Worst company to deal with Customer service 0 If you put big chunk in it for investment they charge with percentage for example for investing 8k canadian they charge 600$ fee and for withdrawing again they charge ,Don't invest if you are investing big but for investing couple of hundreds it is not bad
So far my experience has been nothing but great! Having used other banks in Canada, WS is by far the best. Easy to use the app/site, straightforward to invest and move around money, and a great interest rate on their cash account (currently 3.5% vs other banks that offer a fraction of that at most). Would highly recommend.
The fact this is one of few Canadian options to buy Crypto currency and they charge 2% on the buy and sell is insane. I am an active trader with a $100,000 portfolio. That means if I want to buy $100,000 of Bitcoin I am paying $2,000. Just today I entered a position and got closed out due to a stop loss which cost me $4,000? Interactive Brokers charges 0.25% per trade on the balance yet Canada's anti business government policy didn't let them in. Happy trading getting absolutely robbed by WS.
Will give a zero if I can select. I tolerance the trading service down while the market volume is high. I also have to tolerance the worst customer service, they are not able to resolve any issues rather than wasting your time.
Best bank in Canada by far and I’ve tried pretty much every one. Only downside is the no physical location for the few times in your life you need a physical cheque or bank draft.
I have been a client of wealthsimple for about 6 months and I want to share my experiences: 1. It is easy to use 2. It is expensive for Crypto trading 2+2=4% 3. It is very difficult to transfer money back to your bank account, they create artificial impediments (I have sent void checks a few times and they don't like the color, format or I don't know what, I'm thinking of calling a lawyer) 4. I don't recommend
This is the worst platform for trading I've used so far and the support service is terrible and not client oriented. I've experienced various glitches and technical problems both on their app and website and have incurred a lot of financial loss due to their slow and faulty platform and when I ask for compensation, the only response they give is they're not responsible and liable for the technical issues as stated in the contract. So, beware of this before using their platform.
The high intrest rate and rewards are pretty sweet. Them losing your money and declining any responsibility sucks. I'm sorry BMO I'm coming back, your rewards and intrest rates suck but atleast you never LOST MY MONEY!
J'ai deux bons mots à dire La requête que j'avais déposée auprès de la direction a été entendue et réglée pour le mieux.
They put in a etransfer request without my authorization. When I tried to withdrawal money it took a month of running through obstacles to get it. Very shady company. Do not deal with them.
If you have a rural address forget about easy sign up or transfers. When speaking to the rep he stated that his team informed him that my address was not valid. I stated that my address was valid, and that I could take a picture of the sign at the end of the driveway if needed. I live on a farm and have an address sign based on the dominion land survey system which the Wealthsimple platform and Wealthsimple staff seem to be completely incapable of understanding making sign up for the app and transferring money into the app an absolute nightmare. I would give zero stars if it were an option.
Rewards are a SCAM Why even put a load of rewards such as GIGS and the have it not available for users? It just says coming soon. Why even say people are eligible for things that are false and unattainable?
I have been with Wealthsimple over two years. The customer service was great and helpful until June 2024. Don't know what happened to the supporting group. The current customer service is a joke, it looks like they have problem in the internal communication and management. The online chat CSRs don't have the product knowledge at all, rude, their answers are not relevant to the questions, or just wrong. The phone support CSRs are kicking ball, no commitment, slow respond, ineffective back office communication, eventually the problems still can not be resolved after a few weeks. I am gonna say goodbye to WS asap.
poor communication and support. What's even more annoying is they give all sorts of excuse as to not pay the bonus you're entitled to. This is very shady and all elements of their action point to it.
I wish I could give a zero star rating. Anyone contemplating switching please please listen to every review that says to avoid this investment company. After stealing our life savings and closing our accounts left my husband and I with nothing. My husband took his own life over this , shame on this company taking hard working people’s savings and leaving them with nothing
I had a problem with transferring money by interac to and from my cash account. Sarah, first and then Manan, investigated, helped and escalated the problem to a software engineer who identified the glitch and solved the problem expeditiously. Contrast this with the Kafka-like experience I am having at CIBC who have provided me with no less than two bank cards that won't work at ATM's but function fine at merchants. I have tried to get one of their CS people to acknowledge that there is a glitch-that word-again in their system, but they refuse to accept that. This nonsense has been going on for nearly two months. Wealth Simple customer service gets a well-deseerved five stars from me.
I have over $100k with wealthsimple and $20k in my cash account. I tried to do a transaction for $9,900.00 and it was denied even though I had way more in my cash account. I called in to have the limit of $5000.00 raised for the transaction but was told it was not possible. I ended up processing the transaction through another bank cc. My opinion is if Wealthsimple does not trust me spending my money why should I trust them with my money. I could understand me having to call in to pre authorize a large transaction but to not even have that option makes me wonder how secure is Power Financial the owners of Wealthsimple. I am premium with them but I think I will not put more on deposit with them.
I’ve been with Wealthsimple since 2018 and I love their platform. It’s much more better than what any Canadian banks have to offer. The only downsize is that their “premium” support service didn’t feel premium at all to me. I had a simple question and my case had to be escalated to get the correct response. I suspect badly trained rookie support agents, but the “manager” or whoever it was when it got escalated was 👌 👌 👌
Horrible company They did not even honor its promise and Its return from advisor is so low Do not use them avoid wealthsimple “Register” and “sign up” both have the same meaning. The term “register” tends to be used predominantly in British English, whereas “sign up” is preferred in American English.Jul 27, 2018 as you can see from google search Sign up and register mean same things. When I signed up to become wealthsimple customer I thought i am registering for 1 percent bonus match and referral bonus. they denied while someone i referred got money and bonus
