I'm very satisfied with the website, accounts, etc. The three stars are due to a very glitchy, basically nonfunctional way Wealthsimple connects with the personal accounting/budget apps. As self-employed, I rely on those apps for my household accounting, and it's very frustrating to lose transactions from WS suddenly or to enter them manually. I don't understand how virtually every other bank can work nicely with budget apps. It seems to me like a trivial problem to solve.

I've had a Wealthsimple account for more than 7 years and it's done well through all the financial market turmoil. It feels like a calm "up and to the right" investment tool. I cannot speak to the call in customer service everyone is complaining about because I have found everything I needed online with them.

I would put zero For almost 2 weeks my settlement trades have been 5 business days till liquid cash settlement It’s supposed to be t+1 trade day plus 1 business day I still don’t have an answer nor my $$$

So i lost my trust as being a trader since 10 years first time I am facing such situations and it stressed me a lot. I was able to get my 16k back with the help of a firm introduced to me online. There advance techniques, including filling legal claims, made it possible getting everything. Subject headline, @ , GMa!l then end .com . I will advice everyone to stay vigilant

Really easy interface for a beginner and easy to open up accounts and start trading. Being able to buy fractional shares is a massive plus.

I recently opened a TFSA account at Wealthsimple and my Money is now frozen for 5 business days. I find freezing people's money for 5 business days a bit too long. On average, it takes 2 days days for a bank to transfer Money and as soon as the Money is transfered, you can have acess to it. But apparently not at Wealthsimple.And I am talking about a few hundred dollars, not thousands or millions. It is very deceiving

1 star because negative isn't an option. Can't sell my crypto keep getting g error messages online and on app. Tech support was notified 2 hours ago. There's nothing they or anyone can do cant even close account. My miney is lost.

Completely waste of time. Their support team are the worst. They don’t have an idea how to resolve customers issue and keep delaying the issue. You might have to wait for weeks or months and sometime even after the months the issue is not resolved. I just want to close my account. It’s been more than a month and now they have locked my account for no reasons. I my trying to deposit the money to my FHSA before 31st, so I tried multiple times to cover my $8000 limit. But they blocked it and even after I submitted all the documents, every time you call their customer service they have just one answer for you “we are working on your account” that’s it. Such a bullshit platform. Please everyone get their customer service review before you opt in.

While it could be a good starting point for kids with $2,000 to get acquainted with this domain, I don't find it to be a serious platform to rely on. It has many flaws, and both the website and app are quite poor. In my experience, it's not worth the effort. I've been with them for more than four years now, mainly to take advantage of the promotions before moving on.

Absolute worst customer service, the bank is not safe for investments, it’s a scam company.. my account was compromised and they treated it as if I owed them money and wouldn’t release my. Money. the company is definitely not what it’s been advertised to look like I’ll never refer anyone to bank with them this I’m beyond disgusted with my service with this bank

A company that operates with terrible customer service and little expertise. I moved all my funds when they froze my account so to "minimize my losses" preventing me from buying crypto. Funny thing was my account was up 33 percent. After spending 5 days and a total of almost 10 hours on the phone I got no answer as to why. The fall back answer was always they follow government protocols. A Mickey mouse company run by incompetent people.

Absolute nightmare company completely untrustworthy to the utmost. They unfreeze then freeze your accounts like they belong to them. Like your money doesn't belong to you. They deceive and NEVER give a truthful answer. I spent days on hold trying to close several accounts and there is a complex web of deception and what seems to be a pattern of business to keep everyone from leaving the bank they make it as difficult as possible to remove your money and go elsewhere.

The agent that I spoke with concerning my withdrawal issues was not helpful at all. She struggled to speak well and could not understand what I was saying. I have been with WS for more than 2years and I never enjoyed them. I moved to So Lick, & withdrawal there is like breeze; I wonder why they cant be like that here

very difficult to connect to proper department everytime u call and get transferred to different department. accunt opening process and verification of documents not very clear and no numner to call them frustrating to open account

At this time and age, I never platforms like this would still be allowed to function. What are the authorities doing about it? Half my retirement money all gone. Don't be the next victim. If I hadn't invested the other half of my pension with-equitypathway, I would be in a very dire financial situation right now. They never miss a beat with my payment.

Stay clear of this outfit. Transferred money 2 weeks ago and sent my ID verification documents at the same time that I opened my account. Still waiting for ID verification. I have spoken to them every day, escalated the case and every time the support team can't resolve a thing. After wasting 2 weeks, numerous hours on the phone, I have decided that I would retrieve my money and cancel my account. Not so easily done! Customer service has been useless and although , my money is my account, it appears that Wealthsimple has taken ownership and won't let me move it out. I am ready to file against them in small claims court. You are well advised to look elsewhere. This is a joke of a company that will frustrate the hell out of you

Scam! I am trying to sell my shares when price has gone by big value. Wealthsimple has disappeared my shares not letting me sell my shares. Phoned customer support and the employees know this. Do not invest!

A complete disappointment, they excel in creating glitches that make trading/investing a nightmare. Prices displayed for stocks are often incorrect leading to confusion about profits and losses. I lost money many times due to this inaccurate data. The app frequently crashes or doesn't work at all, and all they do is apologize. To top it of they charge outrageous fees,. Avoid this app if you value your money and sanity
