I came across the store by chance (I live in Milan, Italy). I asked a number of questions about a number of different ukuleles and Alex and Rob (who I communicate with via e-mail) were always very clear and honest. They work with you and give all the suggestions and help you need regarding woods, sound, and, of course, the available budget! I am extremely pleased with my Kiwaya mahogany concert, which is absolutely gorgeous and very playable. I also bought a very nice hard case for it to live in. As I said, I live in Italy. Shipping was super-fast! It got to me in TWO DAYS! Incredible! Packaging was perfect! I will definitely be back for more and will pay you a visit the next time I get down your way. Brilliant!

I could easily wax lyrical about the folks at Southern Ukulele Store, but will try to keep it short and sweet. It was a bit of a revelation when I came across them for the first time. Now I'm a multiple purchaser, and without hesitation will buy from them again. Their knowledge and passion, is matched by their warmth and approachability. Not to mention all the extra stuff they do promoting ukuleles and ukulele playing. They're amazing. Can't recommend them enough!

This store deserves high praise. As a fairly new beginner and wanting to progress I emailed for advice about upgrading my ukulele. I mentioned my budget and a couple of instruments from the website that appealed to me. By return I was given advice with no pressure to buy something more expensive. I ordered in the late afternoon and the ukulele was with me in Scotland less than two days later. And so, a great service and a very satisfied customer. I should add that this took place in the difficult circumstances of the Covid constraints.

Fantastic service in the midst of the pandemic. Ordered a Kala soprano ukulele for my wife's birthday on Friday and it arrived on Saturday! Can't say fairer than that.

Ordered from the 🇳🇱 Netherlands! I got the exact ukulele I wanted because of excellent customer service. Photos were sent to me so I knew exactly what my uke looked like. It was perfectly set up and arrived in 2 days in perfect condition! Hats off to SUS!

Alex was excellent throughout and provided great advice by email and phone. Although lockdown prevented me visiting Southern Ukelele, I am delighted with my Concert Pono and know I have made the right decision. I bought a brilliant Flight Uke from these guys during lockdown in April. From start to finish they were amazing. From on-line advice from their videos and sound files, thru chatting on the phone about string, strap and other options. These are truly great people, know tons about music in general and ukes in particular. Service was fast and hassle free. My new uke had to be retuned. They organised everything, fixed it and had it back to me in a few days Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I just wish they had a “northern” uke store. I've bought from SUS before so had no qualms about ordering from them again and it seems as if they have risen to the challenge again. I ordered a concert ukulele with different strings to standard and with a strap button fitted. It arrived just 36 hours after ordering -amazing! The uke looks good, sounds good and is fun to play (it makes a change from my usual baritones). The setup seems pretty good, the packaging was fine and the delivery was good too. All in all, a fantastic experience - so, many thanks to all at SUS

A specialist ukulele store with a large selection of brands rather than a dusty niche hidden behind isles of other instruments. Highly knowledgeable, always provided me with sound advice and never just pushing a particular product. Will buy from here again....and probably again, and again.

After a year or so of playing with a plastic ukelele, I wanted to get an upgrade. I browsed the web for a couple of weeks and bumped into the YouTube channel of the Southern Ukelele Store. They were showcasing pretty much every instrument they have in store. Went to NAMM and made a report about that. Offer delivery to Hungary - where I live. I sent them a mail asking what would be a good instrument for me. Within a day I got a reply with some suggestions. Due to my lack of knowledge about proper care for a wooden instrument (remember, mine was plastic), I had a few more questions which all were promptly answered. I ordered the ukelele they suggested. They sent me a track number. The uke arrived within a week. It was well packed, using plenty of bubble wrap. All in all, a good purchase. I'm happy to buy from SUS again.

For the first time of dealing with the store, at about 1 pm on Friday last, I ordered a new Ukulele from the Southern Ukulele Store. I was promised delivery on Monday (today) At 10am. On Saturday the uke arrived, less than 24 hours after ordering. It was tuned and set up as requested. I will definitely be purchasing more items from them in the future. They have got another happy customer
