I've had my bike for nearly 2 years now and this company was v. helpful. Mine is a Kalkhoff bike - I'd used this range in Germany on holiday - and they were able to give me lots of info and suggestions.

Brilliant advice over the phone gave me total confidence to order the bike immediately. I have not regretted the choice.
Some years ago I left a deposit of several hundred pounds on a bike that, as it turned out, they could not supply. My problem was that it took a long time and several phone calls to get the refund. It was refunded as a cheque posted in a small flimsy brown envelope. I later ordered a drive gear for a Panasonic motor and this was also posted out in a flimsy brown envelope barley able to contain the drive gear. That was over five years ago and the stuation may now be completely different.
We bought a taga from the guys at 50 cycles, they were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

I bought my Kalkhoff Endeavour a few years ago because it was becoming impossible to ride a normal bike due to a muscle weakening illness I developed. It has allowed me to continue riding and not worry about having the strength to get home again. The peddle assist makes it easy for someone like me to breeze up hills and into strong winds (this was a major problem for me) as effort free as riding along a straight road. I can keep up with most other cyclists and really enjoy the experience. It is like cycling in the first class seats.

After service wasn't thorough enough. I had electrical problems. Eventually the changed the battery even tho it was Never the battery. I had a reconditioned one for My new one and it quickly died .... useless. Now I have to find £700 to get my bohemian on the road again. Pam grantham
I purchased my second Kalkoff Bike from 50 cycles this year. I had the original for 10 years. It was still going strong but would not fit into the garage of my motorhome. New bike is superb. The staff in the shop are knowledgeable and very helpful. 50 cycles even helped me to sell my original bike via their web site. New bike arrive a few days after ordering.
I've always found them very helpful when I've needed them - which hasn't been very often.
Purchased my bike from you at the Bath and West show, two years ago Kalkhoff excellent bike and when I’ve had minor problem they have been sorted over the phone or on line .very good after sales .

Love my Kalkoff Premier 8 - it's made an amazing difference to my cycling. I had a couple of teething issues but team at 50 cycles sorted them out very quickly
Good product, but aftersales service is virtually non existent. Have badly needed help on two occasions and I received very little. Will not buy from 50cycles again.
50Cycles is a great place to go if you're looking for an electric bike. I got a great price on a Giant E1-Road and have already knocked out 1700km, during which 50Cycles provided a free service. They have a good range of brands for all types of users, and in the Twickenham branch where I bought mine, a very friendly crew. Dump you car, buy and eBike.
Bike was supplied with cranks on the wrong side. As a result first one pedal, which had been hard to fit on fell off. 50 cycles replaced the pedal but did not refund my postage. This was replaced by a person familiar with Kaufhoff bikes who spotted nothing untoward. On my next ride, the other pedal fell off. I was asked by 50 cycles to give more description of the problem and only then was I asked about the markings on the cranks. The incorrect cranks were replaced but, once again, I had to pay postage. No mention was made of any reimbursement for what proved to have been a bike sent out in an unsatisfactory condition. I received no apology either verbally or in writing from 50 cycles. Perhaps I was unlucky. I would nevertheless have welcomed some acknowledgement of the inconvenienced I experienced.
