In general the lift works fine BUT THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE. The light barrier that causes the lift to stop if anything projects outside the lift operates within and below the top of the safety doors. This means that if the occupant has a wide skirt etc the lift will stop causing anxiety for the usually elderly occupant. This can also be a problem when transporting objects such as suit cases with no-one in the lift if the case falls against the safety door. This is very difficult to overcome and requires a ladder to move the item in question.
The Stiltz lift was the best purchase we made after we moved to this house. Not only does it enable my wheelchair bound son gain access to a bedroom on the first floor, it also helps now we are getting older to transport heavy items from each floor level.
My lift has been a boon and a pleasure every day since we had it installed two or three years ago, It is quiet and moves us, maximum two people, and grocery shopping up to the kitchen floor without any effort on our part. A complete success.
Simply nothing to fault. Superb customer service from start to finish. Surveyors and installers delightful and attentive, making sensible suggestions and offering solutions to queries. The tidiest workmen ever known. And as for the lift; it provides my mother with daily delight, surveying her rooms as she rises through the floors! The lift is very useful for my condition. it works well. One small complaint ,,,the latch on the door is quite loud opening and closing. No problems with lift since being fitted.

In general,the lift is very satisfactory. i have one criticism;when the lift is ascending one of the guide-wheels, possibly mis-shaped, makes a thumping noise and causes the lift to shudder on each rotation hat such a simple fault cannot easilof the wheel. It seems a pity ty be corrected, perhaps by changinm which the wheels are made. Over to you.g the material fro
This is probably the best purchase we have ever made. Without this we would not have been able to exist in our home without a lot of help. After my wife and I had major surgery, not at the same time thank god, we were too poorly to be able to tackle the stairs to get to the bedroom and or the bathroom, only the lift made that possible. It has futureproofed our home. A stairlift would not have been a good alternative because of the position and design of the stairs, also a stairlift would take over minute to do the journey compared with the 12.5 seconds taken by the lift. All in all, a good purchase.
Our timing retrospectively was perfect two years ago. We did not need it immediately but it was not too long before it became essential. Installation was efficient and subsequent servicing good .Far superior to a stair lift..

An excellent, well run company, with a first class product. As one of their early customers in the UK, we have always had top rate service . Our lift is both a central feature of our house,as well as being an essential installation.
Although there have been no problems with the lift which we are pleased with we are very disappointed with the lack of follow-up support despite taking out an extended warranty.
Having installed a Dou Through Lift in 2015 we were very impressed with the item once the teething issues were resolved and signed up for an annual service contract. Since then every year we have had to chase up for the annual service - this year months overdue -despite contact in the Autumn and told this was in hand. Now very disappointed with Stiltz and would have to think carefully before recommending this product.
Stiltz Homelifts at my house. the lift was for my wife in a wheelchair plus carer. there was asbestos.the carpets and floorboards had to come up. the central heating pipes had to be rerouted. the team came on time ready for action and got work. they installed the lift with minimum of mess and disturbance, left the place clean and tidy, gave me the documentation and instructions, showed me how to work the lift and left. they have been back since to carry out routine maintenance and check all is in order. I have been happy to recommend Stiltz and to show off the lift to prospective customers .
Brilliant product that has age-proofed our house.
Unfortunately Mr Billett is no longer with me. He had Pulmonary Fibrosis..While he was at home he had increasing difficulty in getting up the stairs. His condition worsened and it would have been impossible for him to go upstairs. The lift made this all possible and also helped me. Now I use the lift to move the vacuum cleaner,which is very heavy, and it is also useful to take a basket of laundry upstairs from time to time. Only once have I inadvertently pushed the emergency button when removing things from the lift.
Have had the lift for about a year now and are very pleased with it.
It is very impressive, one or two times we have had to adjust where we standing to get “lligt-off” but nothing serious. It is not used everyday as we try to convince ourselves that our muscles still work as well as they did 10 or 30 years ago!
