We bought two , and love them. We have them in Portugal where we spend half the year. Great safe cycling in lovely countryside. Without them we wouldn’t have seen so much. 70 -80 miles on one charge. Brilliant.
Great guys. fixed my electric motor on my Kalkhoff S10
Well selected items, very informative website, product details, fast communication
5 stars- no doubt - good service and bike was so good and lived up to its expectation that I bought a second one!
Pleasant buying experiance really good to be able to take the bike out for a good long test ride. Very very pleased with our pedal assist bikes. I certainly cycle much more now hills and head winds are not so off putting. Very practical additional vehicle with the addition of 2 good panniers. Have done a number of pretty long distance rides and hoping to do more in the future. Have not had any maintenance problems.
The bikes great if a little heavy but super range. I think I bought the wrong size tho as I was rushed during the purchase I know know a smaller frame would have suited me better.
I purchased my Endeavour BS10 about 4 years ago. I still think it’s the best bike I’ve every purchased. The only bad experience I had was after about 18 months the motor broke and it took about 4 weeks to resolve, because the bike motor has to be returned to Germany to be replaced. This bike makes me look good, I fly past almost everyone. I can travel about 30 miles slowly increasing the assistance near the end. I’ve recommend these bike to everyone I know, but no one has purchased one due to the price, it cost more than a second hand car. If you can afford one, get one you won’t regret it.
I purchased my Kalkhoff Agattu C11 in December 2012 as a second bike. Most of my cycling is on a touring road bike but I have done over 5000 miles on the e-bike and still get over 75 miles registering per charge. It was very easy to speak with someone for advice when buying (Tim Snaith in my case) and backup support was always readily available at the end of the telephone. I now use a local company for servicing as they are only half an hour from Ilkley where I live.
50 cycles have been very helpful with the few gremlins on my excellent Kalkhoff c8 -they have certainly gone the extra mile
Excellent service and communication. My kalkoff is superb and when I was in Spain recently and wanted a higher ratio rear sprocket it was no trouble to send it to me at minimum expense. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because they do not trade in second hand bikes, I am sure that I would have upgraded mine by now (its 4 years old) if they did but I can't be bothered doing it myself. I think they are missing out as there must be a big market for good quality second hand electric bikes. Car dealers and caravan dealers make more on second hand than new.
Excellent service, speedy delivery.
Generally very pleased, however after 18 months there has been a perceptible reduction in power on all settings
I think the after sales service is fawltless, I did have a couple of issues, which were dealt with quickly and efficiently so I would highly recommend 50 Cycles.
The item i purchased was delivered on time and was a useful bit of kit. Thank you.
I bought a kalkhoff mail order from 50 cycles. It had a faulty battery which was a pain as I had to take the bike back to Loughborough. But they fixed it quickly and it's worked fine since then.
Actually bought bike second hand off someone I heard about on the 50cc website Excellent value Kahlkoff
Bought our first e bikes from 50 cycles, very pleased with choice recommended and bought two Kalkhoff bikes, never looked back
Appalling after-sales service.
Prices and delivery are fine and the company are generally helpful, but they are not ever vey keen to sort out problems Also the Kalkhoff impulse motors sold in many of their bikes are not suitable for long-term use: both myself and a work colleague have suffered multiple crank-drive failures. 50 cycles refused to help out when my second motor failed and the bike was just over 2-years old, but my work colleague who purchased the same bike elsewhere got better support and they arranged for a replacement motor for him outside of the warranty period. I purchased my current bike from elsewhere..
I did plenty of research up front but the guys in the shop were really helpful and seemed willing to spend as much time as I needed to help me choose. They know their stuff!
