how easy it was to navigate the site
It’s been great getting information about my family in the 1800.
Very easy to use great results
very useful hints
I took advantage of the free offer last weekend and managed to trace both sides of my family back for 4 generations. Great website I plan to subscribe soon when I have more time to undertake family research
gave a lot of information also I think this is the only site that offers 1921 census which is very helpfull
Great website an interesting time using the site. I will subscribe when I can see a time when I'll get most use out of the info. I know it's beyond your control but some of the records have been wrongly transcribed not only names but dates of birth. I looked on the originals documents and although handwriting can be difficult to transcribe many of the errors I found were very clear on the original documents but obviously the transcribers were not very accurate. I volunteer in an archive so I know how accurate we need to be transcribing and entering on to databases
I am delighted with my experiences on Findmypast. I entrusted my Family Tree to them and have not been disappointed. Many genealogy sites only allow you to include a certain number of family members on the Tree and any additions have to be made at extra cost. This is not the case with Findmypast. Ii is set up to be user friendly and the amount of information you can store is impressive. The free access to Military records over the Remembrance weekend was particularly pleasing and welcoming and much appreciated. I certainly was grateful for the opportunity to update my information on Family members who fought particularly in WW1. I do not have a paid annual account simply because of cost. I do appreciate the amount of human and other resources which support the network but do find the costs personally prohibitive. Overall, Findmypast is an excellent resource who I would recommend to any prospective user interested in family history.
Each genealogy app has information others do not have. I am close to having exhausted all relevant information from my past provider and would dearly love to re-subscribe to findmypast to benefit from their new data. However, I do not have limitless funds to join all productive providers and am limited in time available to access this worthy platform. I would love a membership based on number of access days.
Found something regarding a relatives past, unfortunately the important bits couldn't be found.
I really enjoyed all that was available especially the 1921 & 1939 census - extremely helpful. I found a relative I did not know about. Easy & clear to use when you get used to the website. Thank you very much
So interesting to be able to search and find details of my family through the various records held. The fact that 'hints' were also offered really helped. Plan to continue to use the site to explore of my family tree .
Find site had to navigate, unable to delete possible people auto added but not required - causing tree to be erroneous
Was a little disappointed how much help it does give you to start off with. You have to know the basics information to get started and if you need any more information you have to pay so really you don't get any real information until you start paying. The family tree part sometimes put your relative in the wrong place then won't let you move them to the right place
Great they gave a tested time loop .it's a good site with lots of records
Nice tool but the pricing is wild. I have software subscriptions that I usually daily and are integral to my livelihood that cost less.
Helped with initial enquiries.
Really loved searching my family. I know there must be so much more to find
Lots of information, easy to find and navigate. A great experience on this site.
Having a free weekend to do research was a great boon. There are so many websites for genealogy that it gets too expensive to join them all, and to know which is the best.
