I don’t know even where to begin. The desktop version of their trading app is broken. I understand that all quotes and info are 15 minutes delayed like in the mobile app. However, that is the tip of the iceberg in terms of how unintuitive the desktop version is, and straight-up buggy. There are times where it won’t display how much money you have, how would I even know how much I can buy if that is the case? There are cases where it will show me stocks I've already sold. Sometimes the program straight up doesn’t allow you to buy or sell your stocks and throws error messages. How can ANYONE trade like this, and how is this a problem that exists for a program that handles other people’s money? I’ve never had this problem before with anything else. I’ve lost money in trades before, but if I'm losing money on a trade, it should be because of me, and my decision. It shouldn't be decided by technical errors or bugs. I’ve been calling for weeks about issues about the inability to trade some of my stocks. I’ve lost SO MUCH money because of this, and still, no one picks up the phone. What makes it worse is that after waiting long periods of time, I will get hung up. All I want is to speak to someone and get my money back. I warn any ANY user right now if you use Wealthsimple. You run the risk of being unable to buy or sell your stocks, especially anything that is very active. I can’t speak for the mobile app, but the desktop version is a buggy mess, and from what I’m seeing, I’m not the only person that has been affected by this. Wealthsimple if you are reading this. I really hope you guys get your act together because errors like these are costing a lot of your customers time and money. Also, get more CSRs, it seems to be echoed here, and everywhere else. How can we get help, if we cannot even reach you? How can we even trust you to help us, if we cannot reach you?!
Brilliantly easy to use and track your investments. Customer support has always been great for me - always quick to respond and complete requests no problem. Returns are higher than the other solutions I've used to
Total garbage do NOT invest with these clowns they hold your funds for 2 weeks after depositing I had to get my bank to reverse the transfer and then WealthSimple sent me a email stating there would be a "sur charge" unless I re contacted my bank and them make the deposit. Total schmucks also their platform only allows you to invest in BTC and ETH if you're interested in crypto. STAY AWAY, far better platforms out there.
I use their robo advisor and their trade app. Both work great. Has enabled me and my family to save and invest at our place. Looking forward to seeing how they grow their product.
Customer Service is absolutely terrible, ive been trying to get intouch with someone about canceling a deposit and now its already gone through.
Trying to work with them but their website and their mobile app and their lack of customer support has made it impossible to transfer funds. I am out before I ever got started.
After a 7 minute wait on hold .Emily from Wealthsimple help desk was friendly, fast and efficient. She was very patient and as a result I was able to access my account again in only a couple of minutes. Cheers Emily!
I have been a customer of Wealthsimple for 4 years. In June 2020, I made the decision to transfer my money to another institution. Despite numerous emails and calls, it is March 2021 and I *still* have not been able to transfer my account. That is despite multiple attempts to submit rollover paperwork -- including one time notarized and one time with a medallion signature from my bank. Wealthsimple does not respond to calls and every email response is the same -- they claim they never receive the paperwork despite confirmation it was received by UPS. I would not trust this business.
Overall, wealthsimple seems fine, even though i have yet to see any gains - but thats to be expected and i know i wouldnt do much better on my own. That said, they NEED to hire some customer service staff. I've been trying to coordinate a deposit into a WS account for 2 months. And I just received notice that WS never even initiated the transfer yet. Now I am on hold and will be for so long and I know they will simply hang up on me. That seems really unacceptable.

Simple, secure not without risk although your can choose what levels of risk you wish to take. Is explained simply, monitored and you can watch your money grow. I only wish I'd invested with them sooner.
Worst customer service. All of a sudden my accounts are not available on my portfolio, and I'm losing money unable to sell my positions. I've been on the line trying to get a hold of them for hours now. This is very unacceptable for a financial services company. Ironically, they are very fast to respond to bad reviews here, with some pre-made scripts.
Complete garbage customer service. I sent a support email almost 2 weeks ago and have not received a single response. I tried calling their customer service line over 10 times and couldn't even connect once. (They just tell me they can't get to me after around the 30 minute mark and automatically hang up on me) The irony is that during the wait the automated message would tell me to rate their service......
Trying to transfer money from my bank account into a Wealthsimple RRSP. Funds still not transferred after almost a month. No response to my emails to customer support except for an email with a ticket number. Can’t get through to anyone by phone. This company has a big chunk of my money and I can’t get hold of them. Very disconcerting. I understand that their fees are lower than some institutions but without basic customer support they are useless. Would not recommend.
At the beginning of signing up I didn't have access to customer support and I was very uneasy about the service. Just now customer support called me 2 weeks later, but the call was great. I got context for the investment, training on how to manage it and overall I feel much better working with this comapny.
Absolute disaster. I made a small deposit to see how it would go what a joke. Several days later I buy crypto sell crypto and they still haven't released the funds 6 days later so I could trade again. Missed a triple on LITT . Do not put money in this joker site. I'm now waiting 3 more days for a transfer to my personal account so I can close this crap which will likely take another 2 weeks. Pathetic
Been a customer since Sept 2020, so far so good. Looking at return of 7-8% on investment to date.
The staff are friendly. However, I lost a lot of money with their stocks and shares isa. When I tried to speak to someone about changing my portfolio type, I had to wait 2 weeks. In that time I decided to pull my money out and invest elsewhere.
I am LOOSING MONEY EVERYDAY since I have signed up. I can't neither buy nor sell - my accounts are greyed out - so I can't timely exit my positions. Been calling/emailing them 7 days in a row - nothing, they just don't reply. Been waiting on a phone 30-40 minutes before getting disconnected. I am under impression that there is no organized customer service. Very disappointed... I am on the verge of contacting the regulator.
Not happy at all with the withdrawal process . It’s been two weeks now . I’ve tried many times to speak with someone over the phone . Hours waiting only to be disconnected or I’ll get the recording saying that there is high volumes to try again later ..... I’ve tried calling the minute the office opens , I’ll wait and wait .... again, high volumes and I’ll get disconnected . Very very frustrated with the process as I need the money , obviously .... Two weeks of patiently waiting and still nothing . This service is not good at all..... For anyone who wants to reduce their funds in a respectful time , I would steer clear of this app..... Truthfully , in all my life I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review ... This is the first time where I am not satisfied with wealth simple and their service and I am a pretty easy going person .
