I have had a couple of problems with our lift but the problems have always been quickly and efficiently dealt with.

Had nothing but good experience with the company from initial quotation, through installation and to present day.

We have found the lift to be very reliable. We have a new house with 5 beds and 3 baths and needed a lift to make the house future proof.

All OK till the guarantee expired. Outrageous quote for maintenance contract and no local service available. Several call outs during the first two years whilst under guarantee where some STILTZ technicians and some contracted local technicians called to fix problems. No continuity or consistency with service.

We have had our lift for 2 years and were so impressed with how it was fitted from our hallway to our landing in what at first appeared to be an impossible space. And in such a short time.Another make said it couldn't be DONE!

I am very pleased with the lift. It is easy to use, although it is a tight fit for me and my wheelchair. Over the last two and a half years since it was installed it has been totally reliable. The members of Stilz's staff who installed the lift were very pleasant and friendly, causing very little disruption. They thoroughly cleaned up when the work was done, even though they had to dig a pit in the concrete floor to give level access for the wheelchair. The first maintenance check was carried out thoroughly and promptly.

It is now almost two years since installation and we have nothing but praise for the product. It has saved our having to relocate and avoid all the hassle and heartache of that. Highly impressed

After the first week following installation of the lift it became apparent that we didn't know how to manage the various controls. There was no leaflet explaining how to use the controls. For such an expensive installation you real should have an easy to use instruction booklet. You didn't warn us of the procedures to carry out in the event of a power failure. My wife who is disabled and weak was stuck in the lift for several hours during an unexpected power failure. A phone has now been installed but this doesn't work in a power cut. Please make the system fool and power cut proof.

A very good product but after service not up to the standard one would expect.

It took months/years of looking to future proof our home and make easier access from garage to upper level living area. Dismissing chair stair lifts, as in the way, slow, ugly, and, probably, the first thought, if you have to sell, of purchasers wanting it removed. The design, all self contained, with only a 13A socket needed for power, was so sensible. I read everything on it, visited the warehouse to see construction, asked many questions in person and phone, and visited installations of two helpful customers, without a hovering Stiltz salesperson. Needless to say l was convinced enough to buy a Trio, thinking wheelchair access makes it more useful. The large hole being cut was a major concern, but they'd worked it all out, and l don't know why l worried. I didn't have pipes or cables in the way though. I had to have a shaft built round the structure, in the garage, for obvious safety reasons. All official consent was done by Stiltz. All was done to a very good standard, and 3 years later l still look at it and think a job well done. The upper room is our conservatory with laminate floor. The hole was cut, and the cut out sections of laminate fixed on the 'stopper', to blend in when the lift is lowered to the garage. Our metalwork is white. Initially l was told you could have any colour to match your room's colours. That's not the case, and the yellow on their chart was nothing like our yellow, so didn't do it. We've had a couple of problems. The first was the lift stopped, in about 2" going down. No one was in it, but we found the door wouldn't come off in that position. A company can often let down it's customers by how they deal with a problem. We are future proofing, so don't actually need a lift for physical problems, but l felt, in the extreme scenario, if l was stuck, in a wheelchair in the lift, alone in the house, an engineer would be with me in afew hours. Just have a phone in the lift, and have a hidden house key outside. If my lift stops like before, the door can now be easily taken off, and wouldn't be much of a problem. I have a service plan, and second problem was found then, that the battery system is faulty. This is supposed to switch in if mains power is lost. It allows the lift to lower down, so you're not trapped inside. This still doesn't work, and l will mention it in the next service. However, what are the chances of being in the lift when mains power goes off. You'd have to be very unlucky. All the Stiltz staff l've met, and talked to over the phone, have been pleasant and/or helpful. No pushy salesperson. I believe it to be an asset to my home, and, depending where you put it, could increase your properties worth, and/or speed up selling to a wider range of people. I, obviously, have a vested interest in keeping the company going, for servicing, but l really hope people see the simplicity of the design to fit into places you wouldn't think you'd get a lift in. It's not Hotel standard, but it doesn't come with those costs either. I was deciding whether to give 4 or 5 stars, due to the problems, but decided, in the end, it was nearer to 5.

We had a Stiltz Lift installed recently for Mum. It has been a life-saver and peace of mind knowing that she can access upstairs without the worry of falling. The builders and installers were so neat and tidy. Excellent company. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Excellent service all through from the survey to the fitting of the lift. Just one moan the material on the floor of the lift appears to be Felt rather than carpet

Mr Fenn 04 January 2019, 15:49

Needs further development, keeping the buttons pressed to maintain the lift operating is tough a single press would be welcome. The light curtains come unstuck and partially fall out and the remote button control frequently loses contact with the lift hence the need for a single push of the buttons to make the lift move in the direction needed. I don't think Stiltz have taken on board my comments as no feedback from them. Apart from all the niggles its smart, quiet, bright and apart from all the stop starts reliable.

Amazing product, pleasing to the eye, works well, quiet operation, amazing built-in safety features. Install, commission all done in time as promised. Building Regs Inspector from local council was very pleased. No hesitation to recommend the Company or the product, one of our wise decisions made in life

Our Stiltz lift is a raving success. It's proved 100% reliable since it was installed 2 years ago, and it's smooth and quiet in use. Yes, "Stiltz" comes in handy for moving suitcases, chairs, laundry as well as us and house guests. Five stars and total recommendation Ella & Rod Pybus

The Stiltz lift has been invaluable. Earlier this year I had a total knee replacement and would have been unable to get upstairs. Since then my wife has suffered with acute kidney problems....stays in bed most mornings so the Stiltz has enabled me to take her breakfast up each day. Happy to show our lift to anyone interested in this area...Ernie Payne
