I have bought many items from SUS and so last Monday I decided to buy a Baton Rouge 8 string. I had a call from Rob at SUS to let me know they had found a tiny nick on the body. We had a long discussion and I decided to have it delivered anyway. I must say, not only am I pleased with the uke, great sound and terrific value for money, but also the quality of service, once again was top notch. The instrument does have a tiny dink, this does not distract from the sound or overall quality. Rob also gave me a discount on a tuner and included a set of strings as a thank you. Once again, hreat service and quality goods from Southern Ukulele Stores. I would highly recommend them for all things Uke. Even a phone call to the shop brings plenty of sound advice and guidance. Many thank you all, keep up the informative videos as well. Will be back!

Malcolm here from New Zealand I decided after looking around the net a little to purchase a solid body electric Tenor Ukulele from the guys at Southern Ukulele. It was a pleasure dealing with the store re the purchase and freighting of the instrument, Communication outstanding. The instrument arrived all set up beautifully and ready to play. Unfortunately after nearly a year of playing the frets showed unusual wear. Warranty at 10 months, no problem, the guys there again went out of their way again to help with the problem now solved. Can’t speak highly enough of these guys (and gals). I have spent several hours in store, trying out many, many Ukeleles. Staff were endlessly patient, helpful and knowledgeable. The selection of ukes across all price ranges was mind-blowing. I have since bought two Ukelele from SUS, and have had strap buttons and pick-ups fitted. I am 100% delighted with my purchases, and with the service that I received. One of the ukes was sent to me by courier and arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Any e-mail queries have been answered quickly and entirely to my satisfaction. 10 out of 10 from me!

Brilliant, shop communication superb helpful and very quick. We identified what I needed, I bought it on website late Monday afternoom payed with PayPal which is good. Next day at 11:00 a knock at the door and a courier was there with my case. Highly recommended will use again.

Excellent Advice and Service. I rang to order some expensive uke strings and told them what they were for and they advised me to go for some others strings which would be considerably cheaper. In addition I told them I needed them urgently and 24 hours later they arrived and are on my uke and sound great ! Thank you

I purchased a left handed Ukulele Bass from them over the phone. The item subsequently delivered and was more than happy with it. Unfortunately it subsequently developed a problem whereby the Tuner and Pre-Amp didn't work. I can only say they could not have been more helpful and communicative in resolving the problem. I do no normally leave feedback but due to the excellent service I have received I have made an exception.

Had been wanting to buy a Kala KA ASAC T all solid Acacia ukulele for a while but none of my local music stores had one in stock or were prepared to order one unless I committed to purchase, sight unseen, which I was reluctant to do. I discovered that SU had several in stock and, after I explained that I was quite fussy about the look of the instrument, they were prepared to send me photographs of three of the best ukes to choose from and confirmed that the instrument would be set up correctly. I was helped in my choice by Rob who was extremely helpful and was prepared to spend time on the phone answering my questions and reassured me that all would be well. I received the ukulele today and am very pleased with it in all respects. I would have no hesitation in buying from them again or recommending anyone else to do so.

Put simply, S.U.S. is the TOPS. All the staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If you do happen to have a problem, then in my experience, they go the extra mile to get it right. I reside overseas, so unfortunately cannot inspect The Ukes etc. personally. So I have to rely on their expertise, which I cannot fault. This applies to everything from the smallest item to the high end instruments. And they don't try to sell you the most expensive item either, just good advice as to what they think is best for you and your situation. Then it's up to you. I'm now a really satisfied returning customer who has several beautiful Ukulele's, all purchased from them. So that says a lot. I would certainly recommend S.U.S. to anyone, especially the beginner who in my opinion couldn't get a better service ANYWHERE. I look forward to visiting the shop personally one day.

I had incredible customer service from Alex. I live in the United States and was searching online for baritone ukulele strings, gcea, with a low g. Southern ukulele store was the only place I seemed to be able to find them. But, it wasn't in U.S. dollars, and they didn't advertise shipping to the United States. I contacted them through email, and Alex made it happen! He was patient and answered all my questions, walked me through it! Really appreciate it!

I bought my new tenor ukulele: a Kala KA TEME from Southern Ukulele two days before Christmas. The communication from Alex was prompt, friendly and reassuring. The Uke was dispatched to arrive just after Christmas which I was fine about, due to the Christmas rush and the late order I wasn't expecting a Christmas delivery. I also know that they don't rush the instruments out the door but do a check and a set up. Imagine my delight when my little darling turned up on Saturday 23rd! The ukulele itself is lovely, flawless and set up beautifully! I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Southern Ukulele again. I find the website great to use, the prices competitive, and the quality and service superb, and only wish they were down in Exeter. I hope to visit one day as it is temptingly, not too far away.

Love this company - email a question and a full comprehensive response in under an hour every time. For those of us that have to rely on on-line ordering they are just superb. Ordered items which were delivered well packed and promptly. The staff are super knowledgeable, they don't make you feel daft asking what are probably quite obvious questions - Customer service is wonderful. Would not hesitate to recommend this company for all things ukulele.

FAST delivery: I bought a Tenor Ukulele and a Stagg case on the 01/12/2015, it was safely delivered 03/12/2015 WELL packaged: The Ukulele and case were very well packaged keeping them both safe, and also NOT too much packaging, which is environmentally friendly Helpful advice: I had no idea what I was doing, I was buying for someone else, and when I called the person I spoke to was patient, kind and really knowledgeable, and I knew what to order within a couple of minutes. FAST / EASY checkout: I could pay via PayPal, which is really useful as I did not have to enter all of my address details, making the checkout process quick and easy. GREAT Communications / Customer service: I received an order confirmation immediately and emails confirming dispatch, which day it would be delivered and another one on the day letting me know the exact hour it was to be delivered.I was also able to change delivery date / location online. I would highly recommend purchasing a Ukulele from The Southern Ukulele store, and accessories as well, the staff are easy to get hold of, helpful, knowledgeable, and listened to what I needed and help select exactly what you need from their large selection. I could not have hoped for a better shopping experience with the Southern Ukulele store and will be going back to them for all further Ukulele and accessories purchases, they are honest, helpful and offer a wide selection - what more can you ask for :-)

I was first made away of SUS by a contact at Omega Music who didn't stock the ukulele I wanted. SUS were incredibly helpful and I subsequently bought a Pono baritone uke from them. The ordering process was straightforward and delivery was fast. I've now ordered a Pono tenor uke from them and once again have found them to be incredibly efficient when answering queries sent by email and in then organising a fast despatch. The folks at SUS really do know their subject. Their website is a very easy to navigate and it's very easy to find what you're looking for. As their name implies, they specialise in ukuleles so don't go looking for Marshall amps with the mythical '11' on the volume control (although maybe a uke fed through an array of FX boxes and then a Marshall operating well beyond the pain threshold might well be an interesting challenge). Having said that, amongst the array of acoustic amps they sell, they DO also stock a 460 watt PA amp and also a few FX units . But on the whole, their main fare is ukuleles of every conceivable kind together with all the usual accessories. My wife is just happy that we live nowhere near SUS or I'd be waffling on even more about them. In short, then - if ukuleles are your thing, whether you're a newbie or an experienced player, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better dealer to go to. I happily recommend them without reservation. Update August 24th. 2016 - Have just placed a new order by telephone and, once again, received ultra-friendly and knowledgeable help. I had doubts about whether one particular type of case would be OK for the long-necked uke I wanted. Steve happily checked 3 cases for me until he was able to confirm that one choice was ideal. This really is a great company, staffed by folks who do all they can to help. There's only one thing to beware of .... there's a real risk of developing or aggravating UAS (that's 'Ukulele Acquisition Syndrome' for those who don't know). Through several instances of personal experience, I recommend them without reservation.

I ordered a tenor uke and case on the Saturday and on the Monday I received an email from Alex just double checking my order as I accidentally ordered a concert uke case. Great thinking and not just somebody doing their job. They even let me off the additional £1 cost, which again was a really nice touch as they now have me as a loyal customer. Btw, the uke arrived on Tuesday and is awesome! Even from Dorset to Cheshire it was still bang in tune :D Thanks guys
