After spending $2500 on supplies to paint my pool, Doheny’s lost/misplaced the critical Prep Solution on two separate occasions. After waiting over two weeks for two failed orders, Doheny’s advised me that my order was back ordered and could not advise on a new delivery date. I contacted a different vendor who delivered my order in two days. Doheny’s customer service was very unhelpful and showed no interest in resolving their challenges. On three different occasions I asked to be connected (or receive a return call) from a supervisor capable of empathetic understanding and problem solving. My request went ignored and unanswered.

Don't do business with these jerks!!!!! In 2022 I spent over $2,000.00 dollars with them ordering a new pool liner and accessories. Pool liner arrived damaged!!!! Waited for another liner but never received accessories. Had to file credit dispute to get it resolved. On Monday June 3, 2024 I placed another order with them. Eight hours later I get an email telling me my order had been canceled because of my previous credit dispute!!! Don't do business with these rude crooks. Customer service does not exist with these folks only care about making a dollar!!!

Not even a full year of use - just had to BUY another lid - The out of country call center is abominable. That decision will cost you far more than the cheap labor- and speaking of cheap - the filters are a disgrace to the Doheny’s name / they have become synonymous with cheap/ poorly engineered/ and direlect

Received a catalog offering 10% off on purchase. Web site will not recognize or honor promo code. Emailed Doheny's twice. No response. Will not order even though they have low prices. 6-11-24 Doheny's pool responded and was helpful in responded. Will give them another chance.

Ordered a new unground pool pump from Doheny's and was pleased with price, timeframe etc. but pump died after two months. I contacted service on a Saturday evening and received a reply next day with a FedEx return label and instructions. Once I dropped off pump at FedEx, they shipped a replacement. Less than a week to get a pump replaced and working perfectly. Bravo!

I spent over a grand online at this store. They first provided me with a $10 off coupon code that wouldn't work. The after I made my purchase, I couldn't log into my account to review my order. After contacting customer service about not being able to access my account, I was told to contact customer service. What? That's who I just contacted. Then they provided me with tracking numbers that FEDEX could not find. I have no idea if or when I will be getting my purchases. I do not recommend this company, and I personally will never buy from them again.

I’ll give Doheny 1 star for answering the phone. Other than that speaking with customer service and a supervisor only to find out that the company does not stand behind the products they sell. Warranty or no warranty. After all isn't that the American way ??  They sold us a winter pool cover that was made of poor quality material and it ripped within 2 seasons of mild weather. Came with a 12 year warranty. Doheny blamed the manufacturer and when I asked for a phone number for the manufacturer, they said it was manufactured overseas and they did not have a phone number.  The DEI warranty company also gave us every excuse not to except poor quality material as the reason for the cover to fail. After going back and forth with phone calls and emails only for Doheny to offer me a 20% off courtesy discount to purchase another cover from them ??? Thanks but no thanks. We will not be doing business with Doheny again.

Ordered a Doheny harris 1.5 variable speed pool pump with 1.5 inch internal female threading. Called.after I saw the picture after check out. Told the Doheny customer service representative that it was not the unit I wanted, but the representative assured me it was. Call again to cancel and was told that it was at the warehouse being processed for shipping and could not be canceled. The unit arrived and upon opening it was the wrong unit. Call customer service again and basically was told I Ordered and I would have to pay to return it. I cannot use the unit without re-piping my entire pool filter system. I will pay to have it returned I will wait for my money to be refunded if ever I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM DOHENY EVER AGAIN. 2 stars only because it came quickly Anthony

I had to get a little help from Matthew to measure pool for liner which i had never done before. We emailed back and forth with photos of the pool and he directed me how to measure. I just got around to putting the liner in and it fits perfect. Thank you for all the help during the ordering process. Jerry Millis - More than satisfied customer

Returned a pool heater to them and it got damaged in shipping but they signed for the package so I can't file a claim with the shipping company and dohenys won't refund for a damaged product so I'm out 1800 dollars because of them.

First order $20.00 off is misleading potential future customers. Website states that signing up with them will provide you with a $20.00 reduction on first order. Could not get the $20.00 to apply after several attempts! Website does not inform of "any special circumstances" that would remove or deny the $20.00 off first order signup, just simply sign up with info and get $20.00 off.............be careful, electronic codes will come up and circulate suggesting something is going to attach and happen...........it will not, you will not receive the $20.00 discount on your first order. I'm fairly certain there will be some again misleading response stating that this first order saving does not apply to free shipping orders or already discounted or on sale already items orders etc. etc. etc.. AGAIN , they are knowingly misleading potential new customers. Shame

TERRIBLE customer service and awful product quality. They were 4 months late delivering pool tablets that I ordered in the summer. Then when they arrived, the entire 50 pound bucket of tablets was busted. most of the tablets were totally disintegrated into poweder that spilled out of the busted bags as soon as you removed them from the bucket. And then they refused to issue me a refund even though I sent pictures of the broken tablets!!! Unbelievable. Be warned. Buy elsewhere!!

Fool me once … I ordered 25# of 3” chlorine pucks. The price was ok and they arrived quickly. The problem is the product. 25# of pucks individually wrapped in plastic. I’d say 30% of the plastic was torn on the pucks and over 90% of the pucks were broken or crushed to almost powder. Unacceptable. Should be embarrassed to ship this product.

Purchased a Doheny brand in-ground pool pump (with motor), it arrived and was installed at considerable cost, by a pool technician. Power was turned on and it sparked and made clicking noises. Shut off immediately and contacted Doheny. Was told to send it back and it'd be replaced because they don't have anyone to evaluate problems, or offer advice regarding repairs. No repair or tech department... they just buy from a China manufacturer who labels merchandise with the Doheny brand... then they sell via their Doheny catalog and website. To "send it back" involves loading a 60 lb. box as big as an oil drum into your vehicle, taking it to FedEx and pleading with them to seal the box because you don't have anything strong enough to close a huge box like that! They strapped it with plastic. Ok... off it goes... back to Wisconsin! Doheny finally shipped out another pump after waiting almost 4 weeks because the model was on backorder. We had to pay again to have the replacement installed. It worked well... for 4.5 months! This whole experience has been a nightmare, and we would NEVER suggest to anyone to buy anything from Doheny Pool Supply Company. NOTE: "Date of experience" below was originally 12/06/23 when we wrote about the first, useless pump. It is now 05/26/24 and we have a 2nd, useless pump.

Worst company to buy from they return stuff after minths fighting with them they got stuff back and now refuse to issue me my check. Or. Return the stuff that was return. Very poor company DONT BUY FROM HERE. THEY ARE WORST COMPANY AND LIE THEY OWE ME OVER 400.00 REFUSE TO SEND ME MY REFUND. BUT GOT THERE STUFF BACK.
