Had an incredible first balloon flight from the Telford launch site this morning with our pilot, Olly Stallwood. Wow! What an amazing experience from start to finish! The views were breathtaking and I was delighted that we flew over The Wrekin. The weather conditions were spot on! I flew with my Dad and Brother and it was our birthday treat for each other this year! We can’t wait to do it again! Thank you again to Olly and all the friendly ground crew for a once in a lifetime experience which was nicely topped off with a glass of bubbles at the end.

After many cancellations due to weather we finally got to do our Hot air balloon experience, and it really was worth the wait! We flew from Tiverton with Allie Pennington and her team and they were faultless. The nicest people with realms of experience, we could not have wished for a better or more capable team of people to be looking after us. Our take off site had to be changed due to the wind just as we got there but, Allie had already sorted somewhere else and off we went. At the new take off site we prepared everything but, it really was touch and go until the last moment due to wind and I believe it’s only because of Allies vast experience that we were able to take off , I was amazed and in awe of her capabilities and experience, and so was my husband. A truly amazing experience that Allie and her team gave us and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Allie Pennington is truly an inspirational lady and Virgin balloons are lucky to have her, thank you!

Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Graeme was very clear with his instructions and made the whole experience brilliant with his great sense of humour. Our photo was lovely and a memory we can keep forever. Thank you to the whole team that made our day.

The flight location was changed the night before and then changed again on arrival at the revised venue. Third time lucky and the weather was suitable for a flight. All part of the fun! We were all looked after extremely well and kept informed and made to feel part of the team. The quiet flight and the awesome views were even better than expected and highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic experience! Completely unexpected, so calm! And AMAZING views! A little stressful to book waiting on the perfect weather (including a trip to the site and it being called off last minute) but it was so worth it when it did go ahead!

What a morning ! The whole team were amazing and a 6am flight across Rutland Water was just magical.

This was my second time but the first for my Dad who is 83 and he was so impressed at the way the whole trip was organised and that there was a chance to participate in the whole thing. He has also expressed a wish to do another trip in the morning to get both experiences so we shall be booking with Virgin again very soon.

I wasn’t expecting much to honest when I sent an email asking for help regarding my balloon flight vouchers, but my query was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I’m very pleased with the outcome.

It took 3 years and many cancellations before I was able to take my balloon flight, but boy was it worth it!! The whole flight went smoothly. Our Captain Woody was knowledgeable and he, Luke and Ben worked together well as a team to ensure the best possible flight for everyone. The views were amazing, the landing was smooth....I was worried about that! the bubbly at the end was a fitting end to a wonderful experience. Thank you!

I have not been able to take up my Balloon flight due to bad weather and having an operation. The date was about to expire. Lynn read my email and promptly reset my voucher a further 18 months so hopefully I'll be able to take a trip later this year.

The day went well from beginning to end and was really well organised. We did one over The Hop Farm in Kent and had a great pilot called Damon. An excellent experience. Thank You !!!!

I needed to claim a refund. Thanks to the staff at Virgin Air Balloon my claim went through smoothly . Could not have asked for a better service. I believe some people have struggled to get a refund , this was not the case with my claim. Thanks again to Virgin staff.

The view was great and nice and peaceful up there and people were very funny, nice and they have taken care of us very well and the champagne was the best finish after the flight, thank you

If I could give no stars I would.. had the worst experience ever flying originally from Bristol Ashton court but it got moved to bath Newbridge on Sunday 28th July 2024 an evening flight. Weirdly our pilot we were suppose to have Steve Thomas doesn’t even seem to work there anymore?? We had someone stand in, which did ring alarm bells but I carried on. Wish i hadn’t now wish I’d stuck with my gut and not gone. On landing the pilot looked on edge & we had two massive bangs (I banged my head) and then we landed tipped over. I expected to tip over but the bangs were horrific, I felt like I’d been in a car accident. As soon as I got off, I felt so sick like I’ve never felt before, felt not right in the head, all the way back to Ashton court on the minibus I felt so so nauseous and I was seeing stars. Next morning I wake with a massive migraine I felt horrendous again, rang doctors they said go straight to minor injuries where I got diagnosed with minor concussion and a head injury & high blood pressure. This is not what I paid for & not what I expected out of a so called experience. Never ever again

An excellent experience, The ballon ride was phenomenal, views were spectacular, the ride was smooth, tranquil, couldn’t have wished for a better morning Special thanks to Mike the pilot, Sam his side kick and able assistant also Gary the mini bus driver

The day went well from beginning to end and was really well organised. William was a very good and proficient pilot and his team very helpful and efficient as well. It was a lovely surprise to get a glass of bubbly at the end too ! The whole experience was really good and I would definitely recommend this to others.

Highly recommend the Virgin balloon flight. We did one over Bristol and had a great pilot called Mike. The only thing that would help is if the website / info email gave more information on timings. eg. If you have a 6:30pm flight, be prepared that you might not get back to your car until 9:30pm (or maybe later)!

Was a wonderful experience, walking through the brambles when we landed was not the best but a prosecco at the end was worth it :-) Would definitely recommend.
