5 trust that this is a genuine company, because I. have just realised how much more it costs compared to my previous insurer Zurich. Before next january I shall try and find some feedback from other users, The process was clear and correct and I was made to go over all the exclusions so that there can't be any nasty surprises if I should need to claim.
Our buildings insurance was due for renewal and had increased by 12% so I searched for a cheaper quotation. Rentguard were much cheaper, the excesses were higher, but this outweighed the saving on the premium. After contacting Rentguard and explainging the situation I was sent several automated incorrect documents. The customer service reply rate is slow, often incorrect and slightly unprofessional. It was sorted out in the end and now we're covered. If you can cope with the delays, the lower premium is worth it. I just hope we don't need to claim!

The Lady who helped me was very well informed of the products available and the policy that would suit be best at this point. I thank her for the speedy cover and delivery by e-mail of all necessary documentation.
Weren't able to fulfil our requirements but did comeback to us, and quickly, which was better than a number of competitor's.
Rentguard is flexible, friendly and good to deal with. The reason I'm not giving it a 5* rating is that I've never had to make a claim (and long may this continue). So I cannot comment on their claim handling and how good that is.
I took out my building insurance about 6years ago and i received a very good service every year and very cheap.
Customer service is great, quick and easy to get quotes, Landlord policies are very cheap. Its great to have your own personal Account manager - Heidi who is very helpful and always available whenever any issues arise. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Have been dealing with Rentguard for a while now and they have been great very competitively priced policy's and the staff are very help full in particular Andre his customer service is second to none!
Not the cheapest quotes but great customer service. Brought all my business to Rentguard because of that.
Rentguard send a prompt reminder of the renewal and arranging continued cover/payment by phone is always straightforward.

I spoke to Jonathan and to set up both Landlords Insurance and Rent protection. He was very clear on all the information he gave me and the rates were fantastic. He really was looking to secure the best deal for me and I confirmed both on the phone. It took very little time to get everything sorted. Policies set up easily, what we needed, competitively priced, All interactions with staff have been positive. Not had the need to make any claim so unable to speak for that side of the service.
Having discussed the unnecessary elements that had been added automatically at renewal, Rentguard were happy to adjust the policy back to my original requirements and charge the same premium as the previous year. Quite happy with the service and response. Documents were sent out by email almost immediately.
When I first tried to insure my flats in 2013 I could literally get NO-ONE else to look at me, in fact these guys turned me down initially too. The problem was it was new business and my surveyor had quoted re-build costs that were way over what I had paid for the property, Although the place was far from derelict there was going to be a time when it was empty while I refurbished it. Alarm bells obviously rang and I was desperate because I did not want to leave them uninsured. The agent at Rentguard who had initially rejected me knew I was in a fix and he actually came back to me a day or two later and offered me a price. It was very high, but he was very clear: "let us know as soon as you get tenants in and you can get back the unused part of your premium and re-insure at a better price." This, they did, and a year later they have gently reminded me that the date was approaching, one letter and one email and I had one follow-up call from an individual agent who has been my sole contact there in all correspondence etc. I got an on-line quote from Direct Line which undercut them by about 30 quid. I called the agent at Rightguard to discuss this and he pointed out the public liability payouts were very different, so for that, and the personal service factor, I have kept my insurance business with them.
As above, excellent in all respects and I have already recommended them to a friend.
