When needed, Therapy Notes support team will translate obtuse Reason Codes into logical, clear, and actionable steps where I was able to resolve billing issues. The team is well trained, talented and friendly. How refreshing! We have no regrets switching to Therapy Notes.

I have used Therapy Notes for 9 years. I have been more than happy with their services. Making a progress note is easy. Many sections of a note will repopulate. Reminders about Treatment Plan reviews are helpful. The program prompts are always helpful. When I have needed help, the specialists in their Help Line are knowledgeable, effective, supportive and very helpful. I have always had positive interactions. The standard monthly fee has been helpful, and very reasonable. I have used other EMR's which have not been user friendly, and have required irrelevant, or redundant documentation. They have been time consuming and extremely frustrating. I have a feeling of satisfaction using Therapy Notes which is a welcome experience as a run a therapy practice.
This is one of the worst jobs I’ve ever worked. When you see the poor reviews, please take note, read them and believe them. This company’s training is a waste of time. If you’re just looking to collect a check every two weeks then fine, otherwise don’t even consider this place. If you care about your mental health, this isn’t the job for you. They train you for about 6 weeks and give you a 70 question test as if you’re in school on the second week. They cram so much information in training that it stresses you, only to find out that what you’ve learned in training has nothing to do with your day to day duties. This company has failed to provide a healthy workplace environment. They throw you on the phone as if you’re just supposed to know what you’re doing even though they didn’t train properly to set you up for success. Not once did I feel confident with the material and neither did a lot of my colleagues in training. We would just fake it to get through. The day I walked away from this place was the happiest day of my life. When you have questions, instead of helping you or leading you in the right direction, a lot of the trainers and leads treat you as if you’re a burden for asking questions even though asking questions is so highly encouraged especially during training. They never give you a straight answer and will have you researching almost all day. There are a few good trainers however they’re overshadowed by the ones who provide no adequate assistance or by those who just read off the training PowerPoints we’re given. You’ll work a pretty decent schedule during training but after that, be prepared to be asked to work on weekends or late shifts since it is 24/7. The call volume isn’t terrible, however every call will be different and if you’re not provided with a good lead who has actively listening and is willing to help, you’ll feel like you’re drowning. I’d imagine the turnover rate is pretty high considering that the longest running lead has only been at the company for 2 years. The other leads are fairly new and have no idea how to properly assist. You every move will have to be put in slack (restroom, emails, lunchbreak, etc.) This company has potential, however potential is not the everyday reality. Trust me, you can find something better!
The customer service is the VERY BEST! Every staff member is helpful. They are constantly developing the software in a way that makes it easy and possible to run a successful and ethical business. Customer Service Rep Mike S helped me navigate some tricky billing steps and did so with patience and kindness.
Therapy Notes does an excellent job helping me to manage my solo private practice, handling notes, billing, etc. and also provides exceptional Customer Service which helps me to waste less time, feel less frustrated with all of the above. They are always available, literally 24 hours a day, always kind, informed, patient and thorough. In addition, TN is always iterating, listening to user feedback to offer what users are asking for to the best of their ability, making administration of our practices easier.
