Brilliant service from them both Update reference to below Mitox have agreed with the supplier that the two items will be replaced At the moment have not received them so have given 3 stars If they deliver as agreed then l will give five stars I would still like to know why two new pieces of kit went wrong so quickly Email sent to the supplier Photos attached below of the bearing in the hedge trimmer head As per phone conversation the chain saw is now not working at full rotation and the engine is under pressure to turn the chain Fills like the hedge trimmer did not working at full rotation I now have to bring it back to you to be checked again I bought it on the Wednesday and used it, went to use it on the Friday, would start but when the trigger was engaged the engine cut out so l bought it back to you to adjust which you did. I have brought the service adjustment tool on eBay as again it would start but will not operate at full power Now a week later the hedge trimmer bearing-has gone and today the chain saw is not working properly I know it’s under warranty but the machine is two weeks old and been used five times for about 20minutes a time. This machine is two weeks old, less then three hours work. I have to return it back to be looked at by yourselves which is a 1 and 1/2 hours round trip every time I would like Mitox to replace the whole machine as the one I have is not fit for purpose

Delivered on time, though unfortunately without the chain in the packaging, but two provided by return of post when Mitox contacted. Only used the chainsaw lopper so far to attack a long length of severly overgrown field hedge. Great reach and very efficient. Overall, a good machine at competitive price point and efficient service.

Very fast delivery service

Being used to a Danarm, I was aprehensive about this machine. First things first. It's easy to assemble common sense can almost guide, and it needs to the instructions are like so many these days, printed 50 years ago, or they look faded enough to have been. My eyesight isn't great these days so it is an issue, please take notice. Having assembled it I then fuelled it up, this is a heavy machine, it needs the harness which takes some sorting out, but once that's done you're ready to go. I was amazed at how EASY it is to start, two pulls and she was off. While i haven't used the brush cutter yet, I am confident it will be more than adequate, I used it on long grass and it was like a hot knofe through butter. Unfortunately i was unable to giuve it a prolonged test because the strimmer cord is only just enough, really Mitox why so mean? My impression is that this brush cutter will do me as long as I give it the required maintenance. It os heavy but the harness, vital, will spread the load. 4 stars because of the meaness of cord.

Initially I have a few problems, but upon speaking to Chris from Mitox I had put the guard on wrong which made it harder to use and in turn I initially gave a very average review. Chris was very helpful and sent me a picture of how the strimmer head should look when assembled correctly, I quickly adjusted the guard and now things are much better with cutting. I use Stihl FS-460/410's on a daily basis for my work but wasn't willing to pay the price for one and seen the Mitox 550ux looked very similar to what I use at work so purchased it, the engine is very powerful and upon correcting the guard position cutting is as good as the stihl's I use, slightly heavier but not by much....extremely satisfied now. Big thanks to Chris from Mitox for the assistance.

I have had the Multi tool 28 for 4 weeks. No problems with it. I took it out of the box put the strimmer head on primed it 2nd pull on the rope and away it went. TOP JOB. I have used all the attachments with no problem. The trimmer on the extension is a bit over balanced and my muscles in my arm were stretched a bit but then again I am not as strong as I was. Would recommend this tool to anyone. HAPPY GARDEN MAINTENANCE

Excellent service, excellent machine.. turned up quickly and works brilliantly I have a number of Mitox machines and I Will need to see if it suffers from a common problem where the fuel line gets constricted after time and the machine won’t run. This seems to be a recurrent problem. Relatively easily fixed but.... Nonetheless pleased so far.

Mitox 550UX - Fantastic machine for the money!!! Very pleased so far, feels good quality and excellent value for money

I purchased a mitox 25C-SP strimmer in April 2016 to use on my allotment. Initially it worked fairly well,but could be temperamental to start. Last summer whilst in use, the square drive shaft fell out as the retaining screws had sheared off. I took it to the local mitox dealer and was quoted £30-£35 for it to be repaired. THREE MONTHS later it was finally returned having been fitted with a new drive assembly and head, and charged £91! Which was marginally more than the original cost. Two days later I went to use the strimmer, it ran for approximately 15minutes, (but wouldn't run if the choke was more than half closed) and then the head flew off shattering the strimmer guard and large shards of plastic narrowly missing my legs. It was immediately returned to the dealer (Morris' in Rhuddlan) who were less than sympathetic and implied that I was at fault, though as I was strimming grass paths which is what the strimmer is meant to do, what exactly was I doing wrong? They eventually agreed to look at it again, and it returned to me a few weeks later.As I had no need to use it over the winter it was drained of fuel and stored in our garage. Last weekend, (April 6th) I took the strimmer to my allotment,filled it with fresh fuel and attempted to start it. 36 attempts later it finally spluttered into life and ran for 15minutes before the head once again flew off shattering the strimmer guard. Fortunately on this occasion I was wearing my son's chainsaw trousers which meant that the shard of plastic was embedded in Kevlar rather than my leg. This machine is dangerous,unfit for purpose and a waste of money. Customer service from mitox is non existent, as they choose to ignore emails and phone calls. Buy this piece of equipment at your peril.
