I rang in to renew my block insurance. The renewal price was ok, but I was told about a new system and that they would do a new quote for me. This came in much cheaper so I was thrilled. All done quickly and efficiently and politely. If I'm being very picky I'd rather the person on the phone spoke just a little slower so that it doesn't sound rushed and so I can hear every word, but that's only a tiny niggle. I am a satisfied customer of Rentguard.
Kendall was incredibly efficient and helpful over a few days to assist me in getting my desired outcome re block or portfolio insurance for my rental properties.
We have been with Rentguard for over 20 years. We just renewed our policy and had no hesitation to do so. Everyone was so polite and helpful whenever I had to get in touch. Just had an engineer in - Harold. He came at the time we were given. What was good is that he telephoned us to say he was on his way. Harold was very polite. He knew straight away what the problem was with the washing machine and he was able to sort it out without any trouble. You could tell straight away, just by talking to him, how competent he was.

We requested a landlords insurance that allowed the property to be vacant for >30 days incase there was a break in tenancy. We read the Ts and Cs and then when calling up to book it we spoke to a different agent who suggested we go with an alternative provider. Turns out this new provider doesn't allow an empty property so we're now out of policy half way through our term. Most frustrating thing is I've attempted to call them 10 times now, for over an hour each attempt with no success getting through to the sales operator. They were quick to answer the phone to say my policy was no longer valid, but when they transfer me to get a new policy sorted I'm on hold so far indefinitely until the line cuts out. No other company will now engage with me as I have been classed as "insurance terminated". Only positive is that it was the cheapest on the market when we initially signed up to it.

I have used Rentguard for many years and I always find the service professional and helpful. I did find it a little difficult to contact the renewal line which I think was down to a large volume of calls. I would have scored them a full five out of five however having to contact them every year to get my premium reduced even though I'm a long standing customer is mildly annoying. That's insurance for you 🙂

Friendly helpfull staff. Not on hold for lengthy periods of time. transferred to the correct person therefore not repeating information. proactive renewals with alternative options ie multi property benefits
I have had 5 or 6 properties insured with Rentguard for many years. I was fortunate enough to speak to Shannon on the phone about renewing one as the person the day before tried to tell me I only had one insured! Shannon was by far the most helpful individual I have dealt with over many years at Rentguard. She listened to me and understood my frustration at the person the day before. Shannon actually spent some time locating all my policies and linking them to avoid mistakes in the future. I suspect the linking of the policies should have been done previously but no one could be bothered before Shannon got involved. I don’t give praise for excellent customer service unless it is earned and I have to say Shannon deserves a thank you for exceptional customer service! Maybe she could train some colleagues up now.
Kendall has been most helpful and polite on a number of occasions. She has answered queries promptly and special thanks to her for suggesting creating a portfolio which should make renewals simpler and more convenient.
I recently contacted Rentguard regarding renewal of my student house insurance portfolio. I was told that the person I needed to speak to was away from her desk and she would call me in a few minutes, which she did. I dealt with Kendall who was polite, cheerful and efficient. As part of the security questions she needed to know my birthday which was a few days before - she wished me a happy belated birthday. A nice touch. She was able to deal with the matter in a few minutes and the discount requested was granted easily. On the whole a good experience thanks to Kendall!
