FAQs
Vicky was excellent. Resolved the issue immediately and provided me with reassurance.
Simply the worst building management company ever, they keep increasing the bill every year and doing literally nothing.
Very patient representative. Thanks.
Health & Safety ignored Terrible company, very poor customer service to the point of just ignoring you. For the last 14 years the work they are contracted to doesn’t get done, often leaving health and safety issues. After a fire broke out in land that Greenbelt managed, the fire brigade said it was shocking that land was not being managed and allowed to get in to such a dangerous state. It happened at 11am on a sunny morning and the area is under CCTV surveillance, which showed nobody had entered that area, as they could not due to it being so overgrown. No CCTV copy was requested by the police or fire brigade. There is plenty of evidence that from before or after the fire Greenbelt have not maintained the land as contractually obliged, hence the Health and Safety comments. I can assure Greenbelt there are no false accusations and whether the fire was started by nature or human it was fuelled by unmanaged vegetation for many years that is still there today and you are still responsible for. As expected even after the fire Greenbelt continued NOT to manage the land and still have not years later to this day, and for some reason seem happy to leave a health and safety issue outstanding. Have written many times to try and get a date to fix, at least the health and safety issues to which they have not responded. Interesting that they can respond to a review in a few hours but not to emails in weeks. This highlights where their priorities lie. All concerns have been provided to greenbelt in several emails on behalf of multiple residents which I will share with trustpilot if required. Greenbelt do not need any individual contact details as this is a shared area for all the residents of the Balgarvie Estate and public as they have been told on several occasions captured in emails. This is a company that insists on personal details to raise an issue when they have not carried out work in communal areas for years, which is a great way of deflecting to avoid doing urgent health and safety work and again shows their priorities. To see pictures of our communal land poorly managed by Greenbelt and see google reviews of 1.3 out of 5. Search "greenbelt group glasgow" Please also look at the 1.2 out of 5 score in Review.io, search for greenbelt group Balgarvie Estate, Scone, Scotland
I am astounded this company still exists based on my own, and others experiences. As seems common, we were not informed of the land management charge when purchasing our property. We paid our first two years bills without issue, the third bill presented was incorrect (incorrectly divided by number of property's). I immediately raised this with customer services, who couldn't grasp this initially). That was September 2023...as of today my last contact from Greenbelt (David Condon) was June 2024 who was still trying to get our account dispute corrected (shouldn't be that difficult to rectify). Due to their complete lack of contact since, despite my repeated efforts to get it resolved, I decided to raise a Housing and Property Chamber case request (which has been accepted and is on-going). This means our account with Greenbelt should still be frozen, pending the outcome of the HPC tribunal. Low and behold, even though I contacted Greenbelt as soon as our new bill was issued to highlight this fact and I would settle pending the tribunal outcome, we have received debt collection letters from them with the "infamous" late payment charges. There seems to be a complete lack of communication between their departments as it shouldn't be down to myself to highlight something that should be blindingly obvious to them. I'm not sure what potential legal action I may be able to take against them due to the threatening debt collection letters that they like to send out, but rest assured I will be exploring all possible options to hold them to account.
Community Liaison Officer Nick Upton and a man from Benger Landscaping held a meeting this morning to discuss Greenbelt's soon-to-be role as land managers of the estate where I live. He was open about the issues surrounding the transfer of responsibility from the developers to Greenbelt and how the estate's residents might be affected, both in terms of maintenance and costs. The meeting has left me better informed and I am grateful to him and the man from the landscaping company for their apparent candidness.
Useful chat.
Everytime I have contacted Greenbelt, their repsonses have been prompt and courteous and they do a good job of keeping our estate clean and tidy, so I would recommend them as one of the better managment companies out there!
Prompt service
After emailing the company in July to ask that trees overhanging my garden building be cut back, they asked for photos, which I sent. I have had no further reply to several emails. Have now obtained a quote from a local company for removal of the trees.
We're forced to pay "ground maintenance" on our Bellway estate. They've just put the prices up 15%. 140 houses currently pay £120/year for them to mow two small areas of grass and cut one hedge. They regularly let everything get overgrow. Once they simply cut half the hedge and chucked the off cuttings on top. £50 of that fee is "Admin"?!
I made an enquiry for a pack to assist my solicitor in my house move. Beth Westlake helped me, she was very friendly on the phone and extremely helpful. Beth dealt with my enquiry to completion on the same day and I want to say thank you Beth! Best customer service I’ve ever had with any company. Thank you
Dealt with smoothly.
The colleague I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and resolved my query quickly. She also followed up with an email to confirm everything was resolved.
They increased their fees 24% from one year to another, without any visible improvement in the service. They take advantage of being a big company and force residents into paying their extortionate fees, then they send 3rd party subcontractors. I am sure someone got a very good pay package out of this.
Really easy to get hold off and resolved by query quickly and efficiently with confirmation via email also.
I am not computer saved and get into a panic when have to pay on line. The staff member was very helpful and got me sorted out
I would like to express my sincere thanks to Sian and Beth at Greenbelt for helping us to obtain our Certificate of Compliance. This is an important document for which HM Gov Registry require in order to obtain the Deeds to our property. They were both very polite and professional on the phone and the process was seamless. Thanks again.
This year the bill has gone up by 27% from last year for an area that isn't accessible from the estate I live on. I've not seen any repair work, any maintenance work taking place. There is no ceiling on the amount that this company can charge. I've started the process to question the charges. I'll look to register a complaint. I've written to my local MP regarding this. I wasn't informed when I bought the house about this service maintenance company but I would strongly advise for anybody looking to buy a house which has service management costs associated, to avoid. It's clear to me that there has some been payments from the development companies to Greenbelt and others - it should be looked at by Politicians and be made illegal
Very helpful
