Had a look with a free weekend. My cousin has done a lot of research with our family tree and I found a couple of slight inaccuracies in things. Firstly my grandfather’s dob was a day out, could have been a typo, my father had half siblings on both sides, a brother Charles Henry who you said Henry and a sister Ellen who you said Emma but other than that, what I looked at was fairly accurate.
Ease of use and I really liked the layout when getting search results.
Mainly I used the 1921 census & 1939 register which were very useful, its was easy to search and add to the tree section, The BDM was also very useful
Easy to use.
Obviously the free weekend was great and the hints are very good - all in all a good site to trace family ancestors.
After the first search it was hard to use on a tablet. The key parts of the information were difficult to copy, the hints and suggestions drove the direction of the search away from getting an overview, multiple suggestions that may or may not be useful came up. Maybe it works better on a PC with big screen but I gave up.
Easy to navigate site. Ample resources to investigate and advance my family history research
Enjoy gong back to my tree again and looking and looking but getting no where but the experience was just as the first time I did it
Took advantage of the free weekend. Enjoyed the newspapers and found information on a family member. Found the website a bit difficult to navigate after Ancestry but will probably pay for a short subscription at some point.
A Free Weekend, Well Actually 4 Days Free. This Made A Great Opportunity To Check Out Certain Members Of My Family Without Obligation. I Found This To Be A Straight Forward Website, Quick And Easy To Use, I Look Forward To Finding More Facts About My Family In The Future.
Found what I needed kept crashing
You just need to be able to cancel much easier if you dont want to extend the trial period
Loved this app!! Once you put names in - it gives you hints of who you could be related too. I even put little photos of the relatives I found!!
I had difficulty signing in, so got a new password. It wasnt accepted , after trying again I gave up. I had been intending to check out war records over the free weekend. As this wasnt possible,I have no interest in having a membership .
The site has changed recently, the new format isn’t as user friendly as it once was.
I have spent a number of years collecting information for my family tree. During that time, I have used a variety of websites. Each has provided information - some to only a limited degree and others have provided a wealth of information. By researching carefully, I can generally find most of the information I want. It may mean collating details from more than one site in order to achieve the end result. I have found Find My Past good when it come to looking for elusive certificates, especially for my Welsh ancestors. Additionally, the information such as the 1921 Census is vital in order to complete more accurate coverage of family members locations. I like the way information is laid out and transcripts are clear and mainly accurate. Personally, I have found it a useful and user-friendly site.
Easy to use . I found lots of information in a few hours.
I used find my past this weekend because the 1921 census was available for free. In the past it has been very expensive to pay for each search. I don’t think I’ll be searching the census again, unless I get a free offer again.
I find that this UK-focussed genealogy database is very easy to use. It has a good and growing range of data sources and its work on the 1921 England and Wales Census is superb.
