Probably nothing to do with you or your site, I think at 82 years old, Thanks. with limited knowledge of my geneology I can't continue and stay sane.

I was recommended a record after searching specific details, specifically choosing “exact” matches when making the search. Usually similar websites offer enough information from the record to verify it’s relevance before you purchase whilst understandably omitting more detailed information. This wasn’t the case but as the name matched and I had asked for exact matches I proceeded to pay the full membership which was over £20 as the record in question was a military record. It turned out it had no relevance whatsoever, the birthdates were 40 years apart and the person the record really concerned, also lived in a completely different part of the UK. I viewed a very small amount of records, newspaper articles, all of them ended up being equally as unrelated to my search but were recommended anyway. I contacted FindMyPast’s customer service team and was met with such a strange attitude from the customer service team after clearly explaining why I wanted a refund. I was told because “you then proceeded to view a vast amount of other records” (3 I believe) which I hadn’t saved and could clearly prove hadn't bared any relevance to my search, again after requesting exact search results, I wasn’t entitled to a refund. Something about it just came across incredibly condescending and honestly quite snotty. Having had such great experiences with similar record archive websites, I wouldn’t ever try FindMyPast again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I knew.

They contacted me without me asking. I thought I was older than 17 when he died but I was not. And I never realised my mother lived on so many years after he passed.

marriage records are so easy to trace if you only have first name for one half of the marriage couple

Very good site, glad I went back to it after years on the other main one, this brings up what you ask for without loads of stuff you don't. All laid out easy to make sense of and already found information I have not found before. Only one with 1921 census records, I am impressed after only being back on it a few days.

Resarch made easy. I have been researching for several years but I have found the site easy to negotiate and th hints have progressed my tree much mor quickly than I would ever have managed. I am really impressed.

easy to use generally, plenty of data options/sources, helpful hints, easy to build family tree BUT could not work out how to print a tree so I could go over it carefully

It was great to look at my family history, so many people that could have told me stories of the past

I seemed to have lost a lot of information and media on my tree because I had a break from the site. Having to repeat a lot of research a rebuild tree.

Really easy to use on line but the app isn’t so good.

Being new to this website, it was very user friendly.

I do really like the availability of source material on FMP. However, the App is really awkward and clunky to use. The website is a little bit more intuitive but still awkward.

I enjoyed the easy to navigatable website and the hints i was given even when I didn't have detailed information. All functions are clear. Adding more relationships and adding family members is simple. Overall good website

Found the records I was looking for.

Excellent information, mostly easily accessible and simple to use although I struggled more with the newspapers.

The 1921 census records is primarily why I took this 3 month subscription. It is early days yet trying to move around the site and my tree. I am following tutorials to learn more. I have not found a record someone placed on Ancestry for a marriage record in a newspaper, which is somewhat disappointing, but will keep searching.

It will not access any password. Very frustrating.
