Run for the hills. This company is sneaky. Hidden fees and have a hard time finding buyers for your stocks. You can try to sell but the buyers are not out there for Wealthsimple. Stay away from this investment company.

Wealthsimple offered a cash incentive to transfer my crypto onto their exchange. I attempted to do so but they only let that happen through their app, not through their website. Seems kind of clunky, much like their website. Can't say that I trust them with much more than a small amount of $$.
Wealthsimple has really been picking up their socks .. latest up dates are —option trading ( little tricky because the call and put action as well as the date for the length of the contracts are the blue lines at the top when you enter the option. - crypto coins ( also the ability to send or receive from an outside wallet) some staking ( etherium and solana but like I mentioned you can transfer to an outside wallet to stake what they don’t offer) - up to 20,000 instant transfer - pre paid credit card with a 1 percent return to crypto or stocks or cash - managed investments or self regulated - rrsp , tfsa, personal , crypto - zero charge to buy stocks , 1.5 percent to buy crypto or sell , 1 percent fee on managed stocks What they are missing … loans , mortgages.. they had that and I happily move all my business over there .. and their math on over all investments is weak but we can deal with that ..
Trash company. Week ago I open account and I get block at then end of day due to suspicious activity. I call cline success and upload my bank statement. Explain every single detail but STILL get blocked. Stay away from this company
Customer service is REALLY bad. Emails sent, no answers, no replies. Tried calling? After on hold for about 35 minutes, message that all agents are busy and call later!!!
Been using this app to do my taxes for several years. Easy, simple and intuitive process. I highly recommend Wealthsimple Tax!!!
The worst trading application ever! I have put all my savings in there, now I cant loginto my account because I moved to U.S and no one answers and helps me getting my money back! Literally losing all my money! Do not put your money there
Update on account It's been almost 1 month now, several emails from different " team members" and no money returned yet, not surprising. Sent proof of accepted transfers, guess what, there amazing team of mathematicians cant add, shorting me 200.00. Stay away. Coinbace so much better.
Forcing share lending on customers should be a crime. NO I DO NOT WANT TO LEND MY SHARES OUT. they are lending you shares to be sold short and allowing retail to become the bag holders. If you want what's best for your finances stay away from Wealthsimple.
Don't Believe the positive reviews, this app is fine until its not and when it is it is too late. Customer service will not give me access to my own company group RESP And customer service tells me they fixed the problem check back in 48 hours have opened support tickets and closed them a week later with no updates. I'm in hell trying to move my own money. They've been stringing me along for over a month. This isn't worth the hassle don't use wealth simple if you can avoid it.
WS didn't compute properly the average price of one of my stocks.I thought I was averaging down.I lost money!
Wealthsimple has quite possibly the most unresponsive and unhelpful team imaginable. I have been trying to transfer part of an account there for a month and cannot get a response from them. They also do not respond to the requests from the transferring FI. Such a gross company:
Sad service. Bad insiders. Cocky employees. Put money on my weathsimple card then the next day is was removed and neither my account nor my bank recieved the funds. Lied and said funds were not approved. Even though I have an email saying they were. Customer service said they sent me an email, they did not. Have the evidence. Then 100$ went missing and they sold a stock without consent or contact.
Be carefull about wealthsimple, he says no commission but he charge on the price, i try to buy UFC and i program to buy at 0.81 , the price on the site is 0.80 and i refresh the price for be sure , and he charge me 0.87 , samedi think with PTN the price on the site and yahoo finance is 0.31 and i program to buy at 0.32 and he charge me 0.45$ , on yahoo the price is 0.31 , and this week-end i have à bug 10000$ actions on my site and i program to sell and the système ajust the price Just before i sell , i lose money because the error systems, you have often problem with your wealthsimple account ???
Frais caché j'avais un gain de 6% sur une petite transaction de 300$ u.s (je suis au courant des 1.5% de frais sur le taux de change) je suis aller vérifier le taux de change (us à cad) 1.34 eux m'ont donner 1.318.Je suis extrêmement déçu.Cest du vole pur et simple.

Bonne application. Ca vaut la peine d’aller voir la section les gagnants et les perdants les meilleurs action américaine, canadienne. Ces outils donne une bonne aperçu des opportunités à saisir.Parcontre il y a un petit décalage de temp sur le prix direct des actions.Pour remédier au petit décalage j’ouvre une autre fenêtre et je regarde le prix des actions en direct sur Google ou marketwatch.Je conseille Wealthsimple
I have a cash card with Wealthsimple however I have been locked from using my funds 2 separate times within only a few months of keeping my money with them. It’s been inconvenient and annoying to deal with as the first time it took a few days to resolve and second time trying to have this fixed they hung up on me.
A technical error on their end wound up costing me $1200 in tax penalties, and the company refused to even acknowledge that anything had gone wrong. I made a deposit that was calculated to max out my TFSA contribution room for the year. A month later, somehow the system automatically made the same deposit again. Needless to say, this put me over my contribution room for the year and resulted in heavy tax penalties as well as damage to my credit rating. When I contacted customer service to address the issue, they insisted that I had made the second deposit myself. Trying to take the conversation any further than that was simply like talking to a brick wall. They insisted that their tech logs showed that I had made the second deposit, and refused to investigate any further.
