They sell insurance. I need insurance. I pay them the money they ask for, they send me an insurance certificate. Seems efficient. I have no idea how we would fare if I needed to make a claim as I never have.
Clear and to the point with speed
The 10% + increase in costs was simply due to the cost of building index increases. It appeared no other considerations could be considered e.g. no claims made over 20 years. The insured value of one house for insurance purposes is twice the market value. No helpful suggestions were made to rectify this.

I initially phoned you and was told by the operative he was too busy to take my call but that he would phone back within 20 minutes which he did. The transaction was handled professionally and the new paperwork arrived on the same day.
Renewal premium was three times last year's and the prior year's rate despite no changes in circumstances. Emailed Rentguard for explanation - no reply. Telephoned and was offered a rate twice that of previous year. Told that earlier rates shouldn't have been sold in prior years! Best rate should have been offered automatically and emails should be responded to.
Been with Rentguard for some 15 years. Last October (6 months ago) we had a flooded basement and made a claim on our insurance. 6 months later the claim remains outstanding. It took them 3 months to appoint a loss adjuster and he has made little or no progress. Needless to say our tenants are pretty upset. Our renewal came up in April and the premium had tripled! We complained it was reduced to just over double with excess increased to £5,000. Am unable to change insurers because of the still outstanding claim.

The Insurance Service provider, Justin Stace was most impressive in his service provision that amply justified the 5 star review I've given him. In essence, he was technically very knowledgeable, in attitude very patient and in overall terms very customer centric. I found no areas where he could have provided a better service. Had Rentguard for years and never made a claim , unfortunately I had to make a claim and after initial contact I was told it would be dealt with in a few days….. after a week I started sending emails then 2 weeks I called, was told to contact someone else and hung up after 90 minutes on hold. Very disapointed That they don’t follow up on what they say it’s week 3 now ans still waiting. I won’t be renewing or recommending.
Totally incompetent Renewals Team and Accounts Team. Renewals were completely messed up by the Renewals Team and despite several phone calls no one got back to me. Only when I spoke to a Data Handler Supervisor to make a complaint was anything resolved. The supervisor was excellent and dealt with everything in an efficient manner. The following day Renewals Team rang again to ask why I'd made 2 payments as Accounts Team didn't know why - they had been dealing with the query the previous day!!! Right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. I will be looking for insurances elsewhere next year
I was expecting a straightforward reinsurance for my buy to let properties and to continue with the same insurers, while I got that start with by post, I then found the process more complicated than I was expecting, Rentguard ended up changing my insurers to get a competitive quote against last year, which took time. One of my tenants has just left snd I wish to spend money and time on property improvements. There was much more to-ing and fro-ing about that than I expected, as I would have thought it to be a normal and ususl process. Rentguard made it feel,difficult!
I’ve just written a review but checked the reviews that had been written by other customers. It seems as if I’m not the only one that didn’t get a refund back and people need to read all the reviews on page 2 as all the good reviews are on page 1 for some reason. Disgusting company, after having spent a fortune with them in the past. No way will I in the future!
I've just completed a buildings insurance inquiry and I have to say what an absolute ray of sunshine to deal with these people. In an otherwise grey, glass half empty and computer saying NO industry these guys are like a breath of fresh air. Anwar Mohamed was helpful, efficient, knowledgeable and above all friendly (a rare skill-set in today's world). If only all service providers could be this good. 11/10
