Useful to find some family history. Seems to be some duplication Functionality of system not always smooth Cost of signing up is somewhat prohibitive
I don't find it as easy as other sites to search or navigate
As a pensioner I struggle to find extra money to afford the subscription so it was great to take advantage of the free weekend recently- I’ve been researching my family for some time and I always find something new each time!
A great site to start your genealogy quest or to build upon an existing one. The newspaper section is excellent.
It was really good to have free access to Find my Past website over Remembrance Weekend. I found some interesting information about my ancestors. It was great to be able to search in the Newspaper section as well. Very easy to use the site.
Needs you to do the work yourself.
I love all the records I was able to find! I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t so expensive.
i,m knew to this site so its nice to beable to be led gently through
Free access to all records including the 1921 census to all with or without a subscription is incredibly generous and I really appreciate it.
Wish they had a monthly payment
Simple to use, but quite expensive compared with some others. However, its simplicity in use makes it a winner. Did not proceed as someone accidentally committed me to a competitor and we could easily not get a refund.
Didn’t tell me anything other than what I’d inputted
Not a patch on ancestry.com. Searching very difficult. Too much inconsequential and inaccurate stuff about maps & news at the time.
Easy to navigate and get started.
I must be honest having temporary free access to 1921 Census has been great
I’m happy to find stuff about my dad and his family,I need more info about my dad, pictures etc my dad died when I was ten yrs old thnkyou
I wanted to find newspaper articles referencing my grandfather and found many. I was able to take clippings and save these to his profile on the family tree. But the clippings could not be printed or saved in any way that was properly readable and I could find no advice about this on the website. I spent a lot of time trying with disappointing results so feel frustrated. It is a very fiddly website. A least I’ve collected the newspaper titles, dates and pages so will be able to try again at some point via a different website or if FMP gives some clear advice
Good set of data sources easy to build tree. A lot of the hints are obviously incorrect. However despite looking hard I have been unable to find a way of exporting myself tree to gedcom format to input into tree validation and reporting tools. If it allowed this is would be excellent
The tree navigator is poor, amending or adding information creates duplicates too easily
I’m finding the app a bit clunky. It doesn’t always register the info that I’ve entered and I have to re-enter.
