Being of the old school, I have always been accustomed to paper renewals. This electronic approach is a relatively new experience and until something goes wrong or goes wrong with my device, then there is no real problem, except the casual possibility of deletion in error. The down side is having to print off myself and not always having access to a wireless printer for my iPad to communicate with. My wife and I are determined to keep up with modern methods and technology and your product and those of other companies that we deal with forces us to keep up and to experience new trends. I wonder, however, what the impact is going to be on our previously wonderful postal service, as letter volumes decline. Let's put it another way, I would not invest heavily in Royal Mail/ Post Office shares, as I anticipate their demise in the next 15 to 20 years, if not sooner.

I've used them for over ten years, never found any company better. Most competitive and claims are dealt with quickly with no quibble.

I have never had to make a claim so can't vouch for them, been with them continuously since 2007 - price has been increasing year on year by about 6% - quick Google and I found D.Line were 20% cheaper - RentGuard matched the price - but I still feel cheated. I wish these firms would offer you a better deal to start with.

In March 2014, I spoke with Jaime Dickenson about my Insurance requirements for 2 properties. While discussing things with her I mentioned that 2 other properties were coming up for renewal during August. They were insured with Endsleigh. I was surprised when at the beginning of August, Jaime contacted me to remind me of my renewal. Not only did she have my appreciation, but she also had me signing 2 other Insurance contracts wit them. Well done, Jaime. Good job!

I received a call from a member of the customer service team a few weeks ago to remind me that my residential landlord insurance would be expiring in a few weeks. I was preoccupied with other more urgent matters but was not pressed to act immediately by the caller in any way which I really appreciated. So many call centres put infuriating pressure on people to sign up immediately and for me is a sure way to guarantee no further or even hope of business coming from me. It is their bullying sales tactics which are abhorrent. Not so with Rentguard.. it was a gentle reminder which stayed in the back of my mind until the very last day which was entirely my doing and I could have done it sooner! But grown-ups don't need reminding again... I simply called up, requested renewal, provided my policy number and paid with my card over the phone. Job done in under 5 mins. Paperwork was emailed across in minutes too. This was such a fast and efficient transaction I thought too easy and good to be true. I had already researched and received unwanted cold calls from the competition. All quoted more, in some cases significantly more than Rentguard's policy cover too. Yet they still won't give up! So my business stays where it is until further notice.. Top marks.

Hard work to deal with and never got back to you. Promised to send details but never did. I had to threaten to go to his boss and the ABI before he finally sent my documents through. Simply not acceptable.

Very efficient service and were willing to review the price to make the renwal competitive. So much easier to deal with than companies that disproportionately increase their price at renewal time and won't discuss a better quote until you prove you have gone to all the trouble of getting alternative quotes elsewhere. It's nice to see a company with some loyalty to their customers.

I have insured several properties with Rentguard over the last few years and have always received great service.

Was recommended by another landlord and found the company to be helpful, friendly and efficient. Very quick response and competitive price. Will recommend to others.

Now at the fourth renewal, we get a timely reminder and as soon as payment is made, new documents are delivered promptly by e-mail. A very efficient service!

Good customer service

My only comment is, I do not appreciate being urged to pay 3-4 weeks before due. 7-10 days as a reminder would be fine. Otherwise, very polite young lady dealt with me when I rang to pay

I felt as a renewal some attempt could have been made to offer advice I.e. could there ahave been a policy review.

I waited too long and my cover expired (NOT RECOMMENDED), but rentguard listed me therefore as a new customer. This way I got better rates. I understand the economics behind it, but I don't like this preferential treatment of 'new customers', because you basically shouldn't be loyal......

As above and thanks for a timely reminder.

Friendly staff and easy transaction, although some of the details of the policy were completed wrongly by the representative.

I usually rate these sorts of things with 4stars as I believe there's always room for improvement. However in this case I can't really see where. The emails I received where concise and easy to read and understand. I did receive a follow up call and email as I didn't renew straight away. This was adequate as I knew I had to sort the cover out, but didn't feel hounded or pressured into taking rentguards policy. I did also shop around to see if I could get a similar policy at a lower rate. I soon realised how competitive rentguards policy is and renewed straight away. Although I couldn't get through to Gavin as he was on another call, he called me back in a matter of minutes and renewed my policy straight away taking no time at all. Every person I have spoken to a Rentguard has been polite, friendly and professional, I have no problem continuing to recommend you, keep up the good work.

Got a letter saying my renewal was due. Rang and was delighted and amazed that it was answered quickly. then the person who answered was also able to take my payment. No hanging about, being put in call queues or handed around between people! Very refreshing...

Rentguard is easy to deal with and quotes sensible prices for cover which seems to be fairly comprehensive. The staff who handle the phones are friendly and seem knowledgeable. However, the acid test is when it comes to a claim. We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully it will be a long wait!
