Poor experience, returned the bike (green zebra transport classic) for work to be carried on the battery, work carried out was okay. After I collected the bike I notice a crack in the LED screen of the control panel. I emailed a photo of the damage to Fifty Cycles to be sent the wrong controller by Cris Pearce at Green Zebra 27/02/13. I now find the control buttons have grown hard and have crumbled into bits. This opportunity to voice my opinion has come more than three years to late. I know there will be no feed back from Trustpilot or FiftyCycles.Purchase order number 7668. Unhappy of Tamworth

Dealing with Altrincham was very easy. Really pleased with the bike. Just wished it had a bottle holder option.

I purchased from the old shop , very rushed and little or no information was passed over ! Having said that I got the bike for a good price . There was no follow up from 50 cycles , to ask if there was any problem or if I was happy with the bike . I hope that the new shop treats its customers with a bit more care .

All went well until collection day when l called into the store my bike aS not ready and the guy there had little time for me? Called back later and collected bike, all seemed fine, took it by train to Victoria for a first ride. Outside Victoria the headstock which had not been tightened correctly meant the front. Wheel did notfollow the bars and l came off in traffic but got away with it! Bike is lovely though, next delivery to my address l think!

Dreadful service from HQ, ok thanks to one person at the Bristol shop. Unreliable engine and the software ‘fix’ still leaves me nervous about going further than I could manage under my own power.

Have had a few issues during ownership of a Pro Connect but they have all been dealt with by 50 cycles with no arguments or quibbling. I will buy from them again.

50 cycles knew that the pedal assist bike will be shipped to Canada which will require 120 VAC input voltage to its Lithium Ion battery charger. This is the second purchased from this company of a Kalkhoff ebike from the same customer. When the latest order was made, the staff did not check the shipment of the battery charger specification. As a result, a 220 VAC input voltage was shipped. After several attempts to communicate with Anthony Douglas about it, the issue was not resolved. Anthony left the company and the customer service dept was not aware that an unresolved battery charger issue occurred. In late August 2017, 50 cycle was informed again of the situation. The company did nothing yet to exchange the battery charger. Since 50 cycles was at fault, it is necessary for them to exchange the battery charger and accept the cost of shipping when the charger is returned and a new 120 VAC is exchanged and shipped to Canada. The current customer is obligated to ship the 220 VAC input battery charger and pay for shipping. The purchasing experience from 50 cycles was not quite satisfactory due to this unresolved issue.

Satisfied Customer. 05 October 2017, 21:41

I've always enjoyed cycling but when certain health issues hit me ten years ago I found the experience less enjoyable when going up hills or cycling into head winds. I purchased a cheap(ish) electric bike from somewhere else and it was great for one year, when things started going wrong and there seemed to be nobody interested in repairing it. After research, I purchased a full sized gents bike from 50 cycles and made the jump from a basic bike to beautifully crafted machine - purchased in 2012 and still like new on the original battery. The people I've dealt with in Loughborough are really keen on their bikes and when I had my bike serviced / new tyres etc they were enthusiastic and interested in what they were doing. Very highly recommended.

I've bought three electric bikes from 50 cycles over the 5 years or so. I have always found the team there to be brilliant and super responsive. The bikes are great and the prices spot on. I would never even consider buying an electric bike anywhere else.

Very good company with good aftersale service. Had a couple of minor problems. 1 duff charger and a lock failed. Both problems sorted very quickly with no drama.

I had a great experience with 50cycles. Tim met me at Heathrow to hand deliver my bike, then helped me break it down repack it when the airline balked at the initial size of the box. Of course I love the bike, a Khalkhoff Pro Connect. Since I live out of the UK I had VAT refunded and Tim did this within a day or two.
