Clear helpful Salesman. Open to discussion on price. Preparation work and installation both very smooth. Office staff helpfull and responsive. The company and staff were a pleasure to deal with. The product works perfectly.
I politely pointed out to the company how their full-page advertizing spreads contain an own goal. Referring as they do to 'half a square meter,' of footprint for the product. Their target market, the elderly, are unlikely to relate to this, having been brought up in imperial measures. They didn't provide a crib (translation) Not only did I never receive a reply, they couldn't even bring themselves to acknowledge my concern. Which was only trying to be helpful. I'm grateful for their belated response below, but noting there was no hint of sympathy or understanding. Having lived through the period in question, I take leave to disagree with several assertions. I, and many millions of others, don't do metric. But I merely mention the company cannot know how many sales they've lost by a refusal to include imperial. Surely it's best not to annoy potential customers at the outset? Wouldn't it have been better to say 'thanks for pointing this out. We'll add a translatation in future adverts.'
Stiltz was 5* from beginning to end. The product is amazing and has totally changed our lives
Workers turned up on time. Site was left clean and tidy each day. It is now installed and works fine and looks much better than a stair lift. The site cleaning contractors left some of the leftover material behind and had to return to clear up which they did few days later. The total time from start to finish was a speedy 3 days less than estimated. The only thing that isnt quite right IMHO is the door latch: it works fine and releases and engages as you'd expect, but there is no 'door knob or 'pull' to open the door from the outside. There's a grey painted metal panel covering the mechanism which can be grasped by the edges if you have strong hands. OR you can hook your index flnger into the door frame and pull. Then it opens!
The men who came to make the aperture, reinforce the upstairs room and install the lift were all very professional. They worked hard, cleared up afterwards and advised on positioning. I would recommend them without hesitation. We are delighted with our lift.
Stiltz lift....been a game changer for my parents but now the 12 months guarantee is up they seem trapped into committing to what looks to be an extremely high price for ongoing protection. Welcome views / experiences on the options on this. There must be a point where peace of mind should not cost this much?
They keep spamming me not nice
Stiltz got this order because they could install within an urgent time frame of seven weeks whereas Stannah couldn't do their (cheaper) one for at least three months. The actual installation of the Trio was carried out on time in three days with efficiency, tidiness, and care enabling my wife to have her ankle operation to go ahead three days later. It has been in constant use for the past six weeks with the only operating concern being a developing rasping squeak descending - sorted out yesterday by Matt, the service engineer from Dudley as being caused by dust in the rollers. So far, so five star, so why only four? Firstly after the installation was complete we found that the TV aerial socket, working perfectly before the installation, was dead, undoubtedly severed in the re-routing of the wiring but not reconnected. To rectify this would require taking up the carpet, floorboards and possibly part of the lift itself so instead we can connect the TV via a Firestick; Secondly we ordered the optional seat with the lift but although the parts were supplied we accepted the installer's advice that it would reduce the lift width and make wheelchair access difficult or impossible so it wasn't fitted. We asked Matt to fit this yesterday but, when he looked at the parts it became obvious that this couldn't be fitted without partly dismantling the lift (so we'll put in a chair when needed); Thirdly Stiltz supply a saddle in which to sit your external control pad and the obvious place to put this is on the central column....but this can't be done as the screws supplied would foul the rollers mechanism. Apparently many owners attach it to the column using Velcro - hardly in keeping with the fine engineering of the lift!; Finally the use of cynical timeshare sales tactics to sell the very expensive extensions to the guarantee. Assuming the lift is as reliable as the sales team say it is, then why is this necessary? Also Stiltz have never put forward to us what needs servicing annually so what do they do for their £350?
First Class experience.Installation completed efficiently and without hitch. Installers were tidy and very little dust etc. produced. Product better than anticipated.
Driver was incredibly rude. Parked on private property and was informed that it’s not public parking. Was very rude and said he doesn’t care and walked off. Disgusted by the attitude of the representatives of this company.
We are absolutely bowled over by this company. Every step of the purchase and installation was superb. The lift is excellent and is so beneficial to our disabled daughter allowing access to the whole of her home ( and future proofing our home for my husband and I!!) - life changing! From beginning to end all Stiltz staff have been excellent. Special thanks to Richard, Jason, Toby, Justin, Sam, Stephen, Bill and Paul. Their manners and kindness are impeccable and we would highly recommend this company to everyone.
very friendly installers, very helpful and explained everything well.
installation neat professional minimum disturbance
Seamless from beginning to end. From Warren Videan’s excellent & most informative presentation at the outset as to what could be done/ what might be involved structurally speaking to the intensive investigations of two structural engineers, Steve and John, right up until the moment Stiltz’s installers Mike & John told us that our 2 Lifts were ready for use. I was most impressed by the professionalism of Warren, Mike, Steve & the 2 Johns plus the builders John & Ryan, electrician Rob, plumber Carl, electronic engineers Mike & Jake, by the care with which they treated my property, by their attention to details and constantly explaining to me what they would be doing/ what would be involved structurally speaking/ & liasing with me at all times. They are all a credit to the Stiltz Company achieving between them the installation of two lifts in the time frame given, lifts which will enable me to remain at my 4 story home. I was also impressed by the project manager, Nicola, who didn't hesitate to respond to the occasional phone calls which I made to her and the patience & clarity with which she responded to them. I will not hesitate to recommend The Stiltz Lifts Company to all I know. My thanks to you all!!
Great service. Excellent product which performs exactly as advertised. It was delivered and fitted expertly by very friendly and skilled fitters. It's easy to use and has many reassuring safety features. Excellent communications and they kept to timetables for installation. We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this company
I made an enquiry re an estimate. It’s too expensive I’ve now been rang at least 3 times a day for 5 days even on a Sunday Basically harassment. Absolutely shocking customer service do not give any details to them.
We had a home lift installed in September by Stiltz and we are still waiting for a response from them after one of the installation team burnt my son’s bed. Their company rep visited and seemed to be trying to assist us with this and other issues we had been left with. I appreciate accidents happen but the response from the company regarding the damage has been non existent. The company likes to show off its accreditations but seems disorganised and the complete lack of communication has spoiled our experience
Stiltz lift surveyors advised my builder on required work to accommodate a new lift. Second surveyor visited to check building works and advised roof needed to be raised (AFTER roof was built on advice of first surveyor). Second surveyor advised where electric supply should be placed. Roof changed at my expense. Third surveyor visited to check new roof. He advised power supply should be at a different height. More adjustments by my builder, at my expense. Lift fitted. Day one of use lift went up but did not come down. I have had 5 different engineers on multiple occasions. The last engineer I saw told me not to use the lift as I was likely to be stuck inside it. The lift has had a new base. It has been completely taken out and replaced by the last engineer. Today I used the lift. It went up. It went down. I could not get out as the door would not open ( again) A friend had to rescue me. This is really not acceptable, in fact it is disgraceful. My 94yo mother is waiting to move in,. I do not trust the lift. Totally unreliable. It has failed to move on 4 occasions and I have been stuck inside it twice. AVOID!!! The lift has been in place 2.5 months and is still NOT SAFE. But it does look good...
Stiltz were very clean and efficient in installing my Homelift. No mess. The lift works well and I would recommend it.
A historic issue came up with planning for a previously installed lift. Once the details got to the right person (there was an initial delay, but they dealt with it) it was dealt with very quickly, their ongoing support / backup was very impressive.
