I used Rent guard for my rental buildings and contents insurance. They were good but always shop around for comparisons. The guy I spoke to was helpful when I could hear him! The phone line was shocking and I struggled to hear him when important information was being exchanged.He promised to get things checked at his end, so I hope next time it has improved as I'm sure this will deter a lot of customers.

I felt that our previous insurance didn't t fully suit our situation as landlords, and was very pleased to find more appropriate cover for a few pounds less. Talked to real people, will be going back to them with a minor change, and feel sure they will be helpful.

Every year we renew with Rentguard. They provide good cover options, and their service is excellent - quick to get through to check any queries about the renewal quote, ask about different providers, or add / take off anything.

Every year I carry out a survey of other 'landlord' insurance on the market, and every year I find rentguard covers more than other similar insurance companies for less money. In particular they cover an HMO property which is a service difficult to find elsewhere. Reminders are always sent in good time.

Oh what a difference this experience was when comparing insurance! The lady who I spoke to was efficient, friendly and had no 'hard sell'. Probably because they offer policies which are fully geared up to Landlords and contain everything you would require to cover your property and tenants. It was the quickest and easiest competitive quote I think I have ever had. My call was answered quickly without going through loads of ... press 1 for this ....press 2 for that then listen to music and wait for ages! Let's hope they don't do what other insurance companies tend to do by selling you a policy at a very competitive rate initially then bumping up the premiums each year even though you haven't made a claim! Time will tell no doubt but my initial impressions were very good. Watch this space!

I have never needed Rentguard's services in anger, but their documentation is excellent and I expect their services match.

Customer service rep was very helpful and provided the additional information I asked for very quickly. Purchase very simple. Competitive rate. True rating for insurance only known if you need to claim, but good so far.

The end result was good but having to negotiate an inflated premium each year and request corrections to a 'roll-on' policy was frustrating.
