Ordered ike which was delivered damaged. Took it to local branch, Bristol, and was assured that bike would be replaced. A month later new bike had still not been ordered. They then said they would repair the original which we refused. The shop Managet said again that it would be replaced. Two days later, 50 Cycles head office rang to say it would not be replaced but repaired. A Scottish Holiday was imminent for wnich the bike wqs required. They agreed to loan us a bike which we had to collect from Loughborough. Upon trying to ride it, (I have a replacement knee) we found the bike had a back pedal brake which I could not operate. We broke our holiday to return this bike to Loughborough and asked for our money back. This could only be authorised by the owner who was in the Far East. They contacted him on the phone, and after an hours slanging match they agreed to refund our money. On our way to scotland and as we needed a bike, we stopped at J.E. James in Sheffield and purchsed a bike. They were very obliging and helpful. I would definitely NOT recommend 50 Cycles

Very happy with my kalkoff bike, purchase and delivery. Not so happy when my battery failed. Couldn't get a replacement for some time and had to buy a different charger to suit new battery, extra £150. That battery failed within the guarrantee period. 50 cycles dealt with that very well and a new battery was provided free of charge. Bike now 7 years old and have no regrets about choosing what was an expensive bike at the time

Very prompt and courteous service, at first I was a little confused because I thought I was buying a brand new out of the box bike . It turned out to be an ex demo bike, which turned out after talking to the salesman to have twenty miles on and pretty much as new . After a little bit of haggling bike arrived and was like new. Had it just over a month and done 250 miles , the bike which is a haibike allmtn 5 has been absolutely brilliant great buy and like I said very good service , I would definitely use 50cycles again .

Would never use you again the guy at Kingston came out with a load of wrong info good job I knew about bikes. I sold it almost straight away and got a trek electric bike much better

Good to have a local supplier but shopping experience, support and setup nonexistant...........you need to persever.

I went to Bristol to buy a Kalkhoff electric bike from 50cycles. I had a trial ride chose the one I wanted and paid up front. A week later the bike arrived by courier, I unpacked it and discovered they had not included the battery charger but after a phone call it arrived by post a few days later. On my first ride there was a horrible grinding noise from the near the crank. I had been assured that all bikes were checked by a technician before leaving the shop. After a few phone calls and having to provide a video of the noise they agreed to send me another bike. I said I wanted this one checked over properly and road tested before delivery. I sent off the original bike and a second one arrived the following week. You probably won't be surprised to learn that it too had a grinding noise from the crank ! I said I did not have confidence in the product or 50cycles and asked for a refund It took almost a month of phone calls and emails before they refunded my money. The manager was very difficult to deal with and suggested the problem was my lack of experience of electric bikes and wanted me to ride it for 40 miles before they would refund my money. Altogether a very poor way to treat customers.

Your very good service made it easy to get my ebike. The Kalkhoff has been excellent with no problems at all. A friend has had one for 5 years and I'm sure mine will give similar service.

There is an ebike shop in Farnham in Surrey where I live, where wishing to support local business I popped into to browse their stock. Sadly I wasn’t allowed entry as I hadn’t made an appointment. No further comment! The next day I took myself up to your shop in Twickenham, no appointment needed and within half an hour I had spent £3,295 on my beautiful Kalkhoff. The staff were attentive even though the shop was reasonably busy and I was very happy with the whole experience not just there but with the support staff in Loughborough once the bike was delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend 50cycles, indeed I already have done so.

I got great help from 50cycles when I was first interested in an electric bike right through to purchase, and since when I bought an accessory and also when I made an enquiry relating to maintenance. They were generous with time, willingness to let me try the bikes I was interested in, and made the purchase and subsequent ownership a pleasure. I use my bike regularly, as well as non electric bikes, and have greatly enjoyed it. I am grateful to 50cycles for their excellent approach.
