I have just received the Flight Diana Soundwave, all very well packaged and fully setup. This is my fourth purchase over the years. I cannot recommend this store highly enough. In a world of companies like Amazon and cheap disposable goods (yes, ukuleles can fit in this category too) I can’t stress how important it is that we all support specialist retailers like SUS, which is easy to do considering how unbelievably excellent they are! If you want a proper instrument that is properly set up and has been through incredibly strict quality control then you NEED to buy your ukulele from SUS. It doesn’t matter what your price range is. These guys will sort you out with a well playing instrument right out of the box. I have bought several ukuleles from SUS and have been very impressed every time. My most recent purchase was a second hand (but originally sold new by SUS) aNueNue UT3K. This is an incredible tenor ukulele that I’ve been playing pretty much constantly since it arrived yesterday. I had to force myself to put it down before RSI set in leaving me unable to type this review! Alex and Rob are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They love what they do and are always happy to deal with any query. My ukulele arrived first thing the next day and was very well packaged. Although the uke was second hand it could well have been new it was in such good condition. Is this the uke to cure my UAS?? Probably not. I have come to realise UAS is a problem with me and not the ukes I buy. However, it will certainly keep it at bay for a while. Thanks again guys, I’ll be back in touch when my UAS takes hold again (so, in a couple of weeks or so 😊).

Just received my Ohana BK 70G and it's absolutely beautiful! Alex has been an absolute star these last few weeks (or more eek! I truly was beginning to feel like a stalker!), answering all my emails promptly and even recommending ukuleles he didn't even have in stock himself but pointing me to another ukulele store who did!! Unfortunately, I live three and a half hour driveaway but hopefully, when we are out of lockdown, I will be able to visit his store in person (using a pseudonym of course! LOL). I have recently purchased "another" ukulele from Southern Ukulele Store, a beautiful KALA KA-CEME ELECTRO ACOUSTIC EXOTIC MAHOGONY CONCERT. Due to Covid restrictions I had to buy on-line, but this is an easy and safe process with SUS. All questions about the instrument were answered before purchase, and even had the choice of 3, photos were sent so I could choose. My Uke arrived within 2 days by courier, really well packaged and safe. I can highly recommend SUS for any ukulele purchase.

I bought a Flight electric ukulele from SUS and their service and friendliness was outstanding. The first ukulele they sent was technically fine (beautiful in fact) but had quite light steel strings, and being a bit of a heavy handed fretter, this led to some intonation problems. So I discussed this with Phil and Alex at SUS who suggested I try it with some heavier gauge strings. Then, to make life easy for me, they put heavier gauge strings on the same model of ukulele at their shop and did all the other set up bits and pieces, posted it out to me, and had the courier take away the original ukulele at the same time. It suits my playing style much better and I was grateful for their advice and help. It was so nice to be served by people who clearly care about their customers and their instruments. Thanks.

I live in Australia and have just bought a ukulele from the Southern Ukulele Store. I knew of them from their helpful reviews and videos online, and buying from them has been an absolute pleasure. Rob and Alex were really great to deal with remotely (by email), the price they offered was competitive, and their customer service was fantastic. My ukulele arrived in Aus (beautifully packaged) within five days of payment. So easy and hassle-free. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again and I highly recommend their expertise and their customer care.

Having been bitten by the uke bug earlier this year, I felt it was time to upgrade from my daughters purple uke and so I found my way via google to SouthernUkuleleStore. The extensive range on offer mixed with the really informative YouTube demo videos helped me make my decision. Delivery was painless and I was kept up to date throughout. 5* will definitely buy from them again ( if my wife lets me).

My ukulele group recommended Southern Ukulele Store and I am so glad they did. The advice was excellent and the service second to none. Ordered on Thursday, delivered Sunday at 9.30 am. perfectly packaged and I am so thrilled with my Baton Rouge V2T8. I was unsure if I could play an 8 string tenor but I wanted to try. Alex suggested this instrument and I love it. Highly recommended.

As a relative 'newbie' it was good to know I was in safe hands! I've been watching their highly informative videos over the last year and finally got to place a ukulele order with them. They couldn't have been more helpful, offered sound advice and the uke (Flight Voyager Tenor) arrived with a low G string fitted, perfectly set up and ready to play out of the box - and it arrived very well boxed up, the next day! Will keep watching the videos, buying their string recommendations and hopefully, one day, another uke - when I can afford it!

A site to strongly recommend for several reasons: - They know what they are talking about, and precisely offer ukuleles that come out at all cheap, certainly but which have little interest as objects and as instruments ... - The shipments are HYPER treated and SUPER well packaged, the ukes are safe and fast (in three days on average between the order and the reception for France). -I acquired a Kamaka HF1, superb, flawless, with exceptional playability and sound !!! It's not the best for nothing ... -a double cream Rebet, with an irreproachable finish with a magnificent mango wood, with a surprising sustain, maybe a chouilla too crystalline out of the box ... but I have the impression that it is already changing a little, very comfortable and with a nice projection without reaching the Kamaka or Mon Martin SO Vintage, but very very correct. -a small Kala used all solid in Mahogani (SMH I think), a typical sound even if it does not play in the same court of course. I attach great importance to the construction of the ukuleles and I like that it is well constructed ... it is a pity that we do not find or more Spanish-style assembly for the neck-body junction, but behind this construction Martin offers the best with the dovetail, then Kamaka with a mortise tenon assembly, Rebel assembles I don't know how and Kala is with the fastest and cheapest trunnion they also use on the elite range but which is not the best ... The one-piece neck is fantastic on the Kamaka HF1, and the string placement slightly closer to the neck edge is a blessing! The handle is almost as pleasant on the Rebel ... the Kala is unfortunately made in three parts it is still much less beautiful ... Here on the internet we find everything good, less good and very very good. Usually people comment when things go wrong, I also think that we should thank and value the passionate traders who do their job remarkably. The photos are beautiful and correspond to your instrument, they break the butt to make test videos ... They are not good they are excellent! I recommend the site and I will surely recommend ... ukuleles at home! Gilles from France
