arrange with " 50 CYCLES " to try out the bike that I want, liked it, ordered it, and it turned up when they said it would, very happy with their service, been riding the bike since, with no problems. they do not forget you, the after sales help is good. they did not put me under any pressure to buy it. relaxed atmosphere. I now feel like Superman, when going up hills.

I bought a Kalkhof after being allowed some very useful trial rides around Richmond during which I gained confidence that I could use it for precision measurement of road running races. Steady riding in straight lines is essential even when there are steep hills. It has proved to be a machine ideally suited for my application, and has enabled me to continue measuring marathons in to my later 70s.

I have been using 50 Cycles for 5 years now, that's 1 replacement motor; 1 new battery and 1 replacement NuVinci controller. Throughout all, excellent response and assistance. A good company, shame it's so far away!

I have had my Electric bike now for about 5 years. It’s the best bike I have ever had. It’s a kalkoff E series. The Company I bought it from was 50 cycles. They were brilliant also the after sales ,ordering the bike was easy to do on line,it was delivered in to days. Can’t fault the service. Excellent.

After sales service in my case was absolutely non existent. I purchased a kalkhoff premium belt from 50cycles . The adjustment Allen key screw on the handlebar stem was seized solid. I ended up drilling it out. I asked 50cyclesif they could assist with a replacement screw but got no help at all from them. I would definitely not recommend anyone to buy a bike by mail order from 50cycles. Once they have your money, they are not interested.

I bought my kalkhoff electric bike 6 years ago and it's brilliant. I also bought a new battery more recently. Would recommend!

Excellent bikes. Still on original batteries on both bikes after 8 years of occasional use. Motor problem on one bike repaired by 50 cycles FOC aprox 1 year after purchase.

I bought my Kalkhoff Tasman Impulse 8 speed Nexus, 11Ah from 50 cycles in Spring 2016. Following a test ride. I was served by a young lady who was a student doing a year out who had not been there long. I asked some questions but she was unable to answer them except to tell me to run the battery flat once only to get the best out of the battery. I got the answers to my questions on line and when I enquired about battery memory and charging I emailed Derby Cycles in Germany who told me to flatten the battery 3 times when new then every 6 months.which I do now. I have ridden my Kalkhoff 8,000 miles since Mar 2016 and enjoyed every mile. The best bike I have ever owned in the last 40 years of cycling. Never had to take it back as I do the servicing myself including new chains, sprocket, chainring, and Nexus 8 relube every 2,000 miles ***** bike , *** customer info

We bought 2 Kalkhoff Sahel i8 bikes from 50Cycles in Shoreham. The buying experience was pleasant and Charles was helpful. However, we soon discovered faults with the bikes: The main problem was that the handlebars were unstable. We had chosen these bikes because the handlebars and pedals fold but the instability became a serious issue. There were other issues, the lights did not work on one bike, the gear change is not always smooth as suggested in the advertising, the pedals 'clonk', apparently they are cheap pedals.. and so on. We took them back to Shoreham and were without them for some weeks as they had to be returned to Kalkhoff. When we received them back, after a short while we found that the problems persisted. Our disappointed relates to the very poor service from this point. Our telephone calls received no response, we received no replies to emails. We were given no advice as to what to do. Having spent £4,200 we expected good service and good bikes. We have two Bromptons which have never given problems and the Cube bike I had before worked perfectly. In frustration we resorted to legal advice which suggested that we ask for a full refund. I did this but again I didn't even receive a reply! Eventually, I took our expensive new bikes to Halfords who seem to have fixed the problems, though the handlebars and seats have to be fastened so tightly that they certainly can't be termed 'quick-release', we have to struggle! The bikes are now acceptable but by no means as good as we had hoped. John

Great bike but delivery very poor, £10 packaging for a £1500 bike. First bike sent back, second bike collected from Bristol shop. Great treatment from customer care in shop, no problems with bike only with payment machine. This was not working and had to try another method of payment.

Excellent service with the ability to try out the bikes out of doors before we made a decision about purchasing We have been delighted for a number of years now with the bikes that we bought
