This is my second major purchase of 2 x ebikes from 50cycles. Great customer service and the overnight delivery and return of our tradein bikes worked brilliantly. The team were very pleasant and easy to deal with on the phone. We loved our Kalkhoffs but now living on the 4th floor of an apartment block we can both get in the lift with our new BH Rebel Volt bikes with them fully assembled and ready to go. Great bikes !

Anyone dealing with 50 cycles distribution beware one word changed in the title and they are allowed to remain trading would never ever deal with this company again.

I don't like leaving poor reviews, however I feel I need to advice potential purchasers that 50 Cycles advertised the bike I wanted as a stock item. I purchased the bike in good faith. 4 days later I phoned asking about my order to be told it would be mid November as the bike was not instock. At this stage I asked for a refund and was advised it would take upto 14 days to process this. Which is just not true. It can be done at a push of a button. Today 2 weeks after placing my order I have started a charge back with my credit card company as no refund has been made. So make sure the bike you want is available before purchasing. Though my advice after this experience is to shop elsewhere.

Bought a Cube bike about 9 months ago and had a problem with the Bosch motor (very unusual). 50 Cycles after sales could not have been better. We were worried because we bought on line and were 100 miles away but this made no difference. Free pick up and deliver back. All repairs carried out under warranty. So, don't worry buying if you're not local. Would very highly recommend

Just bought my second e-bike from 50 Cycles. My first, a Kalkhoff Agattu has had very few problems over the 5 years I've owned it, and 50 Cycles have always put things right quickly if things did arise. After just 2 months of ownership of my new BH Evo City Pro my wife accidentally knocked it off its stand onto a concrete drive and snapped the casting where the stand attaches to the bike. I was away from home at the time without access to the bikes frame number but 50 Cycles trawled their records, identified the part required, and had a replacement on order under warranty the same day.

We bought a used Specialised bike and very happy with the bike and delivery.

AVOID The manager is astonishingly rude! You would be well advised to avoid 50 Cycles in Loughborough. There is a clear disinclination to embrace customer service. I am one of the lucky ones as I chose not to become a customer of 50 Cycles in Loughborough. Buying from them and becoming reliant on them as an electric bicycle agent would be horrifying! Steer well clear of this place.

50cycles were recommended following a chance meeting with a cyclist in my village. On my initial visit to the shop, great care was taken to ensure my particular requirements were considered in the choice of bike. It's very important to get this right, particularly if you have fitness/injury concerns. The recommended (and chosen) bike was a BH Atom Cross Pro and it was very well selected for me. Their guidance was spot-on. If you get it right, these machines can be life-changing. Further, the support, particularly from David Anning, who is the Workshop Manager, was excellent. I had been a bit dopey about the bike set-up and he was tireless in ensuring my customer satisfaction. You'll be fine with them. Recommended.

A new Impulse 2.3 motor fitted to my Beatbike under warranty during a recent service is performing faultlessly. It feels smooth and quiet under load, more powerful and efficient. So far I’m very pleased with it and would like to thank 50 cycles for their efficient service and no quibble replacement of the motor.

You may read many reviews which will say “great service love the new bike” I believe a business really shows there worth not by necessarily selling you what they sell that’s the easy bit but how they follow up any problems that may arise. Davis Anning at 50cycles has more than met my expectations and infact exceeded them with a recent problem I had with My beloved Kalkhoff. The solution has been perfect for my bike and my circumstances of being a long way geographically from the shop so buy with confidence in my opinion.

Very impressed with the bike and the helpful service. Once I worked through the manual to understand the operation of the Bosch controller fully all was great.

I phoned Mark Fensome of 50Cycles to enquire about buying two Kalkhoff Sahel electric bicycles for me and my wife and ended up buying two Riess and Müller Tinker bicycles. I did a lot of internet research on a range of electric bikes and I had a good idea of the kind of specifications that I wanted. Mark was exceptionally helpful and he patiently listened to me describe my requirements. He offered me a compelling deal, it was a little more than we had planned to spend, but we were soon persuaded when we took the bikes out for a test ride in Shoreham. It was Charles who helped us at 50Cycles in Shoreham answering all our questions and adjusting the bikes to fit perfectly for our test ride. 50 cycle knows electric bikes

Ok, so if you want to be spoken to like dirt then 50cycles are the company for you!! Bought an e-bike from them 11th December 18, had no contact from them until I emailed them once on 17th to ask for an update, someone rang me and delivery date arranged. Bike came on 21st, upon checking bike the battery would not lock in the frame and the bike could not be ridden as it would fall out and not been built st shop. No rim tape for tubeless set up either as it had been left out. Rang Loughborough shop on 21st for advice and spoke to a staff member who really couldn’t care less and as he wanted to go home for Xmas. With an attitude I was told to sort it myself and that there shouldn’t be rim tape (manual shows you should have rim tape to go with the sealant to go tubeless). I was told the battery should be moving around a bit but not as much as it was! I had to take the bike to a local bike shop to get it sorted which cost me a small amount of cash, something which should of been done in the shop and as stated on the website with their ‘fully built bikes’ statement. My local bike shop were amazed that the bike had come in the state it did and showed me the same bike in their shop with the battery tight in the frame and how it should be and stated it’s lucky the battery wasn’t damaged. I emailed 50cycles to ask if they would pay the small fee for the lock adjustment which they should of done anyway on the brand new bike I just paid £1800 for then had to take to a LBS to get sorted and this was the response from them! eBay New message from: electricbikeman50 Look mate not sure if you was born an id@ot or you at to work really hard to get to your level. You have had a bike for £1200 off and you are whinging about a £20 adjustment. Just send it back life is too short to deal with stingy pr@cks like you. Kind regards 50cycles Reply As you can see a charming message actually from 50 cycles owner who confirmed he had sent the message in a phone call. 50cycles couldn’t care less about their customers. It seems £1800 doesn’t qualify to be spoken too with an ounce of respect or decency. According to 50 cycles owner he first claimed initially because I had sent 1 email asking for an update on when the bike would be despatched I rushed them into posting the bike to me which is the reason they didn’t build it and left it in an un useable state needing money spent to rectify it. Apparently 11 dec to 21st December to alter a lock which is in front of them isn’t enough time and is pressuring? I asked for an update as I had just spent £1800 and heard nothing from 50cycles for 6 days! The owner then rang me and told me straight that the reason the bike was sent out in a poor state and not built was because I had such a bargain they thought I could sort it myself as it wasnt worth their time building it due to the price I paid-contrary to all bikes being built advertised on their website and standard practice among every other reputable bike retailer. 50cycle are poor, the customer service is poor, the staff are poor and then get very aggressive when the customer is right and they have your money! 50 cycles, the owner is rude and horrible with matching staff.

50 cycles was recommended to me by a work colleague and they didn’t disappoint We went to Loughborough to have a look around and get some info The gent there was extremely friendly and helpful even though he was dealing with 2 other customers at the same tine We were allowed to test ride the bikes and I soon fell in love with a particular make and model I didn’t buy it on the day but have since purchased and it is fantastic I would thoroughly recommend 50 cycles for the purchase of e bikes

Travelled along way up to Loughborough via a very congested M42 wondering whether my journey was going to be "fruitful" or just another bike shop.But after 2hrs travelling I walked into the showroom, said my name and immediately was made very welcome by Martin.I'd not made up my mind as to what type of bike I needed but Martin immediately displayed the appropriate "machine" he thought would fit me and suit my needs.Through a process of ilimination and to suit my size and the depth of my pockets and without any in "you face type" sales patter, Martin correctly steered me in the direction of their fabulous Reise and Muller range This bike definitely attracted me and guess what..!! a positive decision was made and a purchase executed.So thanks again Martin for a professional approach to a successful sale on behalf of 50 Cycles Electric Bikes in Loughborough and a very satisfied customer.
