Had a few queries on the 2nd time I renewed, but all sorted. I found them to be very competitive and have changed both insurances to them now. Will use them next year if they are still as competitive. Not had to claim so can not comment on that. All in all good service.
Directed to Rentguard website via RLA site. Attempted to get online quote but there was a problem because I inadvertently asked for a grossly inflated level of cover for contents. I received a phone call from Rentguard within minutes (whilst I was entering data for a quote on another site). I was told that fixtures and fittings were standard cover and for my unfurnished let I only needed contents cover for carpets. They now have my business.
Having purchased a flat in London that my wife and I wish to let, it was a good idea to purchase insurance to cover the cost of the furnishings that we bought for the flat and possible liability that could arise in the event that a tenant decided to take some legal action against us, I contacted Rentguard by email. I received a prompt reply, along with a phone number to contact a company representative who was able to answer my questions about the policy when I rang. It was very helpful that I was able to pay by VISA card over the phone. The representatives were well trained and very competent.
After an initial mis-understanding on my part I found the the guy on the other end of the line very helpful and the cover I have got is very good value for money

Excellent service in getting an insurance policy in place. Saved approx. 35% in cost. Proof of the pudding will be what happens if I ever have to claim (hopefully not!), but up to now full marks.

Stay away from this company of you want protection. Very affordable prices but daylight robbery when collected under the assumption that there would be no payout. They are expert in finding holes in any claim.
Normally I am very happy with the service, however i spent the best part of 30 mins on an international phone call to Rentguard and Premium finance to access my policies where the information being held was incorrect on more than 2 occasions and this information was passed on to Premium finance. my birthday was the wrong day, wrong month and about 8 years out of date. my correspondence address (which kept me from accessing my policy adding further cost to my phone call) was somewhere I had never been before. the 4 policies were inconsistent where my birth date was correct on some of them but incorrect on others, surely the system would pick that up and prompt the user? so usually i am very happy with the service and prices, but today im a bit annoyed. On the upside, the people that i dealt with were very pleasant happy to help. so customer service is still good!
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I made the mistake of ASKING if I was covered for a repair to one of my properties, and they told me that this repair wasn't covered because it was counted as "wear and tear". Fair enough! However they then refused to renew the insurance on that property; OK their privilege! Six months later they declined to renew cover on my OTHER properties, without explanation! As if I had tried to commit fraud!! I leave you to judge those facts for yourself!

I Have insured my rental property with RentGuard for the last 10 years. The renewal process is always quick and easy. The cost is also great value.
I’ve done a quote on line and received a phone call from one of the company advisers straight away to check if I had any questions. Subsequently I purchased a household policy with a very competitive premium. The person who I spoke to was professional answering all my questions without hesitation. I’m happy to recommend Rend Guard to anyone who does not want to keep looking on line and get a ‘100’ phone calls from various insurance providers. Rent Guard has it all under one umbrella.
