I'm using the free trial and debating whether to keep the subscription. The fact you cannot get the census records without paying the higher rate is poor value as it is quite basic information for a geneologist. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed. Not nearly as good as the free access weekend led me to believe.

I dip in and out, and have done for many years. I enjoy finding out about the past and Find my Past is great - easy to use and always informative. I shall carry on when I have the time because it's always interesting.

Informative. The 1921 census, the military records and the newspaper records are a major factor in making this a must for genealogists. Evolving all the time( Hoping him time will have all the national service records soon. But recommend

When researching in England and Wales, I like to use Findmypast. Their search format is very helpful, shows me all the options for the person in question and helps me avoid making wrong connections in relationships. I am also very impressed with with their parish and military records. The 1921 census has proven extremely valuable. The ability to search certain records by occupation is a great bonus. Their response to data errors in transcribed sources is both timely and thorough. Having been a subscriber for years and researching extensively and regularly, I can also recommend their customer service team as very prompt and very courteous and helpful.

Newspaper items and 1921 census. Easy to navigate and download items. A few newspaper items were hard to find due to program unable to identify text i had in search box ,and too much text on newspaper page to search so I gave up. 1921 census was great, found all names I needed easy to find and read. Some transcript errors that were reported. Easy to download. If I knew the place for a search in 1921 census it was easier and quicker to get the correct information. Had a great time with the newspapers.n

It is a very easy site to navigate on and gives good hints to follow for individuals entered in on-line tree. Thank you

First time I used the site was amazed at the records you can use to find out details from your family to grow your family tree. Its very simple to use and gets better results than other well known sites of similar uses.

I think your service is very good, but unfortunately it is beyond my budget.

Does not cover Scotland very well Search results are often way outside the parameters I have input Just wastes my time if you just use the name to propose hints

I loved being able to look up newspaper extracts linked to the same name as the 1921 census search. Some exciting finds! However I was very frustrated by the numerous transcription errors particularly in the census which meant I either failed to find people or had to do a huge amount of guesswork/detective work to find someone as names were too often transcribed so badly. Half the time I had been able to give to the task was spent reporting transcription errors. I almost felt I should be charging FMP for my work in correcting errors!
