I am 100% satisfied with Acuity for my insurance needs. Premium charges seem fair compared to other companies I am familiar with. On the claims I have had, the company has been extremely prompt and courteous, and our local Agent offers superior service. I would recommend Acutiy without reservations for full service insurance needs.

Went through there website to get a quote and it was out of this world. Basically they set the quote based on an automated system, a guess... they do not allow you to customize the value which is crazy. Whey would you pay $278 per month for a system that arbitrairilly priced your house of 277K when the actual house value is 120k? Crazy. No positive reveiw supports there valuations, that you can not control. Next...

I was very happy with the outstanding customer service provided by the Claim Representative assigned to handle my claim. She was very pleasant to work with as well as being proficient. I was treated with respect and she displayed compassion and understanding throughout the process. I included the following comment in an email I sent to her on January 12, 2021. Thank you very much for the guidance and support you provided me throughout the claim process. Your knowledge and experience was quite evident and it was truly a pleasure working with you. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Shortly after receiving my policy and looking over the many brochures touting various protections, I noted one about identity theft. It gave a 800 phone # for immediate reporting. I had an incident that may or may not have involved such coverage. So I called thinking someone responding at least acknowledging the report and advising if no coverage. No one ever responded to the voice message I left on that number. So I followed with a notice only report to my agent so that at least there would be a record. I paid my full first year coverage in full with my credit card. A month or so before renewal I received a letter advising on renewal date full payment would be taken automatically from my card. I thought this was kind of presumptive. But thinking I would probably do it myself anyway I just let it go. I forgot I had sometime ago cancelled my card for security reasons and got a new card number. So, I almost was cancelled and charged a penalty save for the saving graces of my agent. The credit card Company of course rejected payment on the old number. If the insurance co would have called me and advised it could have been straightened out easily without the drastic penalty nonsense. Next year I will pay in full again but I will do it provided there are no problems with service.

Dog Discrimination - We tried to apply for a home and auto insurance policy and was rejected because our dog is part Doberman. I think its disturbing that this is a growing trend among insurance companies. Anyone that owns or cares about dogs should not do business with companies who discriminate against a family member purely on the basis of genetics and not past history or temperament.

Acuity has always been there for us when ever we happened to have a problem. Plus they try to keep our insurance premium at a low rate which is a big help with senior budget.

I made a very simple request to the agent I was speaking with at Acuity Insurance. That being, to not start my policy until 9/2/21, and to not take any payment until 9/2/21. I said if payment was required before 9/2/21, to advise me first and not start the policy until we discussed this. This simple request was ignored and payment was taken right after they had my bank account information. When I questioned the agent, she ignored my email, and to date (3 days later as of today), and hasn't replied. To be clear: I didn’t give my banking information to Acuity to have free will with my money. A simple request of not taking payment until 9/2/21, and to ask me if they wanted payment before then, was ignored. Based on this, I question how any claims would be handled, should the need arise. Due to their defiance and contempt of following a simple customer request, I don’t see them being my insurance carrier for my business long-term.

We were recently involved in a traffic collision where our driver was not at fault and the driver who was at fault was not given a ticket from the officer who responded to the call. We gave the officer everything he needed for his report and briefly talked to one witness before getting our undrivable car towed to an auto repair center chosen by Acuity. When we left the scene of the accident it appeared that our car would be totaled out and that the driver of the other vehicle might not have to pay for the damage that they caused. After sending the pictures of both vehicles and talking with Acuity they decided to provide us with the funds to repair the vehicle if we chose to do so. I knew nothing about the body shop before this accident and wasn't happy with the selection but it was definitely the right choice and the body shop decided to repair the vehicle. We had the check to repair the vehicle and it was repaired even before Acuity received their money from the other insurance company. We were so pleased with Glen at Carlson's auto body we paid him to do additional work not related to the accident. What started out as one of the worst days in the life of our little mustang and our student driver ended up being a very pleasant experience. Thank you to Acuity and their claims associates for your hard work and providing excellent customer service.

Acuity is one of the best carriers our agency works with. We have contacts within the company for underwriting, loss control, and claims adjusting, who answer the phone and get back with us right away. This is rare in the current insurance marketplace. We highly recommend Acuity for both commercial and personal insurance.
