5 Star Service I just received my Freshman UKLKOAC ukulele, very well packed and in perfect condition. As a guitar player this is my first ukulele to jam with friends. I made my choice based on the looks, and it really looks gorgeous, very nice outer body build, finish and craftmanship for this price range. And it also sounds great! I’m very happy with it ! Needed a case for a new ukulele. Rang the shop and received great advice; they were happy to talk, didn't mind me asking 'stupid' questions and helped me to a decision. Lo & behold, a brilliant case was delivered the next day. Can't rate this place highly enough.

I only started playing ukes this year after many years of playing a 12 string guitar! The sublime to the ridiculous? Er...no! I'd put it the other way round! Why haven't I tried a ukulele before now?! They are such beautiful instruments! After watching many excellent YouTube videos and therefore more confident and informed, I bought the Kai Tenor in July. It is gorgeous! Lovely to look at and play. And yesterday, after much thought and more YouTube watching and a smashing phone chat with Alex, I received my first Baritone, the Kala KA SS TU which is really cool! A brilliant shop, they offered excellent help and advice on a ukulele i'd bought elsewhere and didn't try to push me into buying one from them, but i'm so glad i did - my new uke is head and shoulders above the first one and they set it up exactly how i wanted. I would highly recommend them to anyone buying a ukulele.

Amazing store. I'm in France and I ordered my Pono ukulele at SUS because I couldn't find it at any local store. I was a bit worried about buying on the Internet and especially about the shipping, but the ukulele was well protected. It arrived safe and sound and promptly. Just purchased a great Ohana baritone uke with pre fitted gcea strings. Great initial advice led to my purchase and I'm now really delighted with the instrument. I'd thoroughly recommend Southern as THE provider for all of your uke needs.

I bought a koaloa soprano a few years back but now wanted a tenor. I was allowed to play anything i wanted and on the basis of my fingerstyle rather than strumming style received two recommendations of tonewoods. Went for coffee then came back and chose a mango wood tenor which plays beautifuly. If you want a starter, mid range, or serious K ukulele do go to SUS.

Bought my Kanile’a K1T5 on Friday and it was delivered on Wednesday perfect set up. Thoroughly delighted. Not bad considering it was bank holiday weekend also. Will definitely use SUS again many thanks.

Received my KTI-700 this morning. Chosen based on Southern Uke's YouTube most recent Uke comparison and review; also some research of my own - absolutely love it! It’s really playable, the action is much smoother than my Kala and the sound is nice and bright. Knocks my Kala KA-ST out of the park. Will keep watching your YouTube reviews. It is so satisfying to go to a music store that really understands the ukulele. These instruments are not tucked away apologetically amongst other instruments but are front and centre in all their glory. Such a wide range to look at and try out and very knowledgeable and friendly staff to talk about the instruments and help guide a decision. I ended up with a wonderful new ukulele, less expensive than I was prepared to go, simply because they have such a good range. I'll definitely be dropping by next time I'm in town, even if it's just for a chat

Bought a high end uke from SUS. I wasn't able to visit in person and the team went to the trouble of making a video for me so I could hear how it sounded. They provided excellent advice with respect to the set up and the fitment of the electro-acoustic pick up. Delivery was quick - a first rate service throughout. Recommended.

I haven't brought an upgrade model to my beginners ukulele yet, and it's the fault of the shop that I spent well over an hour visiting this week. Despite having enjoyed playing'ish a good mid-range tenor and hearing expert, sympathetic advice, suggestions and ideas, the thought was to wait a little longer and look at machines from the Pono factory when available in-store. It was refreshing to receive such good customer service with zero pressure to buy from someone so willing to offer loads of knowledge and enthusiasm. I left, brought and ice cream, drove 60 miles home and can't wait to return another day soon.

I have just received a Snail Tenor Ukulele from Alex and the team at Southern Ukulele Store. Fantastic customer service, quick and secure postage to Australia, the uke arrived safe and sound and truly sounds better than anything I have owned or played before, I was, as you can expect slightly worried about buying from UK but I need not of worried it was a painless experience, made easy by Alex, it was my first purchase from SUS but it certainly won’t be my last. I wanted to upgrade my Tenor ukulele and after seeing a YouTube video showing a gorgeous Kanile’a Tenor my mind was made up. I had to have it! I emailed Rob and Alex who replied quickly and even held it for me until my return from my holiday. Rob and his staff at the Southern Ukulele Store made the purchase of my Kanile’a K-3 T ukulele a pleasure and I certainly will be returning to stock up my ukulele collection soon.

Really great service from Alex at SUS setting up a Kala concert uke for me. Buying on-line from this shop is the closest you can get to shopping in person – and almost as quick!

i was looking to upgrade my baritone uke, and after long lost hours searching the web found SUS. they had exactly what i wanted, at a good price, and gave me a really good deal. their customer service is 'second to none'.. If you want a uke go here, don't waste your time looking all over the web.
