A big thank you to the team at the Southern Ukulele Store for my new tenor Breedlove Lu'au ukulele. This is my first tenor uke and, unable to visit the store, I found their YouTube demonstration videos very helpful in narrowing down my choice. The Breedlove won on its lovely sound. I much appreciated the time Rob spent on the telephone to discuss the ukuleles I had picked out and to answer my questions. Set-up and despatch was super-fast, it arrived the next day! Delighted with my new Uke!

Buying a ukulele is more than just buying a ukulele. Southern Ukulele Store is not easily reached from Belgium. So there is e-mail, a lot of e-mail. Those people know what they are talking about. Nuances in appearance, playability and sound are explained in great detail. With the 3 ukulele's I bought from them, the setup was more than fine. The pre and after sales service could not be better or friendlier. I don't see why I should give less than a 5.

All the staff at Southern Ukulele Store really go out of their way to assist with choice of Ukulele and are so knowledgeable. Have purchased several ukuleles from here and always been delighted with excellent quality of instruments and excellent customer service. Thank you 🎵🎶 Brilliant 😊

This is a fantastic shop. I’ve visited twice and the staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. More recently, I wanted to purchase a ukulele but was unable to come down due to lockdown. One member of staff arranged two soon meetings with me where he discussed the different options within my price range and demonstrated them all for me. once i’d ordered the model that seemed best for me, it was shipped free of charge the next working day. Great customer service and fantastic shop.

I recently purchased a Mananko Concert from SUS having seen Alex's YouTube videos. I live in Southern CA and working with both Alex and Rob was a pleasurable, professional experience. They were quite responsive to my many questions and no question was too frivolous to answer. The little uke is fantastic...great sound, great Mojo, and is a great addition to my collection. Having recently dealt with another ukulele shop and had problems I was worried about this transaction. I needn't have been as the SUS staff made it easy There is also great advice available in the many SUS YouTube videos, which are informative and interesting to watch and listen to.

Emailed SUS with a product query and received a helpful phone call in reply. Item I wanted was not in stock, but received a call and email when it arrived. Purchased over the phone and received a well packaged parcel a couple of days later. New purchase adored by my very grateful 17 year old ukulele-playing son! Extremely patient and knowledgeable as you would expect. I wanted something a little unusual (A baritone ukulele tuned as a tenor due to the size of my hands struggling) and needed guidance. They were patient and gave me lots of assistance. Once I had ordered the ukulele it was discovered the one in stock would be considered Grade B. I was updated and given options and subsequently a discount for my patience. The ukelele that subsequently arrived (new stock) was perfect, tuned and packaged beautifully. In the past I bought ukes at general music dealers, or around London's Denmark Street. But those shops don't know ukuleles in depth like SUS do. I love the passion, the knowledge and superb range. The 'SUS' YouTube channel is a wonderful thing they do, I learned so much - and just love the discussion and insight. I'm so happy with my mango uke! Outstanding business. Extremely helpful, honest staff, informative website, complete with excellent comparison videos helping to make an informed choice when unable to visit the shop. Even if they're not the cheapest supplier (they probably are for a lot of things), I can't imagine you'll find better in terms of attention to detail, promptness and clarity of communication.

This is my 2nd Ukulele bought from these very helpful guys at S.U.S. A PonoMTD with strap button fitted for me, and Sonoma Bag. Purchases arrived well packaged, in great condition, and very promptly. I'd just like to offer some feedback on my recent purchase of a tenor ukulele: Your website provided comprehensive information, including video reviews of the instrument I ended up buying and its direct competitors - so I could hear the instrument even in lockdown. I received prompt, comprehensive and informative feedback to a couple of email questions I had in respect of conversion to left-handed and stringing. The online options for using my own choice of strings, converting to lefty and adding accessories were all straightforward. The ukulele arrived, safely packaged with the accessories in the gigbag, and was correctly set up and ready to play. If anything, it's a better buy than it appeared to be online. It was even almost in tune with itself - although obviously tuned down for transit. Really impressed with the service and the quality of the products, I'll be back for an upgrade soon! Many thanks.

These folks are unbelievable. They know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge and expertise with you. I think what I like most about them is that they won’t oversell you. If you tell them your budget, they are dedicated to satisfying you within the perimeters of your finances. Quite frankly, it seems more and more unusual these days to find a salesperson who is much more concerned with correctly fitting a customer to an instrument he/ she will love than pushing an unnecessary product for a bigger commission. Said another way, first and foremost, these guys are musicians who are passionate about helping other musicians whether those musicians are beginners, professionals or somewhere in between. I would urge potential customers to sample their plethora of videos on You Tube. You’ll get a feel for the place and the people who staff it. In short, I would recommend Southern Ukulele to anyone who is interested in dealing with people of integrity and zeal. i firmly believe you won’t be disappointed in them or your purchase.

Couldn't resist the Kala KA-BEM Exotic Mahogany Ukulele that SUS were offering at a bargain price. Listed as B grade but I was unable to find a fault that wouldn't be present after playing it a few times. Lovely instrument , lovely company what more can I say !!

Being from Canada, decent uke brands are few and far between. I started following these guys and felt envious for not having access to so many great products. Until it dawned on me that I could actually order from them! Gotta say the experience has been dee-lightful! Incredibly quick response from Alex and Rob. Even calmed me down when I was about to lessen my purchase. I ended up with EXACTLY what I wanted, which means a lot being so far from the source. I will definitely use SUS as a go to uke store. No reason not to.

Honestly, I can't give these guys enough praise! They are so accommodating in so many ways, give lots of supportive advice to help making your purchasing choice a little easier - although its always a very subjective decision. Bought a Hawaiian Ukulele, spent about an hour or so on the phone discussing aspects of the ukulele (as I live some distance from the shop). I bought it, it arrived incredibly quickly and it more than lives up to the expectations we discussed on the phone. The ukulele and Southern Ukulele Store are fantastic.
