I booked a fire certificate on line using the special offer. I paid on line. When the engineer arrived I was told they had made a mistake and the offer should not have been on the web Clearly I had booked and made the contract on line and they had taken my money. They then refused to do the work unless I paid a further 100% before doint the inspection. I had takken time out to meet the enigeer. Can only be described a sharp practice. BEWARE

I booked an engineer for an electrical safety check. The whole process was painless and smooth. They even rearranged to an earlier appointment at short notice to fit my tenant's availability. The engineer that attended was very professional and did the job efficiently. Will definitely use again for my gas safety check when its next due.

The man rocked up at my house, busted my gas meter then stated as its now not working he is unable to carry out the gas safety Inspection and would have to come another day. I was fuming as I had already taken time off work to get it done. He then proceeded to tell me if i didn't continue with the electrical testing he would charge me call out fee as he would not get paid. I got quite angry at that as I felt this whole incident started with him and he had the cheek to tell me about call out charges which was never mentioned to me by the company at point of booking. He rang office and they said to waiver any call out fee. He then left my home without turning off the gas meter dispute knowing that there was a strong smell of gas omitting from the meter. As the smell started to quickly seep into the house through the open window and was very strong I contacted British gas immediately. He did say he would call national grid to report the meter himself, but as a precaution I called British gas myself as I had my little girl in the house who could also smell the gas. I am disgusted by this firm and would never recommend anyone to their services as you don't know what cowboy person will be attending. British gas were efficient and came within half hour and put a new meter in. I will never deal with this firm again.
