The first documented evidence of viticulture in the Pieroth family was in 1675, and we haven't stopped producing wine since - in fact we still make wine from our estate in Burg Layen, Germany, where everything started for us. The name of Pieroth is synonymous with viticulture expertise, strong family traditions and an unsurpassed range of exclusive wines. Excellent customer service and expertise acquired over many years have made us the undisputed market leaders in direct wine sales all over the world. Why not come on a wine-derful journey with us from grape to glass.
We are a group of students at Newcastle University who came across Pieroth at Living North, Newcastle Racecourse. We thought a wine tasting would be a fun, different and enjoyable way to end our year....and it certainly didn't disappoint! Colin Toghill was brilliant; very easy going, knowledgeable on the wines and really just a great guy; he made the night the success it was. It was not stuffy or too formal but instead a nice laid back evening enjoying great wine. Thanks Colin!
Absolutely disgusted Ordered and paid for two cases of wine £80 each. Pieroth took £230.26 should have been £160. Waited nearly a month for Delivery when delivered I received 1 box what I ordered and a different box. At my wits end...........
We all had a really enjoyable evening with Bill Shirbon. He was so patient (most of my guests turned up late) – even so every one found the session educational and informative. What I really enjoyed was the variety of countries, some of them I’d never sampled wines from. No big sell or pressure to buy, just an introduction to some very nice wines indeed. We were all sorry when the session came to an end it was great. So pleased I purchased 2 at the Ideal Home Exhibition.
Wine tasting carried out with Dougy Gray in aberdeen was very well presented, informative and his knowledge of the product was very good. The wine was very nice as well
Since meeting the Wineman (Angelo) from Pieroth Wines, at a friends party, just over a year ago, he has brought me some very nice wines indeed, over the past year. As l cant get out much, he even delivers them for me. Always found the wine to be of good quality and to my palate. I shall miss him when he leaves.
What can I say .... the wines are superb and as for the chap who comes to us ,roland he is very knowledgeable and passionate about their wines . The fact that you can try before you buy is always a bonus . So if your as passionate about your wines as these guys are then don’t hesitate to get in touch with them and arrange an evening of wine tasting
I was introduced to Pieroth wines through their salesman Roger Davis at The Southport Flower show last year. Since that time Roger has continued to be my contact and has without fail supplied me with the best wine I have ever tasted. His no pressure approach and evident knowledge of the company's product always makes it a pleasure to deal with him.
I have been a customer for over 20 years now and love the wine. Being able to try the wine before you buy is great as have once brought a bottle from local supermarket and yes guess where that ended up hmmmm down the plug hole. As the saying goes you pay for what you get. My rep Roland Marsh is very friendly and always turns up on time and knows exactly what wine I like even though sometimes he gives me a taste of one that he knows I wouldn't like just to see my screwed up face hee hee is ok I always get him back though. I enjoy going to the shows but a little disappointed there isn't 1 this summer as I enjoy meeting other wine lovers. I went 1 year alone and met with 2 fantastic ladies and boy did we have fun had Roland running around after us hee hee. I did have to laugh though when Roland told me that after opening a bottle it could be kept unopened for ages and still taste the same..... AS IF eh lol once opened the bottle always get drunk as I enjoy it too much. Now to end as the last drop in the bottle really love the wine and look forward to my next tasting with Roland.
Great company they come to your house for wine tasting. No pressure sales from our friendly salesman Roland Marsh. We have been a customer for several years now and have no complaints.
I would like to thank the Stirling branch and in particular Mr. E. Grattan of Pieroth Wines for their service over the past 3 yrs. I became a customer after a home tasting which was most enjoyable. I have tasted wines from all over the world, many I would not have tried. I can honestly say that I have not had a wine I did not like but my rep assures me if I find one he will change it. What better service could you get. Thank you all.
I have been buying wine from Pieroth now for many years. Over the years I've dealt with a number of different reps and all have been very knowledgeable about the wines they bring for me to try. My current rep is Eddie from the Stirling branch and he is really nice. He's very easy to get along with and never puts me under any pressure to buy. I'm impressed with the fact that he does his homework before he comes because, although he has lots of clients, he remembers what my favourite choices are and is able to recommend other really good wines that he thinks I might like. In all the years I've bought from them I've only once been disappointed in a wine and when I contacted them about this they were really good about taking it back without any bother. The wine is excellent and even if I've overindulged on occasion it never gives me a headache as some cheaper wine does - such good quality!
I was given the chance to sample some of Pieroths wines and have to admit I thought it would be an evening of hard sell and terrible overpriced wine. How wrong can one person be! Firstly, John from the Keith branch was a friendly, easy going guy who had an extensive knowledge of the wines. He was informative without being long winded and boring. Not once did I feel pressured into purchasing wine My favourite was the Ponticello rose. Delicious over ice in a large glass. I also tasted a cheeky wee fizz called Flamboyance of Flamingoes. A super summer sparkler which to my annoyance sold out before I could repeat my order. But the star of the collection to me was the Prosecco. I took a gamble and purchased this without tasting but i’m so glad I did. A pound or two more expensive than the supermarket stuff but pure quality. So much so I am awaiting delivery of another case. Don’t be put off by some of the feedback on here especially if John is the rep who visits you. A great guy. Thank you John!!
We have had had numerous wine tasting with Kevin and they have been great. Kevin is very knowledgeable and makes it a great night. The wines are amazing and great that you can try before you buy. The sherry is amazing and I wasn't a red wine drinker before but the great wines on offer have converted me. As a member you get great offers and invites to events which are great having attended 2 in some amazing venues. Kevin is my go to guy for wine. Will always buy from here and will also have one of the wine evenings. I first got a voucher off Groupon to have a wine tasting with Kevin and now the whole family and my friends are Pieroth wine lovers.
I received a Pieroth voucher as a birthday present and what a waste of money. They failed to turn up for appointment then messed us about so I asked for the voucher to be refunded back to the purchaser. Guess what? Didn't happen! This is obviously a means to make money without putting any effort in to their business. Stay well clear, do not touch, waste of money and any other like description!!
Great wine terrible customer service. Have ordered two cases which were just left outside my house in plain view (yodel delivered I believe). My account manager Called after I ordered to ask when I would like another case, I mentioned to call me in march. He never called and I never received his contact information as he said on the call. I then received a call mid April and I said I needed an updated wine list and a call at a more convenient time. I received neither and excuses on the phone as to why I wasn't called earlier. I never got an updated wine list or a call back in the next months. I emailed their sales alias email and customer service email and heard nothing. Well thanks for making it easy for me to not buy more of your wine... Why would you make that so easy for me.... Plenty of other wineries out there who provide similar quality wine with much better service.
Have just received another review with a promise of 4 decorative mugs. Received this same review at least two years ago and despite telephoning after a few months have still not received my original promised mug set. Not a trustworthy company. The operative I spoke to all that time ago promised everything but I ended up with nothing,
