is a supervisor and condescending! Wants to talk in circles like I’m a two year old! So not impressed with this company! They better refund me or to the bank I’ll go! Stay away! I filled promises . Should of read the reviews first!
Advertising Next Day shipping with no disclaimer. Misleading. Couldn’t use a $10 off coupon. Couldn’t cancel the order. Classic bait and switch stuff from Doheny’s. I prefer businesses that are straight up. Re: Doheny Response. Your reply contains the information that makes up a “disclaimer”. Legally, it needs to be listed on your website, and (this is the key), it needs to be LINKED, to the claim at the header of the website. The disclaimer is not clear and conspicuous. I.e. misleading. Your disclaimer is hidden. 2nd update: Also, the word delivery means that the transfer has been completed. It is not “delivered” until I receive it. What you mean to say is “Items ship within 24 hours” It’s a false statement with no disclaimer tied to it. It should be removed or edited for clarity.
After three months of attempting to settle a dispute they refuse to be rational. I ordered DE for my pool filter and a winter closing kit. These arrived promptly. In addition I ordered test strips and a pool skimmer. They sent an item that was not ordered that was suppose be the skimmer. They attempt to charge me for test strips they claimed were delivered but the photo from FedEx proved them wrong. Now we’re are into three weeks after the order. Numerous online chats. No one would help. The sent a skimmer that arrived damaged. Test strips were out of stock, so they say, and we agreed on a substitute test strip that arrived one week later. We are now into 6 weeks. I submitted a request for refund of skimmer. I was instructed to return it at my cost. Ok, but the cost of returning it would have been more than the cost. Just beware of customer service. They might be fine with some returns. For me it has been a nightmare. I will take the financial loss and consider it a lesson. There are other vendors to choose from. Thank you for your response. Not sure how contacting you again will result in a different outcome. PayPal tried to mediate a resolution. However, your canned response will make you look as if you are caring..
Do NOT purchase pool pumps and/or motors from this company. They WILL NOT stand behind there products or warranties. I purchased a combo pool pump and motor and prior to 1 year, the electric motor failed close to the 1 year warranty time period (within 3 weeks of warranty expiration) They did not record the dates that I called, then told me I had to get a case number from Hayward for a replacement. Once I was able to get through that process at Hayward, which took several weeks, I called Doheny's back and they then told me I was past the warranty date and they wouldn't stand behind their products, nothing we can do. This was a very expensive product, don't risk getting burnt by a bad company like Doheny's who could care-a-less about their customers, buy locally for better customer service and support. I wish I was able to rate this experience lower than 1 star!!
WOW, WOW!!! I placed my order for a pool heater on a Tuesday and it was delivered on a tractor trailer on Friday of the same week. The website stated it would take a week to be delivered, they outperformed. My customer is very happy. R&L carriers delivered on stated and the driver was extremely friendly and helpful.
Pump broke after 2 months. Would not send me new pump til they receive old pump. So I have to pay pool guy to remove pump. Pool guy to come back put pump on. It's been 95 plus degrees out with this process my pool will turn green. Customer service did not care. A supervisor did not care. Very poor company. I had to go buy a pump from pool store and have pool guy remove pump and put new pump on. Dohenys to me after that no refund that I need to return the pump and they will send me new one. So now I will have an extra pump. Would not work with me. Just a fair warning don't do business with this poor run company.
I have first started with the button of above ground pools. And the same original web page. in ground and above ground items came up. Why didn't these products stay separated! And looking at different pumps I tried to keep them separated! And I failed. And I ordered the wrong pump. And restocking fees were $50.00. And they sent me a plastic tarp instead of a sand filter. And I still didn't get that yet??. They should have green lights and red lights. Too have a good matching together parts and items list. Every company should have this system... no thanks to Doheny's. I don't want to shop there again!!
Wrong part did not fit have tried to return but have no success please send me the information so I can return the part and get my refund
