Superb advice and efficient service. From zero to changing my lifestyle in 2 days... loving the bicycle and got a great deal.
I wanted to buy a bike for my husband. Before cancer he was a keen cyclist but major surgery including a liver transplant left him feeling like he would not manage this again. I was helped by 50cycles to identify an electric bike option and my goodness there is no stopping him now. Not being anything technically minded the team were brilliant. The bike arrive and wow a smile!!! Thank you
Staff were very attentive whilst I was buying my Kalkhoff power cycle. Once I parted with my money they were uninterested when I expressed my disappointment with the range of the bike which is nowhere near the claims made ( I only use it on the low & medium power settings). The drive chain became very worn after only about 250 miles. It is very comfortable to ride but overall, would I recommend it to others? No! Save your money and buy a cheaper one because the overall quality does not reflect the price that I paid for it.
Very professional, very keen to help with follow up sales. Looking forward to my next electric bike. My current one has clocked up 15,000 miles commuting to work over three and a half years daily use. On my second battery.
Good selection of bikes available to test. Staff could not be more helpful. Very pleased with my Winora Yakun. Looks the business with performance to match. Hills? What hills.
We had good service when purchasing a toba beat bike from 50 cycles Loughborough. After talking a little while about my wife's cycling likes and needs, the member of staff recommended this bike and it really has been a life changer. My wife had stopped cycling with me for anything more than towpaths and flat rides as she didn't like the hills. Now she has a smile on her face going uphill and a 'bring it on' attitude. She used to think that an electric bike would be cheating but now she thinks very differently. She rides 50 to 100 miles a week for work then rides 30 miles with me at the weekend for the sheer joy of it. She is getting so fit as she is riding so much more than she used to. She still has to put effort into the crank motor and she knows she's had a workout but she just loves ebiking now. Thank you 50 cycles, you do know your stuff, and we were grateful for the very decent discount you gave us. I recommended you to my brother and he came to you from Grimsby and purchased a Kalkhoff for his wife, who was last seen flying along on deserted country lanes in France with a big smile on her face!
I'm very happy with service I got Fromm 50 cycles
Great Bike. Great service
I went to 50 cycles expecting to buy a certain type of electric bicycle but ended up with something different driven by what bikes they had in stock. The show room was somewhat limited but I was able to test ride a few bikes. I have been pleased with my Kalkhof bike which has been reliable and very well built.
Loved riding the bike. I've had no issues whatever. When I was thinking of buying from 50cycles, there were no limits to the number of test rides offered. Only downside was the test ride site, which is up and down a flat road.
3 cycles in the family and no complaints, all of them perform exceedingly well.good value for the service given by each machine .we as a family have no complaints.RaySabiston.
Great reception at your depot by James & rest of staff when we arrived, shown a selection of machines in store, loaned two bikes to take out on test on a route James recommended. The bike I later ordered was delivered boxed a few weeks later, after riding around parts of Yorkshire with our cycling club for the last twelve months plus the machine has been great and lived up to my expectations.
Great customer service and after 8 years my Agattu step through is still going strong!
You are a lovely company to deal with and nothing is too much trouble.
I haven't recently bought anything from 50 Cycles, but I rang to enquire about buying a battery for my Kalkhoff Agattu. The man I spoke to was very helpful but sending a battery to France was going to cost £130 apparently, so I got one on ebay instead. My main feedback would be on the bike purchase, I asked advice for a bike to ride on road and on hard tracks and was sold essentially a city bike, when really I needed an all terrain bike, so I have been disappointed that it's only suitable on tarmac. Currently it's in the local dealership with a fault.
Reece at the Manchester store was very helpful over the phone prior to my visit, then during my visit when I decided to buy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering buying an electric bike.
I did a lot of research on the internet, made my decision, then purchased my bike.I wanted the best bang for my buck, backed by a guarantee, the best made ,the best reputation, best equipment etc.best hill climber, NO CONTEST it had to be a KALKHOFF,it had to be 50 Cycles, what a joy ,I have a permanent smile whilst on my bike ,it’s BRILLIANT and Beautiful, Cheers.
fantastic people to deal with. i bought a kalkhoff auguttu from this company and it is built like a tank, when i did have a problem with it all it took was one phone call and they arranged for it to be picked up and delivered it back when fixed. i would not hesitate to recommend 50 cycles as they are a brilliant firm to deal with.
Received bike , minus the key to get the battery out , also the mirror was missing also the pump they sent new keys no joy , had to re pack and send bike back , on arrival the company accused me that I broke the back light but they did fix it , they said that they would give the bike a five star service , to be honest it came back worse than when I sent it . also within three months of the five star service , I had to have new disc brakes fitted , so the bikes they sell A1 , but customer service or repairs , sorry will buy locally next time
I brought my bike,a kalkhof aggattu, about 7 years ago from 50cycle, when parts are needed I always order them from 50cycles, as I know I will get a really great customer service and fast delivery of parts. and on occasions have phoned for some mechanical advise, just can't fault them. 50cycles have kept me cycling for 7 years, great value and service.
