I've used many platforms, WealthSimple, Questrade, and multiple Canadian banks. WealthSimple is by far the easiest to use of all of them. And they keep innovating and getting better. For the average person, who's not a wall street day trader, they are the best option. No fees, lots of choice of types of accounts, good tax service. As of the writing of this review, the only account type they don't have that I would like is self-directed RESP.

Poor Customer Service.

I would not recommend using Wealth Simple for Crypto trading. They have high fees (2%) vs. .02% NDAX, for instance, and long holdouts of your money. I deposited 15,000 and did not have access to it for 8 days. On other sites, the deposits are approved within 30 minutes or less, regardless of the amount. They also have a hold and limit your ability to transfer crypto or download it to another wallet. Dont waste your time and money and go with other much better services.

Sabrina from Wealthsimple spoke over me, yelled at me, and told me the clients don’t mean anything to Wealthsimple, and declined to reimburse two claims totalling nearly $1,200 because she said “my story was changing” regarding what occurred with the fraudulent transactions (two) that took place on my account in December. I followed Wealthsimple’s formal process informing them of these fraudulent transactions, and had to call every time for updates. Today (February 14th 2025) Sabrina from WealthSimple taught me an important life lesson. Never let the inmates run the asylum. She should be fired, Wealthsimple should honestly give up already in general (see their other reviews not only in trust pilot but elsewhere) disgusting.

My account was restricted for no justifiable reason and their customer support refuse to respond to me for weeks. I would have lost my life if it wasn't for firm in name sectio n. Well folks I would like to tell you what happened to me so if you are looking to join Wealthsimple I would suggest you stay away and don't waist your time ok because they act like they are here for you and will always be there for you ya right up your ass see i have been with them just before Christmas snd long story short someone they don't give a shit about you or anything to fo with

It's been weeks, and I am still locked out of my account. Every time I am supposed to regain access to my money, there's another unexpected delay. No clear reason, support no easy to reach, they just keep saying it's under assessment. no one gives me a clear reason or timeline. It's always, we are working on it. If deposits go through instantly, why can't withdrawals. I shouldn't have to fight to get my own money. This whole process has been frustrating. Definitely not a platform anyone should trust. I never have to deal with nonsense delays or endless excuses with, PWG, withdrawals are processed quickly and without hassle, just how it should be. If you are tired of platforms making you jump through hoops to access your own funds, this is the way to go.

I wish someone had warned me before I invested. They lure you in with flashy tokens and promises, but when it's time to withdraw, they block you with endless delays and excuses. They locked me out instead of unfreezing my account. Support is very useless, they take their time to reply. now I am stuck in a cycle of calls and hold music, watching my money disappear. Stay away. This is a disaster. I recommend, PWG, They are reliable and they pay consistently.

Not surprised about such a low rating. Market was tanking all weekend due to tariff wars. I sold my entire stock profile under market sell. 20 minutes into the open, my market sell did not trigger. I was watching the market tank and hundreds of thousands of trades go through and my WealthSimple did not trigger. I lost 10's of thousands of dollars as a result of their computers not working. One sell went through 40 minutes after open! Such a significant loss.

Great at Holding Money, Not So Great at Returning It So, apparently, using an email as a username is a genius idea—until your status changes, and suddenly, you’re a ghost in their system. I’m in Canada and had an account from my work permit days, way before the pandemic. Created another one recently while searching for about 5K CAD, which seems to have magically disappeared. Four months of chasing, and still no resolution. I get it—you don’t have a physical office, and that’s totally fine. All I ask is a simple verification: check my documents, confirm it’s me, and release my funds (even if it’s down to 4K now). I promise never to bother you again—just let me have what’s mine.

I rated this company 1 star for several reasons: - they charge high fee for crypto trading. - they charge very high fees for staking your cryptos which others companies don’t. - they suggest you to transfer your digital assets in small quantity first to make sure you send to right wallets. But after that when you send large amounts, they block you forever for “unusual activities”. - they don’t have support on weekend. - it takes them forever to unblock restrictions even after all requests from them were met.

Probably the most consumer-friendly investment platform I've used. The app is simple and intuitive, the fees are low to none for everyday use, and they keep adding new features.

They look for excuses to lock your account and sit on your money as long as they can because they know the complaint and resolution process in the financial industry is slow. Stay away. 30 days in, account still locked, no communications from Wealthsimple on why locked or how to resolve.

If I could give -10 stars I would sold moonshot coin (on solana network) and sent to a solana wallet on Wealthsimple ,I see it was successful ,but they are telling me they don’t support usdc even if it’s a solana network ,I wish I used my trust wallet,horrible company /experience

I started using their platform in 2020. I'm thrilled with their service. Customer support is outstanding. I have opened three different accounts with them. I never had any problem with them. There are no fees when you buy stock and ETFs. I will continue using their platform, so I also referred this company to many friends.
